Author's note: hey fellas, guess who's back again. I do apologize for the long wait, so much shit happened when I was abroad but now, I'm back (I literally tried offing myself but I'm slowly doing better). I was looking through my drafts and realized I still had few that needed to be completed. They're currently in the process of being written, so I'll probably be updating here and there. Lowkey this might be ass because it's been a while since I last posted LMAO. Thank you all for still sticking around and supporting me.
summary: a surprise reunion with Anakin brings back a bitter and solemn memory.
“I thought you said there was only 20 of them!” Ashoka shouted over the distant explosions and blaster fire, while deflecting the shots with her lightsabers.
“Oops, I miscalculated!” Anakin who was ahead of his padawan, responds smugly, also deflecting blaster shots with his lightsaber as he slowly walks forwards towards the battle driods, firing at him and his troops.
“General! We have to fall back! There’s too many of them! We can’t hold them off any longer.” Rex exclaims as he catches up to the sandy hair Jedi Knight, while firing at the battle droids.
“No! We’re almost there! Keep pushing!” Anakin responds, taking off and diving forward to the next set of barricades, hoping to push closer to the droids.
Ashoka and Rex run over to the other set of the barricades across from where Anakin was, their backs pressed against the cold duracrete, avoiding the blaster shots.
As Anakin peaked over the barricade, he got a glimpse of a cloaked figure, standing menacingly in the doorway, behind where the droids had been appearing from.
Your lightsaber emits its blue hue, the battle droids that stood in front of you turned around at the sound of the saber's ignition, now aiming their blasters at you.
“Blast he-“ before the battle droid could finish, you had sliced its arms and head off in one motion. The other droids watched in horror and backed away, however, you were more agile than those clankers. One by one, you took down the remaining droids that stood between you and Anakin's troops.
The two Jedi and Captain watch you in awe before joining back into the fight, firing at any remaining battle droids. Anakin was stunned, he wasn’t made aware of another Jedi being in this mission. Anakin couldn’t make out your face, since it was hidden by the hood of your blue cloak. However when you turned around, he saw a familiar triangle insignia in gold on your cloak, flashing at him.
Anakin choked out your name, it was you. Ashoka and Rex raised their brows, looking at each other before back to the both of you.
“Not the time for a reunion, we have to stop Grevious!" You shout before turning back around the direction you had appeared from. Without another thought, Anakin had darted after you, along with Ashoka and Rex trailing behind him.
"What a surprise to see you here. A heads up would have been nice!" Anakin shouted, catching up to you.
"Well, surprise!! Now come on! Before-." You responded but your words died down as you and Anakin had stopped in your tracks, reaching a dead end. You could have sworn this was where Grevious was located. You look down at the ground, seeing the locator you had just put on him on the ground beeping and flashing.
"Damn it." You whisper to yourself, picking up the locator. "He can't be far from here." You said, before running through the corridor to your right, focused on your mission to stop the General.
"What if he already left!?" Anakin responds, trailing behind once again.
"He couldn't have gone far! I was able to stop him until I heard you make your entrance!" You point out at the Jedi Knight, slightly frustrated that they have given their position away.
You had just snuck onto the ship unsuspectingly; you were about to confront Grevious until Anakin and his troops decided to announce their presence on the ship with the help of explosives. They were supposed to cross paths with you at some point, however it was supposed to be discrete.
"Oh well...You gotta go out with a bang ya know?!" Anakin chuckled nervously. You couldn't help but roll your eyes and let out a snicker at his response. His humor hadn't really change the last time you talked to him. But from a maturity and physical standpoint, there was a drastic difference from the Anakin you knew grew up with and the Anakin you were with right now.
After running down a long corridor that had large windows overlooking the vast space, you stopped in your tracks after seeing a ship take off.
"Fuck." You whisper under your breath, catching a glimpse of that clanker on his ship, before it jumped into light speed. "Just when I almost had him."
Anakin looked over to you, afraid that you were upset at him, but decided to give rid of that thought. "We still have the rest of his fleet here. Let's go find the others and finish the rest of."
You nodded in response, the both of you locating his padawan and troops to finish the mission.
-
"Commander Y/N, a pleasure to see you, after all these years." Master Yoda said, bowing his head down at you.
"It has been far too long Master Jedi." You respond, bowing at the Grand Master Jedi. The Jedi council were relieved to see their former Jedi once again.
"You seem on edge my padawan. What seems to be the matter?" Obi-Wan looks over to his former padawan, noticing him gnawing the bottom of his lips.
"It's nothing master, just deep in thought." Anakin responded, continuing to avoid his Master's gaze, while keeping his focus forward.
"Deep in thought? Hmm, rarely do you ever think." Obi-Wan poked at him.
"Hey...I can think for myself, sometimes." Anakin crossed his arms defensively, turning to look at his Master now.
"I assume perhaps a return of a former colleague has stir something in you hmm?" Obi-Wan brought up, stroking his beard. Knowing the cause of his padawan's uneasiness was because you were here. After getting a lead to General Grevious's location, Chancellor Palpatine had personally reached out to you to help aid the Jedi, knowing that they need your expertise to crack down on the droid.
You had matured the past few years, no longer did you have that playful attitude to you anymore. You had become more serious, straightforward with everything and everyone, you knew what you wanted and how you would get it.
Anakin and Obi-Wan continued to observe you from afar. You were immersed in a conversation with the Rex and Cody. The Captain and the Commander, enthralled by the way you spoke. The way you carried yourself, the confidence you had displayed.
Something inside Anakin was telling him to say something to you. He felt like he had to at least acknowledge you after what happened during the mission, but what would he even say to you after all these years?
Anakin's eyes couldn't help but wander down to your left arm. Your black gloves were out of sight, displaying the gold and sliver durasteel that had made up your arm. His mind couldn't help but remind him of the painful memory on how you achieved your metal arm.
-
"Let go!" You exclaimed, holding the end of the rope as you dangled over a 200 foot drop.
"NO! I'm not leaving without you!" Anakin shouted, continuing to pull the rope up.
"Anakin, they're coming!" You looked over your shoulder, as numerous of Dugs began to file underneath you, waiting for you to drop to your death.
You felt the rope tug you up further, when you looked back down again, you noticed the leader of the pack winding up its shield. Your eyes widen, knowing what was to come of you.
"Anakin!" You shouted, but he was too concentrated in pulling you up to safety. "ANAKIN!" Finally shaking him out of his thoughts, Anakin stopped tugging on the rope and was met with your fear-filled eyes. He looked past you, seeing how there more and more creatures filing underneath you, realizing what was about to happen.
Suddenly, the had rope felt lighter, the tension created was gone. Your eyes widen as you let out a blood curdling scream as pain shot up throughout the left side of your body. Anakin falls back on his rear. After quickly processing what had happened, he runs over to the edge cliff with his hand out, hoping the force would float you up to him. But your connection wasn't there, he was filled with too much fear. He could no longer feel your signature as it descended further and further away from him.
You look at Anakin one last time, closing your eyes, waiting for your body to hit the ground. Anakin shouted for you, he couldn't see your body as numerous of Dugs begun surrounding it. He had let out a booming cry in agony. How could he let this happen? Why wasn't he strong enough to save you? He couldn't help but blame himself.
-
Obi-Wan cleared his throat out loud, sensing that his padawan's distress. Anakin shook himself out of his thoughts, before looking at his master before looking back at your metallic arm that was adored with gold and silver plating.
It taken the Jedi five months to find you, and when they did, you were in a comatose state, your left arm was amputated and wrapped in gauze. Upon your return to the temple, you were constantly soaked in the bacta tank, to help you heal faster.
Guilt began to eat the Jedi Council for sending you on that assignment. However, the guilt began to eat Anakin more as he could have done more to prevent your injury. Shortly after regaining your consciousness, the council had made the decision to have you dismissed. You were devastated, disappointed, and angry at the council’s decision, especially when you didn't have a say in it, but you knew why they had done it. In fact, after soaking in your misery and grieving at loss of your arm and no longer being a Jedi for months, you were quite glad the Jedi had dismissed you.
The Jedi had some beliefs that you couldn't align yourself with. They were against attachments, and this was your opportunity to have those feelings without the Jedi code weighing on your conscience. The older you got, the thought of having a significant other and having a family begun to weigh on your mind.
However, you knew you couldn't achieve that with a certain Jedi with the attachment you had for him. The very Jedi who is determined to bring balance to the force. Ever since he had joined the Jedi, you grew fond of him. However, you always felt you both were different in your own ways. The way you both thought and acted differently around each other, you could have sworn you wouldn't get along, but that didn’t stop you guys from becoming good friends.
You had always wondered if he had felt something for you selfishly. You couldn’t read his mind, and even if you did, that would be wrong of you.
Bail Organa had reached out to you shortly after your dismissal from the council, wanting you to become his commanding officer for Alderaan’s army. He still saw that fire into your eyes, you wanted to contrite to fight and protect, and that you still had that tenacity within you. When the Clone Wars had broke out, you were the perfect person form the bridge of commanding the clones, the Jedi, and the Republic.

"Hey." Anakin said softly, standing next to you. You were in the midst of taking a sip of your wine when he appeared.
“Hey there Skywalker.” You respond, glancing over at him before looking back at the beautiful skyline of Coruscant.
Anakin winced at the name, never did you call him that unless you were being serious. He immediately got the impression you didn’t want to talk to him for long.
“How have you been?” He cleared his throat, hoping that doing small talk would burst into a conversation with you, before you could dismiss him.
“Everything has been wonderful I’d say…Its been a bit hectic because, well, you know, the war and all…” You respond, taking another sip of your wine, making sure to savor the taste. “And what about you Chosen one?” You poked at him.
