frye you're absolutely stunning
Hello everyone, today is July 30, 2026, it's my birthday.
Today I turned 25, and today marks the beginning of my 26th year in the G@za Strip. Since my birth, I have witnessed seven devastating and bloody wars, filled with fear, deatth, and hunger. Fortunately, I survived six of them, but in this seventh and most recent war, I was severely injured when our house was bombed while we were inside. I still suffer from shrapnel embedded in my body, which doctors here in G@za have been unable to remove due to the collapse and destruction of our healthcare system. So far!
As I write these words, the war of extermination continues. For three years until now, we have been completely besieged, starved, displaced, and killed with internationally prohibited weapons. We suffer from hunger and food deprivation. Worse still, we are deprived of medicine and painkillers, which are prevented from entering due to the Zionist siege. Severe restrictions are imposed on food, supplies, and water. We are suffering immensely. The Zionists have robbed me of all my aspirations and dreams since birth.
I hope this year will be different and that I can at least achieve some of my dreams (to receive treatment and alleviate my pain). But until then, I desperately need your h@lp. We are in dire need of your supp0rt. Please make this day special by d0nating and sharing this post.
Please send my dear friend Fadel some money for his birthday! <3
@closet-keys Thank you so much, my dear friend. I hope everyone will stand by me.
The government says destroying his own data during an airport interrogation was illegal.
A few things of note:
This is why people to your left have been chiding you about the "pedo" panic: now, the government can accuse you of being a "pedo" to justify committing crimes against you.
This is why people to your left have been chiding you about the "terrorist" moniker: for the last half century, the government can accuse you of being a "terrorist" to justify committing crimes against you.
The American government is claiming, simultaneously, that they had the right to search the phone because it was a routine search (ie, they searched without evidence of wrongdoing), and that saying that password was destruction of evidence because the phone contained evidence (ie, they searched due to evidence of wrongdoing).
While this is technically a legal argument to make, it seems very unlikely to lead to a conviction because it's hard to prove to a jury beyond reasonable doubt that the government both does and does not have evidence of wrongdoing.
You may beat the case, but you can't beat the ride.
The purpose of this lawfare isn't to get a conviction; the purpose is to make his activism more difficult. They arrest him and hold him and charge him and release him and slowly grind him down. He's currently out on bond. If they arrest him again for another bullshit charge, they can revoke his bond for the first bullshit charge.
All of this cost tens of thousands of dollars, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.
They don't care about getting a conviction. They care about making his life and his activism as difficult as possible in hopes that the future he is fighting for does not come to pass.
also, and this is important from a legal perspective, if they don’t drop the charges ultimately and it does go to court and they do get a conviction, they’ve just set legal precedent that allows them to continue doing this to anyone. per the article, this is the first example of law enforcement using that particular law to press charges related to destruction of data on a phone, but if they succeed in making the argument then that makes it much harder for the next person to defend themselves because prosecutors can point back to this case and the fact that the court upheld the argument.
it will then require supreme court appeals and legal revision to change that, or legislative action to ban this type of behavior on the part of law enforcement. which is not likely to happen with the current court appointments and political environment.
so either way they harass activists and discourage anti-law enforcement action, and in the best case (for them) they get to mold the law to their benefit.

Totally normal for a legitimate for-profit company to refuse to reclaim or stop running their products even after they're no longer being paid to do so. I'm sure it's very normal to just keep running your service for free when your contract's been terminated. Spending money to continue running cameras that supposedly no one is looking at is definitely not an indicator they are just run by the federal government to spy on everyone and only a wacko conspiracy theorist would think so.
Princess girls and Puppygirls are both different manifestations of wanting to be loved in a way you haven't felt without having to kill yourself to earn it.
"Villainess" princess girls on the other hand can't accept they actually deserve that love or admit that they need is so they dress it up as something they are taking from you.
Cat girls want to be loved but don't want to be overwhelmed
Knight girls and maid girls are convinced they have to earn the love they're missing by becoming essential to someone else.
Being raised with the expectation that we would perform masculinity left us all with a hole in our hearts that nobody taught us to patch and we're doing the best we can.
I love you, trans women.
I need you to not make a post where a trans woman is talking about trans women's experiences about you. I need you to just not fucking do that for once. Can you just fucking not.
Transmascs I need you to recognize that things can just not be about you sometimes. I promise you will survive letting trans women have literally anything without you shoving your nose in.
i love this guy
Actual marketing tactic that DOES exist btw. I can't remember the term, but all major businesses have special roles specifically for people who understand how to manipulate human behaviors & emotions. Why are snacks at the checkout area? Temptation. Why is candy so low to the ground? Children. Types of store lighting can affect peoples mood. Cheaper products are low or very high so people won't look for them. Branding companies have this as well for packaging & logos that hide products lack of quality & manipulate people to impulse buy.
