Sleuth was adjusting this mechanical arm when he looked up, seeing Slick climb in through the window.âUm,â He started. âOkay, first of all, how did you get up here? Weâre on the sixth floor of an apartment complex.â Quickly, Sleuth snapped the arm fully on and threw on his shirt. âSecond of all, what the fuckâre you doinâ here?â
âOhâŠ.â he paused, thinking about how highly possible it was, âmy bad, uh, sorry.â
  âNeed revenge?âÂ
âDonât worry about it.â He waves off the question. âTake it you do that a lot, though?â
He sighed, and looked at the poor man. Perhaps it was his compassion- ha- working now.
âNah, you canât take revenge if you already kill them before they hurt you, buddy.â he flashed out his teeth.
He snickers. âGuess not, huh? But letâs face it, Iâm a detective. Killinâ em before they hurt me makes me a criminal.â
âThatâs why itâs my part of the work to kill them back for you?â he said sincerely, but looked away afterwards.
That was really sweet, coming from a Slick. Sleuth was speechless for a second. âI- uh, y-yeah. You could do that. If. If you want.â
âI need information then, give it.â he looked at his fingers and sounded like it wasnât a big thing.
âWhere do I find them, appearanceâŠIdeal way to kill them?â
âWait, wait. Before we go on with this, why would you do this for me. Are ya expectinâ some sorta payment?â He gives a him a confused half-frown.
He rolled his eyes, âNo, I am not expecting shit. Take that as a nice friendly- pfsshshs itâs a funny word- Act of kindness from your mob boss sitting right here.âÂ
â⊠Thanks, Spades.â
âNo problem... dude.â
In other news, Spades Slick dressed as a flapper is one of my favorite things.

And Again
He laughed again, playfully taking the bottle back and taking a swig himself, feeling warm from the vodka. âFucking cheers.â
Droog himself was also a responsible drinker, but it was a wonder on what they did next. âEy Slick, whaddaya think we should do after we kill the bottle?â
âI hope you donât mind me staying the night, because unless Iâm going to leap of faith down to a warmhole I ainât gotta go back,â he shrugged, âI like your couch, I do.â
He picked up that bottle too, and threw his head back. He knew the other wouldnât mind his gesture anyway.
âUnless you have something in mind?â
âNot at all. Hell, you can either use my bed or I have a guest room. La mia casa Ăš la tua casa. As they say in Italy.â he replied, taking another swig. âBut itâs up to you. My couch is comfy, but not that comfy. So sleeping on it might not be a good idea. Just saying.â
âGuest room it is then. Yeah, donât mind, I already see this as house 2,â he sat up.
âWell, the bed in guest room better be great. I gotta need a great night tonight. You know. â
âItâs merely a smaller version of my own bed which feels like a fucking cloud. And I honestly donât mind you staying here more often.â he replied with a grin.
âThatâs good. I needed a long term hotel in this universe anyway,â he stood up from his chair and walked, but stopped in confusion, âWhere again?â
âHere. Iâll show you.â he replied getting up and leading the Don to the empty guest room with a full size bed worthy of a hotel, but ten times softer. âHere, want me to wash your clothes? I can loan you a tee and a pair of boxers to sleep in if you want.â
Slick was impressed to see the room. It seemed ten times more luxurious than he had imagine, and that was a great thing.Â
âNah, Iâll just take off the jacket and the shit I donât mind. You deal with these sheet later tomorrow,â he said with a smirk, and pull his jacket off efficiently.Â
âGood night, in that case? I still need to use the restroom though,âhe stumbled to the threshold, and scratched his head.
âSure. Need anything else before I leave you to your devices?â he asked softly, turning to leave. âOh, and the bathroom is the only white door in this hall by the way.â
âNah, this is good enough.â he travelled to the restroom by himself.
After settling down, he had made the room quite a room of his own. Feeling comfortable just to lie down on a soft bed.Â
He had drank, so hopefully it wasnât too difficult for him to fall asleep.
At least thatâs what he though.
Droog was still up, but he was playing a soft tune on his sax with the lights off, the light from the moon and the city bathing the huge room in pale silver, and different types of glittering color.
The tune being played was soft and sad, almost like a lullaby. The taller man hoped the Don was asleep and wouldnât come find him like this. Droogâs shirt hung undone and rumpled, like he tossed and turned, but couldnât fall asleep.
It was unlike his home where he could fall asleep anywhere. He heard the quiet tune travelling through the corridor.Â
He was thinking again what he had done today. How this Droog was to him. It was different than his own. Much more emotional than his own. He thought as he layed still, scared to break out of his room to have another conversation. It felt as if he had to hide himself from seeing the other man just to avoid reflecting his own Diamonds Droog on him.
It was no where near comfortable, and Slick shut his eyes.

