the thunderbolts have a gala or some sort of public event, but ava doesn’t want to go because she doesn’t want to be the only one in her suit and she is also not comfortable wearing “regular clothes” in public while john doesn’t want to go because he is self conscious in public events and he knows how he is perceived by the people so the both of them stay at the tower and bound together
