I don't quite excel in playing COD, but I think I didn't do so badly today
Pairing: Wenclair x original fem character
The next time she saw Tyler Galpin, she was going to choke the life out of his pathetic self. Nothing would bring her more satisfaction than the sight of his blood draining from his face. She would cut off his head and keep it as her trophy.
No matter how much she enjoyed pain and suffering, her heart was now aching in an uncomfortable way because of the hurt he had caused to her soulmates, Enid and Lilith. Wednesday hated his guts for hurting them.
Wednesday shifted on the stiff chair beside Enid's bed in the infirmary. Her pale hand was gently clasped between Enid’s softer ones. Her aversion to physical touch was slowly changing because of her girls. It was torture, but the kind she relished. The thing she didn’t enjoy was the fact that Enid and Lilith were lying on the infirmary beds.
The Hyde had left multiple gashes along Enid’s face and torso. Combined with the fact that this was her first time shifting into her wolf form, it was safe to say that Enid was extremely tired. Lilith was a different story. Being an earth witch by nature, she had tried to channel her vines to capture the Hyde long enough for Enid to kill him or seriously harm him, but the Hyde was too powerful for the tiny witch. He had flung her hard enough to break several of her ribs on impact and to split her head open. Wednesday felt as if her dead heart were being ripped into pieces when she saw her Lilith lying lifeless on the ground.
Now their small witch looked even tinier on the bed, with bandages wrapped around her torso and head. Enid was still crying silently after seeing Lilith’s condition and was now tightly holding Wednesday's hand with a heart-wrenching desperation in her trembling grip.
“Please wake up, mi vida,” Wednesday mumbled as she leaned forward, resting her head on the edge of Lilith’s bed. She would beg her whole life if she had to, if it meant Lilith waking up. She could not even think of living her life without both of her loves beside her. It was her fault that they were in such conditions. If only she had told them not to follow her.
“Wednesday, I can see you blaming yourself. Please don’t do this to yourself. You know she would have rushed to save you even if you had told her not to,” Enid whispered, also leaning forward to hold one of Lilith’s hands.
“I know, cara mia. But I can’t see you two getting hurt. If only I had killed Tyler when I had the chance, then you wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Now look at our cariño—she’s hurt.” Wednesday sighed, feeling the unfamiliar sting of tears pricking her eyes.
“She’s a fighter, our witch. So don’t worry, she’ll be fine. She has to be fine,” Enid said, holding her hand even tighter, desperately trying to reassure Wednesday and herself.
As time ticked by, Enid eventually succumbed to her exhaustion and dozed off, her hand still tightly gripping Lilith’s. Wednesday was close to dozing off herself when she heard a small whimper. Her head shot up, immediately noticing the fluttering of Lilith’s eyelashes.
“Lilith? Bebé? Can you hear me?” Wednesday whispered as she knelt on the floor beside Lilith’s head.
“Wha—? Wednesday?? What happened?” Lilith mumbled in a dazed manner.
A very rare smile graced Wednesday’s face. She could again feel tears pricking her eyes. “Yes, it’s me, mi vida. Do you remember anything?” she whispered, gently stroking Lilith’s red hair, being mindful of her stitches.
“I—I remember you? I think… I remember you and I remember the Hyde. Oh my god! The Hyde! Enid—she turned into a wolf. Is she okay??” Lilith trailed off in a panic as she tried to sit up. Wednesday immediately held her shoulders, gently pressing her back down.
“Yes, she’s okay! Please don’t sit up suddenly—you’ve not yet recovered, mi vida. Look, she’s right here,” Wednesday said, gently guiding her head to show her Enid, who was restlessly sleeping.
“Are you okay, Willa? What happened?” Lilith mumbled as she stroked the scratches on Wednesday’s face.
Wednesday leaned into her touch, tightly holding her hand. “After you and Enid defeated Tyler, I killed Crackstone. Both Thornhill and Tyler were captured by the authorities before I could get to Tyler and kill him. I wanted to obliterate that imbecile for hurting you two,” Wednesday said darkly, already plotting numerous ways for the ultimate demise of Tyler Galpin.
Lilith snorted. “I can see your dark little mind plotting. But it’s all good since you’re alive, Enid’s alive, and I’m alive.”
“Barely,” Wednesday muttered under her breath looking away as Lilith shot her a look.
Both of them turned their heads when Enid woke up with a jolt. “Wednesday, is Lilith okay?” Enid asked frantically.
“Cara mia, she woke up just now.” Wednesday stroked her hand to calm her soulmate’s frayed nerves.
Enid’s gaze zeroed in on Lilith’s form, who shot her an adorable grin. “Hi!” her eyes sparkled as she looked at Enid.
“Don’t ‘hi’ me! You scared the shit out of me!” Enid shrieked, jumping out of her bed and making her way toward her. Wednesday’s eye twitched—it seemed like both of her soulmates wanted to make sudden movements to worsen their injuries.
“I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to help you,” Lilith said, pouting and melting both of her soulmates’ hearts—even Wednesday’s dead one.
“I know, baby. But when he threw you like a ball, I almost died,” Enid said, tucking Lilith’s red strands behind her ear.
“I promise you, my loves, when I find that piece of shit, I’ll tear him to pieces and feed him to my mother’s carnivorous plant,” Wednesday seethed, picturing herself killing him.
“As much as I love your threats when they’re not directed at us, I wanted to say I’m still very exhausted. So, Lili—scoot,” Enid said, making Lilith giggle.
“You know my threats toward you two only come from a place of love,” Wednesday smirked as she watched Enid gently hold Lilith to lift her up. Enid settled behind her, putting Lilith’s back to her chest, and the tiny witch immediately snuggled into her.
“Well, I must admit they are quite hot,” Enid smirked back.
Lilith looked at them wide-eyed. She wondered if Enid was a masochist. Well, she knew for sure that Wednesday was a sadist. Oh well—whatever made her soulmates happy, she thought, shrugging her shoulders and snuggling deeper into Enid, inhaling her scent, which now had a slight earthy change.
Enid kissed her head before holding her other arm out for Wednesday, glaring when Wednesday shook her head. Lilith cackled as Wednesday reluctantly entered their cocoon, making Wednesday glare at her. Enid smiled at her loves’ wordless banter.
Wednesday wrapped her arm around Lilith’s waist, pulling her close to her, while Enid pulled them both closer. Lilith happily snuggled into both of their embraces.
“Enid, did your arms get longer? And you seem taller and stronger too,” Wednesday mused as Enid played with her hair.
Lilith cutely muttered, “Werewolf strength,” as she began dozing off again.
“Is it? I feel stronger too, actually.” Enid mused.
Wednesday hummed thoughtfully. “We’ll have to experiment after you get better.”
“Hey! No breaking our soulmate,” Lilith protested sleepily.
Wednesday grinned at her sleepy soulmate. “Of course, mi vida. I wouldn’t dream of it,” she said, stroking her red hair. Lilith almost purred like a kitten as she dozed off in an instant.
“You’re like a kitten whisperer,” Enid laughed softly, watching her smaller soulmate sleeping soundly in her arms. Wednesday smirked at her words. The day’s exhaustion finally hit her at full force now that both of her soulmates were safe.
“I’m so glad that both of you are okay, cara mia,” she mumbled as she began to finally fall asleep in their warm cocoon.
“Sleep, Willa. We’ll be right here when you wake up,” Enid whispered softly. It was the last thing Wednesday heard before falling asleep.