“Just the same old, same old. Obi-Wan still nagging at every little thing I do, even as a Jedi Knight.” Anakin jokes, scratching the back of his neck, hoping that you would find it amusing, to which you did with a confirming chuckle.
“I see you have a padawan now.” You piqued, swirling your glass as turned your head around, looking across the room where Ashoka was in deep conversation with Masters Mundi and Plo Koon.
“Oh snips? She’s been a wonderful apprentice. She takes after me you know." Anakin's follow yours, looking proudly at his apprientence from afar, like a proud father. Ashoka takes notice and waves back at Anakin.
“Oh I know alright, especially with the explosions on the ship earlier.” You snort at him, poking fun at him at the several explosions that had occurred on the mission. Which gave away their position, allowing Grievous to flee and you to find them.
Anakin chuckles at your words, causing you to smile. It has been far too long since you both had a moment like this, even with the small bit of tension, you both couldn't help but to feel at ease now.
“Does this mean you’re a master now?” You asked, your gaze meeting his. Anakin had forgotten to breathe in the moment, remembering where you were both are, Anakin shook his head at your question.
“N-no…Um, they didn’t grant me the rank of master.” He mustered out, sounding disappointed.
You choked on your wine mid-sip, causing you to choke and Anakin to panic. He makes his way closer to you, patting your back and rubbing it, hoping it’ll ease you until you had stopped your coughing fit.
“What do you mean they didn’t grant you the rank of master?!?” Accidentally slamming your glass of wine a bit too harshly on the table infront of you. The sound of the glass and the tone of your voice caused several guests around you to look at the both of you with concern. Anakin puts a finger up to his lips, trying to hush you. “What do you mean they didn’t grant you the rank of master?!” You repeat, but in a more hush tone, furrowing your eyebrows.
“Let’s chat about this in more private matter shall we?.” Anakin responds, a bit nervous. You both make your way into the elevator, finding yourselves in an unoccupied dimly lit living space. Anakin takes a seat on the couch, patting the spot next to him for you to sit down. You’re quick to sit next to him, leaving some space in-between.
“The Jedi Council said I wasn’t ready yet. At least to take the trails…until I have matured and I have become less reckless, they’ll reconsider their decision.” Anakin huffed, upset at the memory. You put a hand on his shoulder, rubbing it for comfort.
“Oh Anakin…” You began, your voice was soft now. “Sometimes the council makes very questionable decisions…and this, is one of them.”
“No, no, they’re right. I have been become too reckless, angry at times for my own good.”
You were in slight shock at the revelation. Anakin was never an angry person. You know he could be reckless at times, especially when you were both young, but for him to be angry? It was perhaps the last emotion you would even associate him with.
“And what might be the cause of your anger Ani?” The nickname shook him out of his thoughts. The main source of his anger, came from those creatures who took your arm, who almost killed you, who took you away from him at one fateful day. That day had scarred the both you deeply, resulting a drastic change in the dynamic of your relationship.
“It was those damn creatures…The creatures who had harmed you, the ones who almost killed you. The ones who almost took you away from me.” Anakin gritted through his teeth, the anger seething within him as he recalled the painful memory. The great deal of pain they had put you through still angered him through his core. He never told anyone, but after you were discovered, Anakin had paid a personal visit to the Dugs. The need for vengeance consumed him, and in this act, Anakin had slaughtered the entirety of the group in one evening.
"Anakin...I understand your anger, but I'm still here." You scoot closer to him, your hand finding their way to his hand that was on his thigh, interlacing your organic hand with his. Anakin looked down at your intertwined fingers, the feeling he had suppressed for you all those years ago began flooding into his mind.
"Still, you could have died that day. If only I was strong enough to pull you up, you wouldn't be like this." Gesturing at your metal arm. Your gaze follows his gesture, you sigh to yourself, having to live with the burden of having to perform maintenance on your arm from time to time.
"If only I could have stopped Dooku in time." You said, looking at Anakin's gloved hand. The hand that Count Dooku had sliced off in the midst of the duel on Geonosis.
"This isn't about me, it's about you..." Anakin said softly, his finger pushing your chin up to make eye contact with him.
"it's exactly the same thing Anakin...If I had arrived sooner, I could have prevented it." You spoke softly, gazing into his eyes. His expression was unreadable as you scanned over his facial features.
You both were silent, maker, you both held your breaths, waiting for the next move. You began to feel the anxiety crawling through you. A dreaded thought had made its way to your head, reminding you that the was potentially your last mission with the Jedi before you were sent across the star system on your next mission for a long time.
"Anakin" You spoke up, looking away. Anakin was still looking at you, but when he noticed the change in your behavior, he was filled with concern.
"What is it?"
"It was nice to see you again, really." You give him small smile. Deep down, you had hoped this wouldn't be the last time you see him. Perhaps if you could convince Bail to have you work alongside the Jedi more often, hoping you would to get to see Anakin more often.
"It was nice to see you again as well...You become more beautiful." You suck in a breath before slowly releasing it.
"Really? You think I'm beautiful?"
"I've always thought that since the day I met you." Anakin was looking into your eyes now, you couldn't help but feel your heart skip a beat. "You were, and still are just a beautiful as I remember."
You were stunned. You weren't sure what to say. The feelings that you had for Anakin, the feelings that you had buried deep down began to resurface.
"I...I should go." You mustered out, standing up abruptly and making your way to the elevator. Anakin was slightly hurt at your action, but wasn't going to let you go just yet. He stood up as well, grabbing your wrist, making you turn around to face him again.
"Don't go. Please." Anakin whispered, his voice pleading for you to stay. Anakin rested his forehead on yours, his large hands now holding both of your arms that rested on your sides. You close your eyes, afraid that if you looked into his eyes you would just melt away.
"That's all I needed to hear Anakin.." You whisper to him, tilting your head to the side as you lean in closer to him. Anakin realizing what you were doing, cupped your cheek, closing the gap between the both of you.
His lips were soft. He was gentle with the kiss, but as you both continued on, he couldn't help but become more passionate, forcing his lips and body onto yours.
"Anakin.." You breathe out, gasping for air. You rest your forehead on his once again.
"Yes my Angel?" He responses, also catching his breath.
"You have no idea how long I wanted you." Causing him to chuckle.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to tell you."

summary: your husband, Lord Vader, is awfully cold towards you. Until one day, he begins to open up to you
"Let me into your heart..." You begged to your husband, whose backside faced you. His large frame faced the large window to your shared bedroom. "Can't you see my devotion to you? How much I-"
"Silence!" Vader barked, already growing annoyed at your words. You quickly shut yourself up, furrowing your eyebrows in frustration at him now. It had been 6 months since you had wed the Emperor's right hand man. From the start of the marriage, you had been nothing but a loyal wife who cared for him, despite him not showing his feelings for you in return.
As a former princess, your parents had stressed that you needed to learn how to be the ideal wife for your future husband ever since you were young. They had enrolled you into sewing classes and medical classes, believing that these traits would serve you well. Your mother had taught you to cook as well. She had always said that the fastest way to a man's heart was his stomach, and that meant that you had a cook a feast fit for king, and in this case, it was your husband, Lord Vader.
The efforts you had went through to show Vader your faithfulness to him were tiresome. At first, you had convinced yourself he just didn't know how to express his feelings towards you, but you were delusional. You now beginning to think he simply wasn't interested in you, but you wouldn't give up on him, and you didn't know why.
Even if you felt lonely, you knew the purpose of your marriage was to serve the Sith Lord, and only him. At times, you find had yourself missing your parents, your people, and being on a physical planet. You hated living on the Death Star, the grey interior sucked the life out of you. It didn't help that you could only stare into the dark and vast universe that had surrounded you.
-
Vader had sensed that you had been feeling distressed and had offered you a getaway in one of the luxurious penthouses on Coruscant, to which you happily took him on that offer, hoping that he would also join you the duration you were there. Unfortunately, he would only be there for a few days before the Emperor had requested his presence in the outer rim territories.
On the second night of your luxurious stay at the large penthouse, you began to do one of the many activities that helped you ease your mind: cooking. The two guards whom you had gave the task to retrieve your groceries had returned. Vader had entrusted them to look after you while he was gone for the time being.
After putting the groceries in their rightful place, you began prepping the ingredients for some bivoli tempari with a side of calamari chowder. Cooking was an escape for you; you didn't have to worry about anyone or anything else as you let your mind and hands wander, it felt like second nature to you.
The oven beeps, telling you that the bivoli tempari had finished baking. You finished setting the utensils on the table for you and the two guards, you thought that they could accompany you and that they would probably enjoy this meal better than the cafeteria food on the Death Star. They were a bit hesitant at first, perhaps worried that Darth Vader could walk in at any given moment, knowing that he wouldn't like the idea of his guards getting close to his wife.
To your surprise, the two guards were very easy to talk to. You discovered that their names were Knox and Adam, both very simple men who had the goal to fulfill their duty and were passionate about the Empire. You began to feel at ease, feeling more comfortable in the penthouse after having dinner with the two soldiers.
-
On the fifth day of your stay, Vader had surprised you by showing up two days earlier than his expected date. The doors to the elevator revealed a Vader in critical condition, you rush over to him, dragging him into the living room to patch him up. This wasn't the first time you had to patch him up. There were times your husband would come into your chambers injured after a mission. Other times he would wake you up to help him put on a batch patch on his back, but this time, he needed more than that. What felt natural to you, you began strip him of his black clad armor to get to the wounds.
