I know that this might be just a poorly thought out dialogue, but every single piece of content makes implications in the canon, therefore it must be considered!

Could he have been born in the Northern Territory of Australia and moved to Sydney afterwards? Or did he spend some time there for any other reason?

The fact remains, he must have mentioned something to Blacksheep that made her think he knows the region well. (Because she obviously DOES NOT HAVE the mindset of the obnoxious tourist who thinks random people on the street will know their way all around their WHOLE country).
