Commissions Open!
So, I got laid off about three weeks ago, and I haven’t found steady work yet. I made rent this month, but it’s going to be a very tight month even with commissions, so I’d like to open up a post with some pieces and some prices, which I forgot to do on my Facebook post:
Embroidery:
Please note that Blake’s symbol hasn’t been completely cut out in this photo, and looks much nicer now! Embroidery is currently priced at $10-$15 per piece, depending on the complexity (The RWBY set is 4 for $30, or $45 for the four shown, plus Beacon Academy and the White Fang emblems). If your piece requires me to buy a pattern, half the cost of the pattern will be added to your commission (I can get most of them for $3-$5 on Urban Threads). Currently, I cannot offer custom embroidery, but Urban Threads has something for just about everything, and most times, I can find a pattern that suits your needs!
Sewing:
Serging: Serging is a technique used to finish raw edges of fabric. It’s especially useful for fabrics that fray a lot, such as silky/silks, linings, etc. Serging is being offered at 5 cents an inch, with a preference going to projects in the KC area. Thread will be matched to the best of my abilities. Furoshiki/Japanese wrapping cloths start at $8 for a 20x20 inch cloth, to $12 for a 36x36 inch cloth. These are great for bento boxes and shopping, and make a cute way to carry your things around. Your choice of fabric.
Quilts: Limited to three commissions. Quilts start at $150 for a queen-size quilt, with your choice of pattern (not just the checkerboard that I have here!). Please expect a minimum of six to eight weeks turnaround time for these, as they take some time to piece together, tie, and finish. The starting price assumes muslin backing (bleached or unbleached), and cotton or polyester batting. Please message me for rates for alterations to this!
Jewelry:
Jewelry galore! Jewelry starts at:
$8 for a wrapped stone (bottom photo)
$12 for a plain Golden Snitch necklace
$20 for a beaded necklace in your choice of colors (please ask for references)
$12 for bottle charms
$10 for earrings (made with hypoallergenic wire upon request)
$15 for Spiritual Stone necklaces or bracelets
Custom commissions start at $15. Please ask for rates for individual projects.
If there’s something special you’d like made, please let me know! My email address is conspiracy[dot]of[dot]crows[at]gmail[dot]com, and I can be reached here by inbox or by email. Thank you in advance for looking over my products, and I hope I can create something amazing for you!

I honestly expected better of a fandom like RWBY. “Jaune went off his meds” is a shitty punchline that makes those of us who need them into yet another joke, and I for one am getting kind of sick of it.
“I used to watch the sun set with somebody else. Or when I’m by the sea… When I look at the water, and hear the waves lapping against the shore… it’s almost like I can hear another voice.”
Art by Cyril Rolando
I feel like this really expresses each instrument.
Hey no joke
this guy has some of the best tutorials on various aspects of art (including color!)
Check him out, seriously.
This is my favorite scene in the entire series.
RWBY - DrUncle Qrow
@khaleesi-dany
So, basically, I’ve had this theory since Volume 2, that Qrow and Yang’s mom’s (who we now know is Raven) symbols are mirror reflections of each other, forming a pair of winged eyes. This even led me to theorize that they’re twins.
I came up with this theory due to the difference between the symbol we saw behind Qrow in Yang’s flashback and the symbol that Yang drew on the chalkboard.
I figured, the symbol Yang drew likely isn’t Qrow’s because her story focuses on her trying to find her real mother. That’s what her story is all about. So, wouldn’t the symbol she drew belong to her mother? There was also the fact that it faces the opposite direction of the symbol behind Qrow.
Now, Volume 3 Episode 3 is out, and we’ve seen that Qrow has his symbol on his flask.
If we rotate his flask, which way does the symbol face?
The same way as the one that was behind him in Yang’s flashback.
So, let’s say that these symbols are supposed to be eyes that are stylized to also be like wings. Qrow’s is the left eye.
The same eye that got a glint in it during his fight against Winter.
I really love this because it fits into another theory I’ve had for a bit, for a little backstory, in Norse mythology Odin had a pair of Ravens, Huginn and Muninn, Thought and Memory, who in some stories were Odins eyes and ears on the mortal realm. We know now that Qrow was out gathering intel to “Keep you all informed” aka Ozpins eyes and ears.
Now we get to Raven, to me there’s at least two ways she can fit in to this (probably more really), one is that she’s keeping an eye on another threat for them, like the White Fang for example. Or, like the legend goes, Raven is the eye Odin (Ozpin) sacrificed for knowledge.
Ohhhhhh I LOVE this. What if, given the proper circumstances, the two Branwens can see through each other’s eyes–perhaps a consequence of joined Auras in a RWBYverse version of a “twin connection”–and Qrow stays drunk to make sure both of their locations stay secure while gathering intel? Or because he and Raven had a falling-out?
What if, otherwise, he gets dreams of Raven like Yang does?
