“Hey, it wasn’t my fault that he fed into my straight side for a change,” Connie grinned. “Besides, I saw the error of my ways and realised yep, definitely gay.”

“Blue eyes,” Constance grinned, recognising him instantly and calling him by the nickname she once used. “Slow, yes. Quiet...” she moved her eyes over to the corner of the room, where a load of guys were howling at some joke one had told. “Not so much. Wouldn’t think it was two in the afternoon would you?”

“Ok, you’re the bartender, you’re going to know better than me. Whats the best way of getting away from creepy people? Do I sit here where they know people can see me or do I make a run for it?”

“Stay here,” Constance responded. “You run, they chase, you’re stuck. Stay here in public, and get either incredibly drunk, or wallow.”

“We…haven’t decided yet.” Dora smiled a bit. “We actually haven’t talked about it yet.”
“So you’re not calling it after me?” Connie smirked, taking another shot.

“Hi, yeah, can I just get a club soda, please?” Melody questioned with a smile at the girl behind the bar. She was planning to meet up with someone, but they were late. She was a little nervous they wouldn’t show up at all.

“Course,” Connie replied, filling the glass with ice and pouring the drink. She looked over at the girl a second time and smiled. “You look like you’re about to puke.” Never one to be subtle about things.

“Because that will go over well.” Dora rolled her eyes. “He’s disgusted by the whole thing Connie. Want’s nothing to do with me, bringing me up might be the last thing you ever do.”
“Your brother couldn’t hurt me,” she smirked, downing another two shots on the bounce. “Woo!” she yelled, grinning across at her friend. “Honestly seeeerious talk now, what are you naming it?”

“You’re sharing the fries.” She chuckled and shrugged. “He’s got to much hope. He’s been letting me stay with him since Edwin found out. Speaking of you haven’t spoken to my brother have you?”
“No, but the moment I do, I’ll be letting his fine ass know exactly what I think about him not telling me you were knocked up,” Connie grinned, downing the next shots.

Dora scoffed, sipping the coke before remembering she wasn’t supposed to drink dark soda. Plus the last caffeinated drink she had had cause the little alien to do somersaults. She motioned for a water as she shifted her focus back to Connie. “Right, because that’s happening.” She shook her head, hand back on the bump. “He’s trying to convenience me we can do this as a couple.”
“Well, I’ll give him something. He has hope,” Connie laughed, downing her next two shots as they arrived. “Hey them fries better be loaded with bacon and cheese, you got it?” she said, the vodka going to her mind pretty quickly. She wasn’t a lightweight usually, but she hadn’t had a drink in months because of work.

“Oh you little bitch.” Dorotha said through a laugh. She hadn’t been this relaxed in months. It was good to be back out with Connie, even if she had to be the sober one. “I said I felt like one, not looked like one.”
“Hey, we never became friends because I was nice,” she grinned, motioning for two more shots and some fries on the side. “I don’t know how you are going through with this,” she admitted, shrugging. “At least now you can play happy families with Mason fawning over you.”

Dora laughed at her as she downed the shots, clapping for encouragement. “Well done Connie.” She mused before shaking her head. “No, thank Merlin. I feel like a whale though.”
Connie was quiet for a moment then looked at Dora. “Is this the part where I’m supposed to say no you dont or something? Cause babe, ya do.”

Dora smirked with an eye roll, pushing the two shots to her. “You have to take those both since I can’t.” She laughed her hand on her bump. “If I can’t get drunk with you, you have to get wasted for me.”
“Oh, it will be my pleasure!” she announced, taking both the shots and knocking them back in quick succession. She never even winced as she slammed the glasses down on the table. “Any premature contractions yet?.”

“That’s because this is a bar,” Constance replied, rolling her eyes.
“Okay, this shit right here, this is why we’re friends.” Connie grinned, staring down at the vodka shots waiting for her when the shift was over, handing over a class of cola.

Finishing her twelve hour shift, late as usual, the one thing Connie was looking forward to was a bite to eat. With the Shadow Den being so close to the Bearclaw, she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pop in on Micky while filling her stomach. “Please tell me you’re still cooking?” she questioned, her hands together in a begging motion.

“Either you buy something, or leave,” Connie muttered as the person approached the bar. She’d had a long shift, and was five minutes from finishing off. She did not need someone lingering.