I know damn well I watched a documentary on this in high school, but that was quiet awhile ago. Everything is designed to subtly manipulate your perceptions & tastes. Once you see it, it's everywhere & you can work against it out of pure spite.
I don't know if this is still a thing but they used to go so far as to make the flooring material in big stores in shopping centres slightly softer than the floors outside the store, so that customers would stay inside a bit longer since people have (largely subconscious) preferences about floor textures based on how easy they are to walk on and how much they hurt tired feet. The amount of research that goes into choosing the lighting in makeup and clothing stores is bonkers. Bakeries often smell a lot more like fresh bread or donuts than their actual baking activities would create -- they pipe the smell out front on purpose. Grocery stores are deliberately laid out to be very slightly confusing -- not confusing enough to impede buying, but confusing enough to send people down a few wrong aisles to look at products that they wouldn't otherwise see. Signs are often placed in aisles so that you have to go into the aisle a bit to read them clearly, or at least take a good look down it.
It's the job of the Visual Merchandiser to do this. I think the fitout of the store(picking flooring etc) *might* be a more specific job title, but when i studied VM i learned all about how to engage customers subconciously, colour theory and ways to use lighting are extremely effective, along with other sensory inputs, including visual which is why you'll find mirrors that make you look slimmer or that the lighting in change rooms is different to on the shop floor. Textures are also very important, both visually and physically.
Costco, as an example, deliberately don't list their in-warehouse products online so that you'll come into the warehouse to see what's in stock, and in addition to that they frequently change where stock is kept in the store so that you have to keep walking around looking for it, making it more likely that you'll see something else you impulsively pick up.
It all boils down to marketing, but majority of the decisions about ambience are made by the VMs
i think this is slightly prettier than my last bronya
life pro tip: if you happen to be considering purchasing an LG TV or monitor, you possibly want to pick something else! and if you have an LG monitor that has not been plugged into anything in a while, you might want to leave it that way!
if you already have an LG monitor or TV or intend to buy one, you probably want to watch this video and keep an eye on gamers nexus for updates (or anyone else covering the LG spying situation):
posted july 16 2026
LG is doing some bad things. how bad? well. here are some very brief bullet points. I am not an expert, gamers nexus is, see the video for more information than this:
LG monitors (brand new and years old, cheap and expensive) auto-install LG's own adware-spyware called LG Monitor App onto windows 10 and 11 computers. you plug in an LG monitor for video output and this gets installed automatically. no hitting OK, no confirmation, no toggles, NOTHING.
the auto-installed LG Monitor App auto-grants itself access to your internet connection and ALL computer resources. the LG Monitor App has the ability to collect: geolocation data, device data, personal information, online activity data, contact data, and more!
...and it shows pop-up ads! because fuck you
on some affected versions of windows, auto-installed shitware like the LG Monitor App can be prevented by navigating to gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> system -> device installation -> prevent automatic download of applications associated with metadata
...but, if your LG monitor already installed the LG Monitor App, this is like closing the barn door after the horse got out. and that horse has the logs of everything you were doing on your computer! someone stop that fucking horse!!!
unrelated to the LG Monitor App, many LG TV owners are now required to tell all household members and guests that their LG TV is recording and processing ALL nearby voices. or else they may be in violation of local eavesdropping and wiretapping laws. for owning a fucking LG TV.
plus, how many businesses, workplaces, public spaces use LG TVs?
allegedly the microphone spying can be turned off by disabling microphone features, but LG has been caught disregarding opt-out settings before.
LG TVs can record everything that happens on the TV, including the video output of connected devices like phones, computers, gaming consoles, anything that happens on the TV screen.
LG was sued for their spying, and as a result of that spying suit, now shows pop-ups saying oops! they got caught spying and intend to continue spying. thanks for buying LG!
as of when the video was posted, there was no list of every spying LG monitor or TV. but this stuff is getting rolled out to more and more LG devices, including those purchased years ago.
and that is the shortest summary I can make of this situation without just summarizing more of the gamers nexus video.
Update: We are working on a follow-up to the LG story and have some disturbing findings re: LG's products. It will take us a while to parse

gamers nexus is fairly respected in technology journalism. they fly around the world investigating companies that fuck people over and have pressured major companies to make major changes over the years.
so for gamers nexus to say that this LG spying situation is both unprecedented in how uniquely bad it is in this era of spying, and that it gets even worse than their video where they already say to stop buying and using LG products while recanting every prior recommendation for LG products?