"The...The helmet." He said weakly, his modulated breathing was hitched. Your eyes widen at his request, you had never seen him without his helmet before. Your hands were shaky as they slowly made their way to undoing the outer shell of the helmet, lifting it up from the neck gaiter.
"Maker..." You whispered under your breath, eyes widening at how gorgeous the man that sat in front of you was. His yellow colored eyes met your e/c orbs. His sandy curls were damp from the sweat he accumulated during combat. Your husband's hitched breathing brought you back to reality as you began to analyze his body from injuries.
He had a large gash on his left shoulder and ribs. You run into the kitchen to retrieve your medical box, now opening it on the table you began to work on him right away.
The atmosphere between the both of you was silent, but tense. Not a single word was muttered, other than Vader's occasional hisses of pain when you applied some bacta ointment on his wounds. An hour had passed while you had patched your husband up, without thinking, your e/c orbs met his as you cup his cheek with your hand.
"I'll make some soup to make you feel better hun." You kissed his forehead before walking back into the kitchen. It was in your nature to be nuturing, it was perhaps one of your best attributes that many people loved about you. For Vader, he hated it. He hated how caring you were, despite all the things he had put you through, you were forgiving and still cared for him. He felt he didn't deserve the woman like you.
Vader remained on the couch, his hands in his head, still stunned at what you did. It was the first time you had touched him, the first time you kissed him in way that made the butterflies in his stomach flutter.
A feminine hum shook him out of his thoughts, when he turned around, he was met with your backside torwards him. You were swaying your hips, as you hummed along to one of your favorite artists, Kuma Marden.
Vader couldn’t help but stare in awe, the corner of his mouth twitching into a small smile at you immersed into the music as you cooked. He didn't know what overcame him, but he knew he couldn't just sit there helplessly as you cooked.
“Allow me to help you my dear.” Your eye slightly widen at his suggestion, before you quickly nodded at him. Vader raises his hand toward the cupboards where the silverware and plates were. Using the force, Vader motioned the now, floating utensils and plates into the direction of the dinner table. You chuckled at Vader’s helpfulness as he carefully set the table with the use of the force.
“Take a seat darling, dinner is almost ready.” Your soft, yet gentle voice rung through his ears. With a screech from the chair, Vader plopped himself down in the chair that was head of the table. You made your way over to him, holding bowl containing some sort of stew that was steaming hot. Vader’s stomach rumbled at the sight of the bowl in front of him. It had been years since he had last seen something this appetizing.
With his hunger gnawing at him, Vader dug into the hearty stew. Glancing over at your husband, you couldn’t help but smile at his hastiness, before returning your focus on layering some jogan fruit on the purple-filled tart. The sound of the spoon hitting the table had made you nervous. “What’s wrong? Do you not like it dear?” You stopped in your tracks, whipping your head where your husband sat, growing nervous at his response.
"This is...This is very delicious my dear." He uttered out before digging back in. You let out a sigh of relief, smiling to yourself, content that you were able to satisfy your husband. What you didn't know, memories had began flooding into Vader's mind. The stew you had made had a familiar taste, if not the exact same taste of a soup his mother had made for him when he was a youngling.
"Well, make sure you leave some room for dessert then honey." You reply, slicing a piece of the jogan tart and plating for him. You place the plate in front of him. Realizing your husband was still shirtless, you go fetch one of his black robes that hung in the closet in the bedroom.
You had just missed the look on his face. Vader loved jogan fruit, and for it to be in tart form? Even better. He began scarfing down the dessert the moment you had turned your back.
Returning to the dining room, you see Vader washing away the plates he had just finished eating off from. Noticing you out the corner of his eye, he turned off the sink, wiping his hands dry on one of kitchen towels. You make your way over to him, helping him put on his black robe. He turns around to face you, allowing you to tie his robe altogether.
Sensing his gaze on you, you look up to him and give him a small smile before walking away to finish cleaning up, not giving him the chance to thank you for the dinner. Vader stood there, slightly hurt at your action.
The both you spent your evening winding down separately from each other. He could swear you were force sensitive or something, especially whenever he walked into a room you were in, you were quick to pardon yourself into a different room. He was getting just a tad bit annoyed, was he really that awful to stare at? Was he really that intimidating for you to be around?
He had found you in bed, sitting against the headboard, reading away at one of your books. Vader removes his robe and throws it on the vanity chair, leaving himself shirtless. Still immersed in your book, you feel the bed dip next to you, as your husband lets out a sigh of content after getting into a comfortable position.
For once, you sensed that your husband was finally opening up to you. Never did you ever see his face before going to bed or waking up. He had always made sure you didn't catch a glimpse of his actual face, maybe he was afraid of what your reaction would be.
You could feel his eyes burning through your skull. Beginning to feel uncomfortable under his gaze, you decided to speak up.
"How was your day hun?" Attempting to ease the awkwardness that had formed between the both of you. He didn’t respond, but you felt him grab your right hand that had been resting on your side. He began tracing your palm of your hand with his metal pointer finger, making you look over at him.
Now that he had your attention, your eyes lock on each other, your breath hitches at his intense yellow eyes.
"Sometimes I don't appreciate you enough my darling." He whispered to you. You were taken aback at his words, never did he speak such words to you, or just speak to you in general.
"Those rebels really got you messed up today don't they?" You poke at him, recalling that his physical state a couple of hours ago. Vader chuckled at your words.
"You could think that...But I mean it, really." His sincerity showing through.
You shut your book and place on the nightstand, unsure what to say to him. You couldn't run away from him this time.
"Perhaps you should get some rest." You suggest, wanting to avoid where the conversation was leading to. Turning off the lamp, you lay down on your side, your back facing him now.
Vader was starting to grow upset at your dismissive behavior, but he knew why you were acting this way. He had realize how cold he had been to you since the start of your arranged relationship. He never wanted this, but of course the Emperor had forced this upon him. He knew one day you would be collateral damage if something were to go wrong.
The past few months, Vader had been dealing with some inner turmoil. Conflicted with the idea of falling in love, the idea of falling in love with you. But now, he was desperate for your attention, deprived of it. Without thinking, Vader moved closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
At first, he could feel how tense you were, but you soon relaxed in the comfort of his large, strong arms. Your heart was beating fast against your ribcage. Vader was never physical with you, but you couldn't help but enjoy this very moment. Everything you had wanted to him to do, you were given it tonight. You knew it would take time for him to come around. Realizing your actions may have been hurtful to him, you turn around and face him.
“Perhaps I was too little rude to you.” You whisper to him. Your hand cupping his cheek.
“You don’t need to apologize for anything.” He cupped your cheek, his thumb gentle grazing the bottom of your lip. “May I?”
“Y-you may.” You breathlessly let out. His lips finding its way to yours.
His lips were soft against your plush lips. You pull away from him, trying to process what had happened. You rest your forehead on his, trying to catch your breath.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting you to do that.” You murmur, now resting your head on his chest, your arms snaking around his torso, tightly embracing him.
Vader couldn’t help smile to himself at your words. As you began to slip into your slumber, he couldn’t help but comb his fingers through your hair before dozing off himself. Perhaps he should keep you around longer.

It's Been A Long Time Old Friend (Part III) - Unburnt!Darth Vader x Reader
author's note: y'all I'm a liar, but here is the final part! thank you for reading!
summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
part I: It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I)
part II: It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part II)
The sound of Vader's heavy footsteps were muffled by the lavender colored carpet in your private chambers. He was scanning the room, hoping to find any personal items that belonged to you, especially your lightsaber.
The faint sounds of heels clicking on the marble flooring had become increasingly louder and louder behind the door. Vader picked up your force signature, sensing that it was you getting closer and closer. He was going to confront you for once and for all.
You had bursted through your bedroom doors, frantically searching for something. Vader had hid behind the curtain that was draped behind a large pillar, watching your backside as you rummaged through your closet and drawers.
When you pulled out the last thing you needed in the dresser, your lightsaber. Your ears picked up on an all so familiar modulated breathing. Feeling a breeze of cold air hit you, your blood runs cold as your chest begins to heave.
You couldn't move, you felt the force surrounding you to keep you in your place, it was cold. You knew it was him. You weren't sure what to do, you knew you would have to face and fight him, or just run away as fast as you could. You probably had a better chance of surviving if you ran.
You felt your feet leave the ground as you began to float and find yourself slowly rotating around as you faced the most feared man in the galaxy. Darth Vader.
"Y/N L/N, Jedi Knight of the Galactic Republic. Your former master was Master Yoda. You fought alongside General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker did you not?" Your eyes widen at his words, your jig was up. How could he possibly know this about you?
"I-I have no idea what you're saying." You mustered out, he was going to kill you now, you could sense it.
"My dear Y/N, you were never a good liar." Vader said, taking small steps towards you as you were suspended in the air with the force. "Your thoughts are loud... I do not have the intention on killing you."
"Yeah? And how would I know for sure you won't pull a fast one on me." You retorted. Vader turned his head towards you, his red lens boring into your eyes now.
"Search your feelings my love. I could never hurt you." Vader's voice soften as he raised his gloved hand toward you, touching the scar on your cheek. The scar you had gotten back in the arena on Geonosis, just when the Clone War had broke out.
"A-Anakin...?" You whisper under your breath, trembling underneath his touch. "N-No, it, it can't be!" Shaking your head profusely, hoping he would remove his hand from you.
"Out of all the men in the star system, you decided to marry, him?" Vader commented. You were still stunned, trying to imagine that it was your Anakin behind that mask. All of the things you have heard that he had done, Anakin could never commit such deeds. Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to process the informational at once.
