The Ultron issue is basically a story of "don't fix something that ain't broke". So sad to see you defend iron man so hard but sweetie the whole damn responsibility IS on HIM, the fact is shinning like sun in the sky only blind ppl can't see, so he really isn't in any position to propose superhero being regulated except him. it's hypocrisy.

i wonder what ‘breaking something that is already broke’ falls under in your dictionary of patronisation. i don’t deny that tony screwed up, i don’t deny that ultron was a mistake and a lot of the responsibility for that falls on tony’s head. but if you’re going to stand there and point blank ignore the fact that if it were not for wanda maximoff manipulating his mind with her magic, ultron wouldn’t exist, you can kindly fuck right outta here.

i’ve had people try and claim that it’s ‘hate’ against wanda to state what is canon and what is not bc apparently it’s ONLY character hate if you point out the mistakes of any mcu character that isn’t tony.

this is what’s canon. tony stark had a form of mental illness, he had ptsd. he was still recovering from that. wanda single-handedly used one of the worst experiences of his life to trigger a volatile reaction from him. it was that trigger, and the fear and panic and ptsd she dredged back up that led to him building ultron. in the same way that you saw bruce hulking out or thor leaving to sort out his headspace with selvig’s help or natasha and steve’s reactions to their visions, tony experienced his, too. this is what’s canon. you can sit there all you want sticking your fingers in your ears yelling that you can’t hear or see or suddenly read but it’s literally what happens in the first five minutes of the movie.

it’s hypocrisy to pretend that only tony stark ever has to face accountability for his mistakes. it’s hypocrisy to act as if only tony stark’s mistakes should ever matter.

and on the matter of regulation ––– MY DUDE, HE IS, IN THE EYES OF THE PEOPLE WHO PUT HIM IN CHARGE the only person who could do it. in 616 he was singled out to lead the movement, i’m pretty sure in mcu he was also singled out. by the sokovia accords.

but also, tony’s story arc has been about accountability since iron man (2008).
