question for polyminds

hi! i have a quick question -- i apologize if my phrasing is off in any way i've been awake for a long time.

how do polymind experiences really differ from multiplicity/plurality-related experiences? i've been reading up on polymindence, and from my perspective as a CDD system they seem. pretty much identical to many of my experiences and those of other multiples/plurals i know.

what was the idea behind the split (lol) in terminology?

i& love how my wife and I can tell who's fronting in each other's systems before the other. we all know each other so well that we can tell nearly instantly, and it just feels nice to be known like that :-)