"I didn't have much of a choice... Either I work myself to death while avoiding you and your inquisitors, or this." You responded after collecting your thoughts. "I thought you were gone..." You whispered under your breath, continuing to avoid eye contact with him, but Vader still heard you.
"I have scoured to the ends of the space system the past two years, looking for you. Only to find out, that you had been married to that snob Kairos this entire time." He snared out. You snapped your head up at his words, anger seething through you at his accusation.
"I-I had no choice! You left me. You left us!" You exclaimed, looking at him now. "I thought you died Anakin...I thought you would never return to me."
That had set him off, the both of you were arguing back and forth now. The heartbreak and resentment that had been building up within you was coursing through you, and Anakin could feel it. The more you expressed your anger, the more amusing he found it, never did you become so heated before.
"For a Jedi, you seem to hold a lot of anger." Vader quipped. Your eye twitches at his comment, wanting to slap the hell out of him for all he had done to the Jedi, to Obi-Wan, and to you.
"I am no Jedi...You seem quite ignorant for man who had not realize the damage he had done to those around him." You spat back.
With that, Vader released you from his grip. You landed on your feet in surprise, and now in fear, uncertain on what he was planning to do next.
Vader swiftly removed his helmet. You were taken aback at his appearance. His eyes no longer held their original cerulean-colored pupils, but instead were bloodshot yellow, the color of a Sith's eyes. Despite his eyes, he still looked the exact same all those years ago.
The man whom you saw your future with all those years ago. The man who held you tightly in his arms every night during the war. The man who would promised that he would leave the Jedi order for you, so that you would never have to keep your relationship a secret. The man who had left you in the dust two years ago, with no explanation, nothing to explain his absence.
"Everything I had done, was for you, my love." Anakin said softly, almost sounding defeated. Almost sounding hurt as if you weren't as grateful for what he had done for you, for his empire.
"I didn't want any of it...Anakin, why couldn't you have told me?" Your lips began to tremble, as your eyes began to tear up. "All I wanted, was you, just you Anakin...No empire, no imperial stormtroopers, none of that. Just you."
You were right in front of him now, your hands on his chest plate, as you looked up at him, hoping that there was still some good him. Anakin stared down at you, his face softening at your words and now, you. You felt his tense shoulders relax under your touch.
"Leave the empire, please... We can be together again, we can have a family...There's no Jedi order or anything stopping us." You pleaded, hoping to change his heart selfishly. You were aware of the bloodshed that followed Vader, but now knowing that it was your lover who was behind the mask, you couldn't help but to try and stop any further harm from being done.
"I...I serve the Emperor and his empire now." Anakin huffed out, his voice now monotone. You take a step back from him, shaking your head as you watched the love of your life slip away from you and into the dark side for the second time.
"Then at least leave Kairos and the Kingdom of Lianna alone." You bargained, praying that nothing would happen to this beautiful planet and that Kairos wouldn't have to pay the price for your deeds.
"And leave you with that scoundrel?" Vader responded, unamused and slightly disappointed at your request.
"I-I don't plan on staying here any longer...But all I ask for you, is to not hurt him or this planet." Still begging at your former lover. Shouting was heard outside by the landing platform. You turn your heard in the direction of yelling, running over to the large window that overlooked the landing platform. A squad of stormtroopers were pointing and aiming their blasters at Kairos, Chira, and the pilot. You turn around to look at Anakin, whom hadn't moved an inch.
"Anakin, please. Don't do this." You begged, but you were too late, as the sound of muffled blaster fire was heard outside. Your stomach dropped as you began to tremble in fear, afraid to look out the window to find the bodies of Kairos, Chira, and the pilot laying in their pool of blood.
"I wish things hadn't gone this way." You whispered out, clutching your bag of belongings as you made your toward the door.
"Y/N." Anakin whispered, you stopped in your tracks, your hand just on the door knob. "My love for you, will always remain." You hung your head, biting the bottom of your lip before swinging the door open and darting down the corridor.
Anakin watched as you ran out, the sound of your heels clicking on flooring descended further and further away from him. He took a deep breath before letting out a frustrated sigh, tears forming around his eyes.
He was given a second chance with you, but threw it away for the sake of the empire once again. Perhaps he wanted to give you a chance to live without him, but how could you live freely with the Empire still in power? Already convinced, Anakin believed you would lead a happier life than to be with him, especially with what he has done.
Anakin slowly made his way to the large window where you just were, looking down, he sees Chira and Kairos ushering you onto the ramp before it closed shut. The bodies of the stormtroopers laying lifeless in their pool of blood.
He felt a pair of eyes on him. Scanning the landing platform, Kairos stood there. For just a moment, their eyes lock. Kairos had an unreadable expression as he analyzed the Sith lord's face. Anakin stared down at him, anger bubbling within him, but he was reminded of your wishes to let this planet be.
In the distance, your ship jumps into light speed and disappears out of the planets atmosphere. A tear rolls down Anakin's cheek, he decided to put back his helmet back on before making the decision to leave this planet.

I am hoping to release it within the next few days. please let me know what you think of the series so far! xx
summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
part I: It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I)
You couldn't sleep as well as you thought last night. You felt overwhelming chilly and cold. Perhaps you accidentally left one of your balcony doors open.
Chira was doing your hair as you accessorized yourself with jewelry. You were expected to dress a certain way ever since you became a monarch. Displaying your wealth and status in the intricate, puffy gowns, bouffant hair, and excessive jewelry. At times, you felt the clothing and jewelry you had wore was a bit much, but to your dismay, you didn't have a say in it.
"Is everything alright Y/N?" Chira spoke up, noticing how you were less talkative this morning.
"Yes, Chira...It's just a surprise to find out that Lord Vader would be staying with us the next four weeks. Other than that, everything is fine." You gave her a small smile as you both made your way out of your chambers. Both you and Chira talked some more before you dismissed her to her other duties.
After indulging in breakfast with Kairos in silence as per usual, he eventually left as he had gone off to show Lord Vader the facilities to where his TIE fighters were being built.
You were in the palace's private library, reading away. Life in the palace was boring, but you selfishly prefer this than having to hop planets every week. You didn't have to work in terrible conditions and worry about when or what your next meal was. At times, you weren't sure how long you could get away living this life, or how long the Empire would reign for.
Vader's presence on Lianna left you on edge, you began to ponder at your ruminations. What if you hadn't fully cut yourself off from the force? When the Jedi fell, inquisitors arose and hunted any Jedi. Whether it was to turn them into inquisitors or just simply kill them off. At times, you wanted to reach out to Obi-Wan and see how he was doing. Though, you and Obi-Wan agreed to never disclosed your locations to each other, for the sake of each other's safety, you couldn't deny that you missed your old friend dearly. But there one person you missed the most, and it was your former lover, Anakin Skywalker.
You felt like a traitor when you were forced to marry Kairos. You felt as if you betrayed Obi-Wan, yourself, and most importantly, Anakin. The guilt ate you up for the longest time until you made peace with it, believing this was how your life was going to be from now on.
When Obi-Wan had broke the news that Anakin gone, you refused to believe him at first. You lived in denial for several months, drowning in your sorrow, and holding out hope that your husband would return to you one day.
There was one night, you had a dream of Anakin dying. The dream felt too real that you couldn't tell if it was the force telling you the veracious fate of Anakin. You searched your feelings, which only pushed you in believing that the Anakin you knew and loved ceased to exist. That same night, you made the decision to cut yourself off the force and try to leave your Jedi past behind.
-
Lightning flashed through the tall windows of the dimly-lit palace. The faint sound of thunder rumbling echoed throughout the night sky, masking the sound of Vader's heavy footsteps and breathing as he roamed the corridors. After a long day of touring the facilities and having to listen to Kairos at every minute of the day, Vader was ready to be done and meditate in his chambers. But before he could, Vader had to map out the palace, scanning the building to locate any secrets that may had any hidden passages, hiding any force-sensitive people.
After sending two probe droids and unit of stormtroopers to scan the exterior, Vader had made a beeline through every hallway and room he had encountered, making sure every crevasse of the interior of the palace was noted in his holomap.
When Vader had hit the throne room, the blue light emitted from his wrist, scanning over the objects and walls within the room. When the light had hit the large portrait of you and Kairos, Vader paused, analyzing the picture. Though the room was dimly lit from the lanterns on the wall, the flashes of lightning allowed Vader to take in the portrait clearly.
Vader studied you, his eyes scanning over your features. Your face didn't have any of the royal face paint on. Instead, your face bore little to no makeup, showing your true natural beauty. Vader furrowed his eyebrows as his eyes landed at the small scar on your right cheek. Vader couldn't tell if it was a doppelgänger, or that it was a coincidence that another woman in the space system happened to eerily look like you and have the exact scar on the cheek. He thought fate was playing with him.
"My Lord, we have just finished scanning the palace." The voice of one of his stormtroopers shook Vader out of his thoughts. A flash of lighting glared through the windows and on the portrait, as Vader took one last good look at image before leaving the room and into his chambers.
-
A week had passed since Vader made the decision to stay at the palace. You rarely saw him around at first, but he soon came around and would join you and Kairos for breakfast and dinner. Though he wouldn't eat anything and would just sit and watch you and Kairos eat in silence, perhaps it allowed him to come out of his shell, or just spy on you both.
The one thing you did notice, was how he took a liking to you, at least that's what you convinced yourself of. Whenever Vader was in the presence of both you and Kairos, you always felt like there were a pair of eyes watching you. When you would look back at him, he either continue to stare at you or avert his gaze.
Maybe you were going crazy, but you could still sense Vader's prying eyes on you before going to bed. Because of this, you had made sure to close and lock your balcony doors every night, but even then, you couldn't shake the feeling away that you were being watched.
