Bio
Because you can't view my bio on a computer (sorry for the repetition if you're on a phone), I just wanted to cover my goals for this blog again. Continuingsexed was created as a comprehensive resource for sex education focused on inclusion, communication, and pleasure. It features some reblogs, but the majority of posts here are a complication of sex education resources I have gathered from around the internet. Feel free to submit any suggestions or questions :)
CannaSexualŽ is a word Ashley created to describe anyone who mindfully, deliberately combines sex and cannabis. It has grown to become a lifestyle brand, used to represent pleasure-focused events and educational workshops, and is now federally trademarked! Cannabis can be used to enhance sensation, ease discomfort, and promote intimacy during solo or partnered play. Ashley also stresses that a psychoactive high does not necessarily need to accompany cannabis use. One can easily use topical cannabinoid-infused creams, sprays, balms, or any CBD-only product without psychoactive effects. Ashley has also become known as "theCannaSexual" as a result of her passion and her expert knowledge about sex and cannabis. In this article, Ashley Manta explores begining to use cannabis in the bedroom. Interesting concept. Thoughts?
Book Recommendation 2:
âWild Feminine: Finding Power, Spirit, & Joy in the Female Body offers a unique, holistic approach to reclaiming the power, spirit, and joy of the female body and to understanding its connection to creative energy flow. By restoring physical and energetic balance in the pelvic bowl, women can learn to care for themselves in a nourishing and respectful manner, heal spiritual fractures, and renew their relationship with the sacred feminine.â

More Than No is an organization that offers education in regards to sexual assault and Caberet ConSensual is âan effort comprised of actors, dancers, comedians, producers, writers, and other artists who strive to champion consent and discuss rape-culture through the subversive, yet expressive medium of the performing arts.â
I wanted to include a resource on sex after trauma.
Powerful ad for feelmore510.com in Oakland, CA.
"We're a culture that really doesn't value leisure and pleasure."
Dr. Chris Donaghue
"DisabilityAfterDark is a brand aimed at talking about sexuality and disability.  There is so much fear, discomfort misinformation around sex and disability out there today. DisabilityAfterDark and Andrew Gurza want to shine a big bright light on how sexuality and disability feels for real - uncensored.  Through podcasts, blogs and presentations DisabilityAfterDark offers you a unique glimpse into sex and disability that shines a light on the intersectionality of sex and disability, the fun found in sex and disability, and the vulnerability of sex and disability that we very rarely talk about."
Sexuality educator, sex & relationship writer, media personality, and toy expert Sunny Megatron takes viewers on a journey through underground adult play. Studies show that across the board, adults are more into âkinkâ than they typically let on. For more information on this and many other Sexual education topics: Sunnymegatron.com
Book Recommendation:
âIn Becoming Cliterate (HarperOne, May 2017), psychology professor and human sexuality expert Dr. Laurie Mintz exposes the broader cultural problem thatâs perpetuating this gap, and what we can do about it. By dispelling the lies, misunderstandings, and myths that have been holding us back, Becoming Cliterate tackles both personal and political problems and replaces them with updated outlooks and practical skills needed to change our collective perspective on sex.â

Welcome to Professor Sex
Angel Kalafatis provides medically accurate, pleasure based, inclusive sex education for adults through her Professor Sex youtube channel. Not only is sexual education lacking in our homes and schools (during my 6 week "sex ed" lesson in science in 8th grade, my class was told that getting an erection is a choice by our male teacher. In 10th grade health, my teacher wouldn't say any word at all for menstral cycle and decided to skip that section of the book so no boys in the class would be uncomfortable), but there is also an odd misconception that sex education is for middle school- high school aged children, when in reality we should be learning at every stage of our lives- even in adulthood! Supporting website: Professorsex.com
https://www.bvibe.com/anal-play-101/?amp B-vibe has compiled a great list of resources for beginning anal sex focusing on different sexes, communication, hygiene, and more. Almost no sex ed in this country focuses on anal sex, despite how common it is. Remember, consent and communication are key!

CURVY GIRL READING
These are brilliant. The first version isnât as accurate as the 2.0, but it is easier to understand, so itâs a good start if these concepts are new to you.Â
Clinical psychologist, certified sex therapist, speaker, and author, Dr. David Ley discusses his theory against the idea of sex addiction. Really interesting idea, thoughts?