A topic.
Do you like to set people on fire.Â
And I really canât walk out onto the street. I donât have a street in front of me. I live in a cabin. In a forest.
The city is a big olâ walk some ways from me. Iâm generally not accepted there because Iâm flame-y.
i did set a building on fire once it was pretty fun
 oh
well thats a 100% a good idea to live in a forest when youre a human torch, yeah! BURN IT DOWN
is it possible for you to burn out
Slick. Sliiiiick. Fuck you :D

ARE YOUÂ
MY DEUCE?????????
.connivingknife:
Slick was interrupted and dragged back to reality by the loud crashing noise of Deuce falling to the floor. He turned around just to heard the door slammed and the man on the floor.
 He almost laughed.
Quickly jumping off from the chair, he hurried over to Deuce. The thumbs up gave the situation a even more comic taste, and that made Slick laughed a little in his head. Anything Deuce tried to do after just made Slick feel worse, but it might have been the best to save faces.
âIndeed, you bleeding there Deuce- didnât you think of a better, uh, entrance. Anything but not that,â he pointed his index finger at Deuceâs body, and made sure it was exaggerated, âor did you miss that tune too much eh?â
Digging deep into his pocket he procured a raggedy-looking handkerchief, not Clubsâ idea, but Droogâs influence, heâd had more than enough scowls for never having such a simple thing, at least it had come in use now
âEr, bit âa both actuallyâŠwas gonna make a big entrance anâ like, get you weepinâ with fuckinâ nostalgia or some shit, sounds real gay now that I think about it, not that thatâs a bad thing!â he covered his bleeding nose and rose to his feet hoping theyâd change the topic of conversation and get right back to what he wanted to do.
With a free hand he dragged his Slick back over to the piano and sat him down rather forcibly, because they were gonna get this shit done whether he was bleeding or notâŠsure he might sound like he had a bad cold right now, but heâd sung under worse conditions. âGo for it! Iâll join in anâ try not tâ get blood all over thâ fuckinâ keyboard Slick.â he grinned, mouth half-obscured by his own hand, either way he was eager , weird thing to look forward to, but Slick made the difference, grumpy, lovable bastard.
Slick raised his eyebrows looking at Deuceâs handkerchief. âThatâs considerate of you.âÂ
âOh yeah, you and your dramatic unnecessary big presentations. I miss those of course. Itâd be great if you donât end up hurting yourself with that,â he was still looking at the shorter memberâs nose, and shaking his head as his tune deepened.Â
Slick was back to the piano after that and hesitated to start. But seeing as Deuce had the confident going, he wasnât afraid to start again the song he was playing. Rolled his eyes to thought about the countless time that conversation happened in the past. Then he hit the keys in a grand opening, gradually moving towards the intro of the song.
 what the fuck are y
sure i guess youre just a flamy son of a bitch
oh my god thank you for that and hopefully you are entertained enough to fuck off now yo?

secondly you came to follow me and expect me to not ask who you are
 thirdly spades slick
any more you want to point out?
Oh. Youâve got a point.
But seriously â asking what I am. Not who I am. Dick.
Slick, okay. Cool. Iâm Brand. Fire elemental. If that wasnât obvious.
Nope. Except that youâre a dick. And itâs amusing as fuck.

Sleuth looks down, smiling bitterly into his half-empty cup of coffee, giving of a halfhearted chuckle. âI know that feelinâ, Slick. All too well I guess.â He shrugs. âAt least you find people to bother.â
âItâs not that hard to find people to bother that wonât push you off the window,â he said quietly, looking at the other. It didnât seem like a good idea to say anything loud, for a moment.
âWhat, are you going through that lonely phase?â
âNah, itâs just that I have rather bad luck, heh. Just about everyone wants to kill me, I guess. Dunno. It ainât fun.â He continues looking down. âSorry, Iâm getting all sentimental.â
âNow what did you do that to deserve that huh?â
âNot even I got that treatment, tell me more,â he tilted his head out of habit, âuh, no problem man, at least to me.â
âPretty much, I just existed. Tried to be nice, said hey to Droog. Tried to be buddies with people, pretty much. Just outta nowhere without any rhyme or reason, âcept that Iâm a detective, people wanted to kill me. Happens all the time, I guess.â A shrug of the shoulders.
âSame here,â Slick shrugged. âBut in a mob way, hah.â
He sounded quieter and more rational somehow, compare to his usual representation.
âIt wouldnât be a bothered once youâre used to it. It will become part of your life and hopefully you will fight them the fuck back. If you got the competence that is, do you?â Slick threw his head back and laughed a little, killing the seriously mood forming.
âItâs different if youâre a mobster.â Sleuth states. âPeople fear you.â He gives an awkward smile and shrug. âI do fight em.â He looks at his hands. âNever was a good plan.â
âIâm glad you say that, at least the public think that way, heh,â he shook his head as he spoke, âwe become the target of many, just so you know. Not all people are scared.â
âWell, show them what you got, cripple them if you need to. Thatâs the fun part.â
âThey cripple meâ
âOh....â he paused, thinking about how highly possible it was, âmy bad, uh, sorry.â
  âNeed revenge?âÂ
The entire gun is white, of course.
Do you really think I would have it any other way, hm?
who knows what your taste is like?Â
 i just guessedÂ
in that case i wouldnt wanna steal it from you god, the entire gun, no
Oh. Please. You of all people should know of my âtasteâ. It is the same as my alternatesâ.
I would not allow you to steal, regardless.
youre talking as if i am interested in knowing those worthless information
 i happen to not, however
well ok i do kinda see your pattern of being all shiny green and nasty but i hoped for better you know
thought one of your alt might be in a way REACHABLE