There was one day you wanted to test the waters with Vader and mustered the courage to start a conversation with him.
"Lord Vader, I hope you are enjoying your stay with us." You stated, approaching the Sith Lord, who was gazing over the clashing waves of the ocean. Vader turned to look at you, surprised at your words.
"Your majesty, it would appear I am enjoying my stay here. It does feel great... To be here, where it is beautiful, and relaxing" He let out, turning to look back at the ocean. You raised your eyebrows, stunned at his response. You've heard Vader was often straightforward with his words, never did he find interest in engaging in intimate conversations, even with his own men.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that Lord Vad-"
"Vader. You can refer me as Vader m'lady. You need not use formalities when you address me, especially when we are alone together." He interrupted you, you were taken aback at his words, unsure what to say.
"Well, Vader. In that case, you can call me Y/N." You gave him a small smile. Anakin whipped his head at your words, his eyes widening under the mask. It was you, it has to be you, this has to be a twist of fate. Anakin's breath hitched in his throat at the revelation.
"Are you alright Vader?" Your tone became serious, noticing the sudden change in his demeanor. You unconsciously touched his well built bicep, a habit you had when expressing your concern. The sudden contact sent a surge of electricity through the both of you. Realizing your action, you pulled your arm back. Anakin on the other hand was disappointed when your hand was no longer on him. He felt that all the pieces missing to him have fallen in place when you touched him. The faint feeling of familiarity he felt when he had landed on Lianna, had become stronger by the moment when you had touched him.
"Oh would you look at that, it's almost time for supper, care to join us?" You cleared your throat, looking down at your pocket watch, quickly changing the subject matter. Vader couldn't refuse, he needed an excuse to be with you longer. He needed you to touch him again, or him to touch you, or something for him to feel that spark he had just felt.
"I...I would love that." He let out. You gave him a huge grin at his response.
A gesture that Vader would never do, he offered his arm to you, in hopes he that you'll ignite that spark in him again. You hooked your arm around his, as you both made your way to the dining hall.
To say that Vader was feeling conflicted at the moment was an understatement. Anakin began to feel that his heart was melting away the ice around it. The past two years, he had felt nothing but fear, pain, and suffering. All of sudden, you, you reminded him about this youthful self and his past, before he became a Sith.
Anakin knew he would have to bring you to the Emperor or have you killed, whether it by his hands or one of his inquisitors, but now he couldn't bring himself to do either. You were his, truly. You were his angel, his wife, and his Y/N. All of the visions he had of you dying were no longer true, there were fictitious. Anakin thought he had lost everyone he loved, but you remained.
-
"That was well delicious as always." Kairos said to one of the butlers, to which you nodded in agreement as the butlers took the plates away.
"It's getting late, we should head to bed honey." You spoke up, looking at Kairos, who nodded in agreement.
"Allow me to walk you to your room my dear." Kairos stood up from his seat, as did you. You roped your arm his as you turned to back at Vader who was seated across the table.
"Goodnight Lord Vader." You gave him a smile, before leaving the room with Kairos. The both of you strolled down the hallway in comfortable silence. Instead of walking into the direction of your private chambers, you both made your way out to the palace's lit up courtyard. Kairos stopped in his place, turning to face you, holding both of your hands in his.
"Y/N..." Kairos spoke up. You looked up to him curious at his strange behavior and sudden intimacy.
"What is it Kairos?" You asked.
"I've noticed our guest has taken a liking to you." He commented. You raise an eyebrow at his statement.
"I think you're reading into it too much Kairos." You turned away, walking back into the direction from where you had came from, not wanting to deal with whatever Kairos had to pick with you this time. However, Kairos grabbed a hold of your wrist, spinning you around to face him.
"Y/N, for once put your ego aside... I understand we may not get along and disagree on most things, but I do care about you... I trust you, but I don't trust Lord Vader. Don't think I haven't noticed his wandering eyes on you." You scoffed at his accusation, ripping your hand out his grasp.
"Are you hearing yourself Kairos? You seem jealous at Vader's closelesness to me. Perhaps-" Before you could finish your words, Kairos smashed his lips against yours. Your eyes widened as you shoved Kairos off, wiping yours lips in disgust.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?" You began to yell at him, never did you imagine Kairos to pull a fast one on you.
"I need you shut up and listen to me for once Y/N. I understand you may not like me, but Lord Vader is here for a reason." Kairos took a step closer to you, his hands holding yours arms that were resting to side. "You may not see it Y/N, but there is something about you that brought Vader here."
You took a step back from Kairos, letting the revelation hit you. Your jig was up, you realized you should have been more careful around Vader. You should have known better that your force signature was still lingering out there. You needed to get off this planet before Vader figured it out.
"I...I need to know. What exchange did you have with the Empire? What relation do you have with him?"
"I-I don't know Vader like that Kairos. I have no idea what you're trying to get at." Your voice trembled, failing to hide your sudden nervousness.
"I suppose, you don't have to tell me if you want to... However, I do think it's best you leave Lianna for sometime. Before something happens." Kairos' voice was softer now. He held your hands once again, his eyes boring into yours. "I'll make sure Chira comes along with you, I'll send you to a planet somewhere in the Outer Rim. The Empire and Lord Vader would not be able to track you as easily there."
"Thank you Kairos... Really, I mean it." You cupped his cheek, to which he closed his eyes and leaned his head into. Realizing what you needed to do and where you needed to go, you knew this would probably be the last time you would step foot on Lianna, at least for a long time. "I apologize for roping you into this.... I know we had our differences, but I did not mind being around you. Even if you were a pain in my ass."
Kairos chuckled at your words, amused at your humor during one of the few vulnerable moments shared between the both of you. You knew you couldn't bring yourself to love Kairos, despite being married. You felt your heart still belonged to Anakin, even when you convinced yourself that he was gone.
"Just know I did love you Y/N, but I knew your heart was somewhere else when I had choose you." You quirked an eyebrow at his words.
"Y-you knew? Why did you still choose me?"
"You were beautiful, and still are. In truth, I needed my father to get off my back, but I did feel alone for the longest time before meeting you." Kairos looked down, avoiding your gaze.
Your eyes soften at his state. Part of you believed that your relationship with Kairos could have worked out. You strongly believed that you could have been good friends at least, but you both were too occupied being enemies than wanting to get along.
"I won't keep you here any longer. I'll have a ship ready for you. Grab whatever you need. Chira and I will meet you by the landing pad." The sudden shift in Kairos' serious tone shook you out of your pondering.
"I'll be quick. Thank you once again Kairos." You gave a quick kiss on his cheek before breaking out into a run, making your way into your private chambers to grab your emergency bag that held your personal items.

the finale: It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (III)
It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part I) - Unburnt!Darth Vader x Reader
summary: where Darth Vader arrives on the planet of Lianna. Only to discover that the Queen of Lianna was once his old flame during his Jedi years.
"And there you are! You're all set to go your Excellency." Chira, your handmaiden said after putting some final touches to your look.
"Chira, you know you don't have to call me that when we're alone right?" You responded, looking at yourself in the large vanity mirror. Your husband, Kairos, King of Lianna, was having meeting with the Emperor's right hand man, Lord Vader. Ever since your arranged marriage to him, it is expected of you to appear alongside him in his meetings to get a second opinion and to look like an accessory.
Never in million of years you would find yourself in an arranged marriage to a man you've never met, but here you are. Two years after the fall of the Jedi, you've traveled from planet to planet, evading inquisitors from finding and capturing you. There was one day you found yourself in a slave trading operation, where you sold off as a promising bride to your now husband, King Kairos of Lianna. At first, Kairos was hesitant in marrying you since you were a slave, but he had a duty to give his father a long lineage of heirs and his people a beautiful Queen to follow.
However, the marriage had been rocky from the get-go and continued to remain that way. You were never interested in him nor was he into you. No matter how hard you both tried to like each other, and understand one another, you both would always have opposing viewing points and would always clash. Maybe it had something to do with your Jedi beliefs instilled in you or your distaste towards members of royal families, or the fact your husband was a bootlicker for the Emperor and his Galactic Empire, and was a constant supplier for their TIE fighters.
Because of this, you both decided to remain separate from each other from all hours of the day, as you both had your own duties to fulfill. You both eventually agreed to sleep in separate chambers due to how sour the marriage had turned.
As dangerous and stupid of an idea it was at the time, you believed it was somewhat a smart plan on your end to marry a royal family member. The inquisitors couldn't suspect a former Jedi to marry into royalty, right? Luckily, it helps that women who are apart of the Royal Family of Lianna, are expected to wear face paint and makeup to cover up their real identity. A similar practice that derived from the Royal Family of Naboo.
You had also cut yourself off the force right after the rise of the Empire. After Obi-Wan had told you that Anakin had turned to the dark side, you both knew what was expected to come for the both of you. Obi-Wan had gone his separate way, and you followed suit onto your own path.
Now here you were, covered in white face paint, heavy purple eyeshadow, and bright red lipstick embellished your facial features.
Chira assisted you in your royal gown. The gown was a deep purple, adorned with thousands of beads from the waist down. Chira placed your large halo crown onto your head, securing it place.
"Andddddd we're done! It looks like it's time for your meeting!" Chira said, eyeing you up and down, making sure you were looking like royalty.
"Thank you Chira. You are free to leave." You replied. Chira bowed before exiting your chambers.
You met your husband on the landing pad to the palace, where you both awaited for the arrival of Lord Vader.
"Darling, don't you look delightful today." Your husband, Kairos spoke up, lending his arm for you to take.
