Ā Droog remained expressionless. Well, slight shift of that hard shell face.Ā
Ā āI wouldnāt expect you to dress specially for this occasion.ā Nodding, indicating slight approval to the other. Not bad, not bad.
Ā Droog deliberately had his eyes focused on Crowbar when he heard the name. Not that he preferred having one, although he did not object to it.Ā
Ā āLost on what to do lately. Honestly I did perform in a few bars lately with the sax and⦠it was alright,ā he looked away again and took a sip of his drink, ānowadays I hardly find anything time consuming.āĀ
Ā Putting the glass down, he sighed.
Getting Droogās slight approval was still very amusing to Crowbar. He knew Droog was very specific with his sort of suits and ā ⦠Well. He thinks he knows. Heās not sure really.
And since Droog didnāt really say anything about the nickname (besides stare at him), Crowbarās shoulders relaxed a bit and he managed to keep a small smile.
"Really? Playing said instrument doesnāt help you at all?" He took a sip of his own drink; something to keep him busy. He wasnāt nervous or anything ā he just didnāt want to seem fidgety in front of the carapacian. He could sense a few eyes were on him, now, and a quick glance to the right confirmed that suspicion. Two prospitians seemed to be staring at him. Great.
With a gruff sigh, he looked back at Droog and gave a small shrug.
"Well. If youāre musically inclined⦠Did I use that word right? I donāt know ā if you have some sort of musical talent, I mean. You could try learning something else. Like a piano for instance. Or a violin."
A pause.
"I mean, I know how to play a piano. And even if you donāt want to learn something else, maybe we could play something out of sheer boredom sometime. I bet weād sound nice, donāt you think?ā
Ā Droog didnāt like that nickname, obvoiusly, but he didnāt say too much to stop the felt. Just couldnāt be bothered, he thought. It was true the man was dressed sharp- more than he was usually, with Droogās least favourite colour.
Ā Ā āYes, Iāve gotten to a point I am not longer satisfied by sax,ā he said deadpan, there was no point of him joking about anything, but he liked the way he talked. He could sense people watching, which was not a good sign. Of course it wasnāt difficult for Droog to stir up something violent, as he had been wanting to, but it was not the right location with the right man.Ā
Ā Ā āPiano is a bother, but it is a good suggestion. Iām not good enough to be called talented, trust me,ā he took a sip of his own drink.
Ā A pause.
Ā Ā āAn invitation like that from you sometimes surprises me, actually, it always does. I wouldn't turn it down of course. Iād die to spend more time with you.ā
Ā He said, again, deadpan.
