Morty's face shifted into a smile as he listened to N talk about the city. He loved the place and he loved hearing people talk about it.

"N? Cool name..." He stated this out loud, though it was more of a note to himself. He met eyes with the man next to him, his smile growing a bit more. They hadn't even exchanged that many words yet, but there was something about this stranger Morty liked. "My name's Morty Matsuba. And you're totally right about me being the gym leader here. It's a shame you aren't a challenger."

It had been a while since Morty had met somebody that seemed to have so much interest in his hometown. It was a nice change. After a few beats of silence and a raised eyebrow, he continued speaking. "If you don't have a specific place in mind, I could show you around. If you'd like?" If you were going to get a walking tour of Ecruteak, you definitely wanted one from Morty. He may get carried away talking about the town's history, but he seemed to know anything and everything about it.

Ahhh! Hey! A couple things came up (aka 2nd degree burn on my back and shoulders ft. many blisters from being in the sun too long( :(( ) & making it to semi-state for softball ( :)) ) & my new job ( :)) )) so I haven't had the chance to get online yet and do everything I need to! I'm sorry for the delay, but consider this blog on a bit of a semi-hiatus until things settle down a bit! Thanks for your understanding!! I should be back by the end of the week!! headcanon: morty’s scarf is actually made out of a reaper cloth. he had no clue when he bought it; all he knew was that it had a load of spiritual energy and his dusclops seemed to love it. plus it was super comfortable.