"Don't I always do?" You quipped, wrapping your arm around his. The whirring sound of a ship approached the landing pad. The door to the ship opened, revealing a line of stormtroopers, as they walked down the ramp. Right behind them, stood the terrifying Darth Vader.
"Ah, Lord Vader, shall we began our discourse?" Kairos spoke up, bowing to him, to which I silently followed his action.
"As always King Kairos." Lord Vader responded. The three of us, alongside the stormtrooper and our guards made our way to the conference hall.
-
The meeting was long and agonizing, as per usual. Kairos would argue for a larger price, the opposing party would try to bargain for a lower price, and yadda yadda.
Though this was your first meeting with the Emperor's apprentice, you have to stay, you weren't as intimidated as you thought you were. Yeah, you've heard grisly stories about the Sith Lord and cruel he can be, but after having to sit 2 hours straight across from him wasn't as bad. However, you did feel small under his gaze. His attention may be focused on your husband, but you couldn't help but sense the seeking glances from the Sith Lord himself from time to time.
"Perhaps we could ask your wife about her thoughts on this matter." Vader's mechanical voice shook you out of your thoughts and brought you back to reality. You looked at your husband, then at Lord Vader, before speaking up.
"Well, I do think it's possible to increase production and have our men producing 20,000 TIE fighters per week the next four weeks with the price of 7,000,000 Imperial credits." You offered, the amount that was way less than what your husband had originally offer, that being 20,000,000. Kairos feigned a smile as he squeezed your thigh in response to your offer, indicating that he was not satisfied with the amount you've offered to Lord Vader.
"We have a deal. I will return in two weeks to see the progress. It was a pleasure doing business with you as always King Kairos." The Sith Lord responded, now standing abruptly from his seat. Both Kairos and I followed suit. Kairos shaking his hand with Lord Vader, sealing the deal.
"And I see you have a wife. From what I recall, I don't remember you being married." The Sith Lord piqued. I adverted my gaze away from Lord Vader's intense gaze. Kairos squeezed my arm before speaking up.
"Well, we haven't been married that long Lord Vader. We had just gotten married shortly after our last meeting, so it's been 4 months." Kairos smiled down at me, to which I returned. "You will see her more often in our future encounters my Lord."
"I look forward to them." Vader responded, eyeing me up and down once more. Kairos and I assist Vader and his stormtroopers to his ship on the landing pad. After watching his ship depart, Kairos releases his arm from mine and walks back inside the palace, into his private chambers. I sigh to myself, watching Lord Vader's ship fly off in the horizon, before making my way into my chambers.
-
He couldn't put a finger on it, but something about you stirred something inside him. He didn't want to stare at you for too long, he knew it would make you uncomfortable, but there was just something about you that seemed familiar. Upon landing on the landing pad, he felt a faint force signature. Though you cut off yourself off from the force two years ago, some parts of you still lingered in the force.
After Vader's departure from the palace, he hadn't left the planet's atmosphere yet. In fact, his ship was on autopilot in the sky as he was busy sending a message to his master to tell him his discovery. Vader had a mission to get rid of every last Jedi, whether it meant to turn them into inquisitors or kill them off entirely.
"Master, it would seem I've made a discovery." Vader spoke to the blue figure on the holotable to his ship.
"And what would that discovery be Lord Vader?" The Emperor's tone sounding a bit impatient at his apprentice's words.
"It would appear that Queen of Lianna could be a force-sensitive individual, Master."
"Is that so my apprentice? What an interesting discovery... Perhaps we could turn her into a pawn, or a weapon... I would keep an eye on this one, Lord Vader. Perhaps she is a lot stronger with the force than we may realize." The Emperor responded, somewhat surprised that a Jedi had found themselves entangled in a royal family.
"Yes my master." Vader responded before the figure of Palpatine disappeared from the holotable. He had a new objective now. Vader wanted to alter the deal now. Instead of visiting in two weeks to check on the progress, he in fact, wanted to oversee the progress every day until he had gotten his TIE fighters. With this, Vader had made his way back to the palace.
-
"Your Majesty! You must come quickly!" Chira, your handmaiden had barged into your chambers. Unsure what was happening, you dropped the book you were reading and followed her.
"What's the matter Chira? Has something happened?" You asked, both of you fastening your pace in the direction of the throne room.
"I-it's Lord Vader. He came back...The King requested your presence." Chira huffed out. Both you and Chira arrived outside the tall doors to the throne room. You took a deep breath and corrected your posture before entering the room. The doors slowly opened, revealing the backsides of numerous stormtroopers and Lord Vader. Kairos, was seated on his throne, talking to Lord Vader when you caught his attention.
"My love, come." Kairos stood up, gesturing for you to come sit in your throne next to his. The stormtroopers and Lord Vader turn around to face you as you hurriedly made your way over to your royal seat.
"I have altered the deal. I will be overseeing the progress on the TIE fighters from now." Darth Vader's voice echoed throughout the room. You nervously looked over at your husband, unsure what he had gotten yourselves into.
"Y-Yes, your Lord. May I ask-"
"There will be no questions. I ask that you will provide my men lodging and meals for the duration of their stay." The Sith Lord interrupted him. To which Kairos could do nothing about nod enthusiastically at Lord Vader's requests. "Tomorrow, you will provide me a tour of your facilities as I will begin to oversee all production of my TIE fighters."
"Of course my Lord." Kairos stood up, bowing to Lord Vader. You sat there, staring at your husband, anxious of what was yet to come.
-
"What the hell was that Kairos?!" You exclaimed. Both you and Kairos were having another one of your disputes in his chambers once again. This time, it was about Lord Vader's little vacation at the palace and overseeing the planet's assets. "When are you going to stop kissing the Empire ass and stand up for yourself for once?"
"I had no choice Y/N! Have you forgotten that Lord Vader and the Emperor are the most cruel and powerful beings in this star system?! They'll cut off my arm if I were to disagree with them." Kairos retorted. You scoffed at the same excuse he had used ever since you brought this topic up. "The Empire is funding our planet. We are an asset to the Empire. We're becoming richer and richer with every TIE fighter and Imperial weapons we sell them. With this, we can help our people."
"I don't know want to hear it anymore Kairos. Our people still suffer at the hands of the Empire, whether it is happening directly or indirectly." You made your way to the door. "You may not see it now, but the damage done to the planet and the people will be irreparable when you come to your senses." With that, you slammed the door your husband's door shut. You huffed out in frustration, your heels clicking on the marble flooring as you stormed toward your chambers. Little did you know, Vader was around the corner, eavesdropping on the argument that you and Kairos had moments ago. The Sith Lord smiled to himself, realizing that he use this to further manipulate the King of Lianna with the knowledge that his marriage was crippling.
-
After taking a long soak in your bath and finishing your nighttime routine, you were eager to get some rest. Shutting the lamp on your nightstand, you began to snooze off.
Images of being in the Jedi Temple began to flood your dreams. Realizing what your mind was doing, you tried to shut down those dreams, worried that it would pull you deeper into the force and down the path of memories that you did not want to relive. But what you didn't know, Darth Vader was in the meditation chambers that the Lianna medical staff and engineers had constructed for the Sith Lord. Darth Vader was using the force to encourage you to reveal yourself. There was something oddly familiar about you that made him curious.
After trying to get into your mind, he couldn't. Either you had nothing interesting going in your mind or that you were really good at blocking him out. Vader knew he had to be careful. He couldn't give away his true intentions to why he was here on the planet of Lianna. Yes, he and Palpatine need the TIE fighters, however this is different now. A force-sensitive woman who was a Queen was the topic interest at the moment. Plus, Vader needed to be away from the Death Star. Staring at the dark gray walls and into hyperspace just wasn't cutting it for him. Luckily the planet of Lianna was filled with lush gardens and vast lakes that Vader and his men could enjoy the duration of their stay.

next part: It's Been A Long Time, Old Friend (Part II)
Do I Know You? Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker x Reader {Part. II}
author's note: here is part two aka the final chapter to my alternate universe/timeline!au fic. I wasn't expecting to release this chapter so late, but here it is!
summary: Where Darth Vader is sent on a mission and finds himself traveling through another timeline and meets another version of you were you aren't dead.
part I: Do I Know You? I
Obi-Wan took his saber off his belt and held it firmly in his grasp now. "Let's try this one more time. You will leave at once and return to where you once came." Obi-Wan stated.
Vader's demeanor shifted. The dark side influencing him to become more angry by the moment. He grew impatient at this, other Obi-Wan, standing in his way between his wife once again. With a hiss of his helmet, Vader's helmet was back on his head again. His vision now giving him the advantage to see in the dark penthouse.
"You will not take her away from me, again." Darth Vader's mechanical voice boomed as he lit his red lightsaber. "You will surrender her over to me alas."
"Oh I don't think so." Obi-Wan lit up his blue lightsaber as he got into his fighting position.
-
I stirred around in my bed. Something felt off, I could feel it in my stomach. My eyes shot opened at the faint sound of what sounded like lightsaber clashing.
Artoo had awaken from his rest state and beeped quietly at me, telling me that there was something or someone was here.
I stuck my hand under my pillow to pull out my handy blaster. I haven't needed to use it yet, but it was a precaution in situations like this. I got out the bed and cracked the door open ajar.
"Someone's here Artoo." I whispered to him, to which he quietly beeped in response.
I opened the door wider, only to see Obi-Wan's blue lightsaber clashing with a red lightsaber.
"There is no need to resist me." A deep, mechanical voice spoke. "Search your feelings Obi-Wan, only then you will know that I was once your appreintience, Anakin Skywalker."
I raise up my blaster, trying to find the person Obi-Wan was fighting, but it didn't help that it was dark and I couldn't tell who was who and what I would be aiming at specifically.
