any cat owner already knew this
#unfair study; that cat is orange
This is like a small child uncertainty taking a bite of their first piece of cake and then realizing that it’s the best damn thing they’ve ever eaten and shoving it all right into their face with grabby hands and just delighted. I love this kitty.
The best thing is the tail going when they look back at the stack. It’s just like “well that was fun…. THERE’S MORE”

How is this tweet SO specific?????????
i have analyzed this tweet to determine how it's so specific. each one of these acts like it's its own seperate thing, but they're actually all connected. i'm going to go through them one by one (not in order, sorry, but you'll see why) to show how. here's the breakdown:
former gifted children - this one is the big tell, which you can extrapolate pretty much the rest of the characteristics from. "gifted" is really just schools' ways of saying "this kid is clearly neurodivergent, but we don't know how to handle it so we'll just lump them all in a class together." pretty much all "gifted" kids had undiagnosed adhd and/or autism (in my case, it was both.)
depression - burnout is something that happens to a LOT of neurodivergent people, particularly around their mid-late teens as they begin to struggle with more and more responsibility, and this often leads to depression.
sleeping until noon - a pretty standard symptom of both depression and adhd; depression causes a lack of energy, while adhd often causes a delayed sleep cycle where people naturally fall asleep around 2 to 4 AM and wake up around 10 to noon.
drinking iced coffee - caffeine is a common form of self-medication for those with adhd, and iced coffee in particular is easy to obtain and often preferable for those that don't like the taste or feel of regular coffee. plus, if you're tired all the time from depression, it might help give you the energy to complete tasks you need to do.
introverted - social situations are incredibly draining for many neurodivergent people, so we have to take a lot of time to recharge.
leftist - right-wingers and centrists tend to be really ableist (eg. antivaxxers) so left-wing is the only place neurodivergent people really feel safe politically.
bisexual - i probably don't need to say that leftists tend to be more often/more openly lgbt+, and there are a LOT of people out there who identify as bi. it's an incredibly common sexuality just in general, and it's also often a stepping stone to other identities. thinking "hey, maybe i'm bi?" is the first step for a lot of people (eg. me) in realizing they're not cishet.
tl;dr if you relate to a lot of the things in the tweet you probably have adhd
theater truly transcends boundaries by bringing together the worst kind of introverts (english majors) and the worst kind of extroverts (drama kids)
File under reviews that shock the Hell out of me.
This is amazing!
This is the motherfucking dream.

I don’t know what it is about this comic, but it has stood out to me since the moment I read it. It’s so simple. but at the same time it’s just very… I don’t even know the right word. It just makes me feel kind of quiet and makes me think.

Disclaimer: my hatred of geologists is purely theatrical, but if I did have to kill one for some reason, it would be very easy.
I’d brandish my obsidian knife at them and they’d be compelled to approach. “That’s very cool,” they’d say, confident in their superior strength and endurance from all the rocks they carry around at all times. They’d shower me with very interesting facts about obsidian and hover just out of range of the cutting edge, waiting for me to exhaust myself. “But as it is volcanic glass, it’s very fragile, you see, and isn’t well-suited for use as a weap—” and then I’d hit them with the wooden baseball bat in my other hand, which they would not have noticed because geologists can only see rocks and minerals.
Showed my Geologist dad a picture of the obsidian knife you had and he nearly said this exact thing word for word. I can't believe my own father would fall prey to this. Clearly you know thine enemy
I work too closely with geologists not to have a contingency plan for eliminating them.
You have no contingency for geologists who know how to fight
All geologists know how to fight. They’re all buff and incredibly sexy from hiking and picking up big heavy rocks. That’s why my strategy to defeat them lies in trickery and deception and using their own fatal flaws against them. The obsidian knife is merely a lure to get them close to me... “check out cool rock” range is out of knife-range but within baseball bat range.
I haven’t published all my strategies, either. None of them involve actual combat on equal footing.