After moments of locking on the person Obi-Wan was fighting, I took a shot at what looked like his torso. A booming mechanical cry was heard, but that wasn't enough to take him down. In fact, it made him angrier. He used the force and threw Obi-Wan across the room and into the wall.
"Don't move! I'll shoot you again." I spoke up, my breath shaking. My other hand searching to find the light switch on the wall next to me. I turned on the lights only to be met face to face with the tall masked figure that was couple of feet from me. I pointed the blaster at his head, my hands shaking.
His breathing was mechanical. He sounded like a droid, but seemed human at the same time.
"Angel..." The tall figure said. My eyes widen, my blood ran cold as I froze in place. A nickname I haven't been called over year, a name I haven't been called since...Since Anakin's death. I gripped my blaster tighter, only for him to use the force and pull it out of my grasp and fling it across the room. I looked over to where Obi-Wan was on the ground unconscious.
-
Artoo rolled into the living space with a scream, attacking Vader's leg, only for him to be forced kicked across the room by Vader. This gave you time to run over to your blaster where Vader had flung it, but you couldn't move. That bastard was holding you in place with the force.
"Do not be afraid. I will not harm you." Vader spoke up, pulling you closer to him with the force. You were trying to wiggle out of his grasp, but it was no use.
"You will not harm me? Then release me this instant!" You exclaimed, still wiggling around the air, as he pulled you closer to him. You felt your feet touch the ground as he released his grasp from you. You were now standing face to face with Vader. "What is it that you want from me?" You brush out your silk nightgown as he stared at you in awe. You were slowly becoming uncomfortable under his gaze, but you wouldn't let yourself fold.
"Hello? Did you not hear me?" You asked again as you crossed your arms, your patience growing thinner.
"Apologies...I just." Vader mustered out, unable to find the words.
"You just what?"
You couldn't tell, but Vader was panicking under his suit. He didn't think this through, or what he would say to you if he faced you. You were very much alive, at least since the last time he saw you. Your e/c gleamed under the living room lights. Your locks of h/c hair were longer now, cascading down to your hips. Your lips were plump and rosy, just taunting Vader to smash his lips against yours.
Without thinking, Vader's hands had found his way up helmet once again. Hoping that this time you would give him a chance, unlike Obi-Wan who was a bit apprehensive and combative toward him. You watched in bewilderment as the person who was after you revealed himself as a humanoid man? But your shock didn't end there. Your eyes scanned all over Vader's face, analyzing it. You didn't know what to expect what this man would look like, but you weren't expecting him to look like this.
Vader's eyes were no longer yellow, but were his original cerulean colored eyes. You took a step closer to him as you cupped his face, your eyes meeting his. You couldn't believe it, you didn't want to believe it. His eyes were just like Anakin's, if not the exact same. Though Vader was now hairless and heavily scarred, he still resembled Anakin. In fact, there were still remnants of Anakin within Vader that he believed he had rid of years ago.
"I-it can't be..." You whispered out. It had been over a year since Anakin's death. There have been many nights where you dreamed of the life that both you and Anakin could have had after the war. How you would have left your position as senator, Anakin leaving the Jedi, just so you both could have a family somewhere in the star system. But every morning as you woke, it was a constant reminder that it was only a dream, and that every waking hour you were awake, it was a nightmare for you.
"Angel.." Anakin said softly, cupping your cheek. Your eyes were glossy now, tears slowly forming in the corner of your eyes.
You had dreams and hopes, hopes that one day both you and Anakin would find each other again. You couldn't care if Anakin had been reincarnated into a Wookie or some hideous creature, but as long as there were remnants of Anakin, you would be happy and content. Perhaps it had been the lament you had over the loss of Anakin or the loneliness you've endured the past year, you did everything and anything in your power to be with him once again.
Now, here he was, standing in front of you. Though he didn't look like the same Anakin you once knew and loved, but you had gut feeling that he was like Anakin at least.
"Ani...Is it really you?" You were desperate, desperately hoping that this was the Maker giving you another chance to have your happy ending with Anakin.
Anakin nodded in response as you wiped away a tear that fell from his eyes. You let out a sob has you threw yourself into his strong arms, to which he engulfed your small frame. He held onto you tightly, afraid that you would slip away from him.
You pulled away from Anakin, your eyes meeting his once again. Smiling up at him, you stood on your tippy toes, inching closer to his face as you closed the gap between yourselves. Your lips were soft against Anakin's slightly chapped lips. The kiss soon turned passionate as Anakin's pressed you harder against him, his hands roaming up and down your body, desperate to touch every single inch of you.
You let out a small moan, however your passionate session came to an end when you heard someone clearing their throat. Both you and Anakin pulled away, turning your heads at Obi-Wan who shifted uncomfortably in his spot, clutching his elbow that had been injured.
"How long was I out for?" Obi-Wan spoke up, trying to shift the awkward mood between the three of you.
"A good 15 minutes I'd say?" You responded, your cheeks now tinted pink as you looked up at Anakin, before looking back at Obi-Wan.
"Well, I'm gonna go get some rest. If you need me, I will be in my chambers." With that, Obi-Wan swiftly made his way out of the living area and into his room. You couldn't help but giggle, as Anakin let out a chuckle. Obi-Wan definitely had been watching the both of you make out for a good minute or so before intervening.
Anakin let out a hiss, forgetting the fact that you had shot him earlier with your blaster. You looked at him with concern.
"Oh darling... Let's get you patched up." You tell Anakin, your hand gently brushing against the wound. To which Anakin sucked in a breath.
"Could you patch me up in your bedroom love?" Anakin spoke up. You rolled your eyes at his comment, before hooking your arm around his and leading him to your quarters.
Do I Know You? - Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker x Reader {Part. I}
a/n: an alternate universe/timeline!au fic! this is the first part, the second part is in the works!
summary: Where Darth Vader is sent on a mission and finds himself traveling through another timeline and meets another version of you where you aren't dead.
part II: Do I Know You? II
"I am going to have a few words with you once I get back Sheev..." Vader thought to himself. His large frame was trapped in a tiny capsule that was rapidly moving downwards onto the surface of Tatooine.
His master had sent him to retrieve the Death Star plans on a rebel ship when all of sudden, the rebels managed to crowd him into this tiny capsule and drop him out of the ship.
There was a faint beeping heard below him. He looked down at his hand and noticed a device strapped on the back of his hand. Those damn rebels. Vader toyed with the device, hoping to shut off the beeping, but the beeping increased and flashed the words on the device:
Coruscant, 20 BBY
"Huh?" He thought to himself once again, what could this possibly mean? The light above him began flashing red. Out of the small window of the capsule, the dark space soon turned into a blue clouded sky. The Sith Lord let out a sign of frustration, how the hell did I get into this position?
The capsule came to an abrupt stop when it had landed on the ground, sending the Sith Lord face forward into the door. Vader groaned to himself. The door slid open, revealing a dark alleyway, similar to the alleyways in the Underworld in Coruscant.
Vader walked out of the capsule, turning around to admire the machine that the rebels had managed to squeeze him in. Interesting... The Sith Lord thought to himself before making his way towards the dimly lit streets of Coruscant.
The people off the streets eyed the tall, towering figure as Vader strolled along the sidewalks of the Underworld.
"Do you want to buy some deathsticks?" A Rodian man said as he approached the tall dark figure with death sticks in his hands. To which Vader took a step back and eyed the man.
"No..." He let out, debating on whether to take the deathsticks or not. This day was already terrible as is with how everything had gone.
"Are you sure? You'll have a great time-" Vader raise his hand, force choking the reptilian humanoid.
"I would rather not you pest. Now, you will go home and rethink your life."
"I-I will to go home and rethink my life." The man nodded up and down. Vader released his grasp, allowing the Rodian to scramble away from him.
There was whispering and murmurs from other onlookers, witnessing what the Sith Lord just did.
"Did he just use the force?"
"You saw that right?
"Do you think he's one of those Jedi?"
The Sith Lord looked around the people who backed away from him. Pathetic, he thought. He needed to find Palpatine and tell him that mission was a failure, the rebels had gotten away, and he was unable to get the plans. Meaning, that there will be a severe punishment waiting for him once he returns to his Master.
Vader walked into the nearest club and approached the Twi'lek bartender, hoping to find a speeder or station to get him out of here.
"Where is there nearest station? I need to get to the Emperor. 5127th level." Vader said to Twi'lek man who had just gotten done serving a drink to a customer.
"Emperor? Where on Hoth did you come from? Do you mean the Chancellor?" The man questioned, throwing his towel over his shoulder.
Vader sat in brief silence, thinking to himself, Chancellor? He could have sworn Sheev didn't go by that name anymore.
"Y-Yes, the Chancellor...Do you know where I can find him." Vader finally let out, after moments of awkward silence.
"Well, you won't have much of chance finding her. She's either too busy in her office or helping the people clear the debris that was left from the Clone Wars ever since the previous Chancellor was killed."
"She...? How strange." Vader said to himself. "And remind me, what is the name of the Chancellor is again?"
"Kriff dude, did your head get smack with a bunch of Ewoks throwin' rocks at it?" The man questioned, now cleaning cups with his towel.
Vader sat in silence again, staring down at the man. Debating on whether he should have killed his man sooner, or wait until he got a response. Luckily, he chose the latter.
"Chancellor Y/N L/N is her name. She was the former Senator of Naboo before she was elected right after Chancellor Palpatine's death. There's rumors that she had a fling with a Jedi Knight, by the name of Anakin Skywalker-"
"Tell me. Where is she." Vader said, his tone revealing his impatience.
"Woah woah, don't you want me to finish telling-"
"Where is the nearest station. I will find her myself." He stated.
"O-okay fine. The nearest station is quite a distance. But we do have this old speeder at the back of-"
Before the bartender could finish, Vader had already made his way out of the club and around to the back to the speeder. Chancellor Y/N? It couldn't be possible. You were dead, but he needed to see it for himself.
-
"Your Majesty, do you think-"
"Who cares, she has already told you how she felt-"
"Oh I wasn't talking to you-"
The doors of my office slide open, revealing Obi-Wan with a tray that had two cups on it. I smiled at him, to which he returned. But that smile soon turned into concern as he looked over at my two handmaidens who were having a little dispute.
"Are they still fighting about it?" Obi-Wan said, approaching me and handing me a cup of warm tea.
"Yes, yes they are." I responded, sipping and savoring the earthy taste of the tea.
"Chancellor! Chancellor!" A voice from outside my office called. I looked up at Obi-Wan who looked down at me. The doors to my office slid open, revealing Cal?
"Cal? What's the matter?" I said, now standing up from my chair and making my way towards him.
"T-There's. there's someone looking for you. We don't know who o-or what their name is." He breathed out, trying to catch his breath. "I'm just gonna take a seat here." before plopping himself on the loveseat.
"Astra, could you grab Cal a glass of water please?" Both my handmaidens stopped their bickering and turned to look at me.
"Y-yes of course your Majesty." Astra bowed, both handmaidens leaving the three of us in my office. I turned back to Cal with concern.
"Cal, take a moment to catch your breath. Now, what is this you heard of someone needing me?" I asked him, taking a seat next to him on the loveseat, my hand resting on his shoulder.
"Of course Chancellor. There are talks in the Underworld, that there is this dark figure, who I think is a force-user, is looking for you... I don't know if he's from another planet or something, but there's something off about that thing." Cal spoke, still breathless from running to get to my office.
"Thing?" I furrowed my eyebrows at his words. I looked up at Obi-Wan who was standing next to Cal, caressing his beard in thought.
"Well, it could be a droid of some sort. The thing sounds mechanical." Cal continued, gnawing at his lips nervously.
"Interesting Cal, do we perhaps have another other information of the individual?" Obi-Wan inquired.
"N-No Master, but I felt this dark energy from him. Almost as if it was evil, pure evil." Cal responded. He pulled out his holoprojector, showing footage of a tall dark mysterious figure force choking an innocent bystander.
Obi-Wan and I looked at each other before looking back at the hologram.
"He doesn't look like he would be friendly. Perhaps we may need to take action and find what this individual wants to do with you." Obi-Wan said, still stroking his beard. I thought to myself. How strange, what could I have possibly done that I was involved with this individual?
"We may need to tighten up security among the people and the rest of the sovereign powers. I don't want to draw too much attention to this. I already have much going on. Perhaps I'll bring this up to the Jedi council tomorrow morning and see what they think." I said sighing to myself, as I walked over to the large window that overlooked beautiful skies of Coruscant.
Obi-Wan nodded in agreement, Cal sat there looking between us.
-
The skies of Coruscant were pitch black, but littered with stars in the sky. The Sith Lord arrived at the small landing pad with his airspeeder, just outside of a familiar penthouse. The penthouses and apartments in Coruscant were always open air. Since they were high up in the skies, the only way to get in was with an airspeeder or the elevators to the buildings. So it was fairly easy for Vader to walk into your penthouse without needing to break a sweat.
The Sith Lord made his way into the penthouse. The lights of every room were turned off, except for one. Light faintly emitted from a set of closed doors, assuming that was your room, Vader made a beeline towards your bedroom doors.
Even with his ultraviolet and infrared vision, it was still limited to where Vader missed the Jedi that was hidden behind one of the large pillars of the penthouse.
"You're not welcomed here. You are trespassing a politician's home and I advise you to leave this instant." A familiar voice spoke up.
"I will not leave until I see her, the Chancellor." The Sith Lord turned around, but did not see anyone behind him. Vader turned back around only to be met with Obi-Wan with his hand on the hilt of lightsaber.
"M-Master..." Vader let out, only for Obi-Wan to quirk an eyebrow at him.
"Do we know each other?" Obi-Wan responded, his hand still resting upon his saber.
"Master, it's me... Anakin Skywalker." Vader spoke out to his former Master.
"Foolish nonsense, Anakin Skywalker is dead." Obi-Wan stated.
Both the Sith Lord and Master Jedi eyed each other, waiting on who would make the first move. After moments of deafening silence, Vader took off his helmet. Revealing his burnt, scarred face, and yellow Sith eyes. Obi-Wan watch him in disbelief, taking a step back from the Sith.
"Obi? Obi-Wan are you there? Who are you talking to in there?" Your voice was muffled on the other side of your door. Anakin's desperate eyes darted over to Obi-Wan and to your door, hoping he'll say something.
"Y-yes Y/N! No worries, it was just a false alarm! It was just a hawk-bat!" Obi-Wan shouted.
"If you say so Obi. I'm heading to bed now!" You shouted in response. The light emitting from your bedroom doors shut off, leaving the entirety of the penthouse dark and only for the Coruscant moonlight to shine through the large windows.
Obi-Wan shook his head and sighed to himself. "You have some nerve for showing up here. And to say that you are Anakin Skywalker? Ludicrous." He spat at Vader.
The Aftermath - (Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker x Deceased!Reader)
author's note: Vaderkin x Deceased!Senator!Reader (yes, another angsty fic because I'm tired of the lack thereof and I'm in an angsty phase)
summary: The Former Ruler of Naboo is visited by a familiar figure
"Would you like to know more about Naboo's former glorious excellency, Queen Y/N L/N, sir?" The protocol droid spoke up, trailing behind the dark figure attempting to assist him.
"No..." The Sith Lord paused. "I have heard it before." his tone sounding defeated.
"If you have any questions or require any further assistance, I will be right here. Carry on then." The droid responded before returning to his previous position outside the temple, keeping an eye for any other visitors that might enter the mausoleum.
Outside the structure was a statue of you in your coronation dress. At age 14, you were the youngest Queen the Naboolians had elected. You were considered a beacon of hope and prosperity to the people of Naboo during the Clone Wars and your reign. The mausoleum was built just shortly after your untimely death that occurred over five years ago.
The rainy night, had a cold breeze that blew through the dark lord's heavy black cape as he made his way inside the structure.
The dark lord took his time, slowly walking through the large structure, admiring every little detail along the way. It was as if it was his first time here, but it wasn't, he wanted to soak up every moment that reminded him of you at any given chance. Sound of the rain, his heavy footsteps, and his mechanical breathing accompanied the atmosphere.
Tall pillars held the inside of the structure where your tomb was. There were dark red curtains draped from the high ceilings that were neatly tied to the pillars with a gold sash. At the base of pillars, were large pots of the Naboo native (and your favorite flower): the red millaflower.
There were numerous amounts of your personal belongings exhibited in enclosed, locked display cases. These items ranged from the gowns and jewelry you wore, to the beauty items you had used daily, and to the items that were personally gifted to you to preserve them.
The Sith Lord sighed to himself, looking down at his gloved hands. If he were to close his eyes and rest his head against the glass of your personal belongings, he can faintly remember the memories of you attached to the item.
It had only been five years since your passing. Five years since he had wrongfully killed you in an act of desperation. He should have listened to you in that moment and time, but fear drove him off the edge. He wanted, needed to save you. The nightmares of you dying haunted him at the time and needed a way to resolve them quickly.
He strongly believed that if he turned to the dark side, he would be able to learn the power to heal you from any sickness, even death itself.
But he was wrong. He force choked you, depriving you of oxygen as a way to get you to listen to him, but killed you in the process.
"Anakin...I wanted was you...your love." you whispered out to him, before fluttering your eyes shut, slipping into an eternal slumber in his arms.
Your words echoed in the back of his mind as he remembered the painful memory. Soon after, he had become this revering machine that everyone feared, a monster, a dark lord.
A glint of an object out of the corner of his eye captured his attention. The Sith Lord made his way over to the display case that had a light shining down on the japor snippet that was neatly displayed on a velvet pillow. The very japor snippet he had made for you many moons ago.
He gifted it to you when he was just 9 and you were 14, right before he left for his Jedi training. He gifted it to you as a token of fortune and in hopes for you to remember him if your paths were to ever diverge.
There were moments where he would catch you wearing the necklace when he came over to your apartment after a long mission. At times, he couldn't help but tease you about it in private, but also feel proud of himself, as it meant that you were all his and only his.
Anakin stared at the gift he had given you all those years ago, wishing he could turn back time and be that little boy who was smitten for you. But he couldn't, the damage was already done.
He soon found his way over to your tomb. The Sith Lord used the force to brush off the fallen debris and dust that had coated the top of your sarcophagus. Incased in duracrete, the tomb was engraved in aurebesh that stated:
"Here Lies
Her Royal Highness
Queen Y/N L/N of Naboo
Beloved Queen, Senator, and Fighter for the People of Naboo."
Thunder rumbled in the distance. A flash of lightning flashed through the glass stained artwork of you that was just a couple of feet from your tomb.
With a hiss, Vader, Anakin took off his helmet. He looked up at the glass artwork of you in your red, royal gown and styled headdress. He remembered you had wore face paint and would often switch positions with your handmaidens to keep your identity and yourself protected from any assassination attempts.
Anakin choked out a sob, falling to his knees in the process. Feeling overwhelmed at the waves of emotions he felt at the situation. He tried to steady his breathing, as he grasped the edge of your sarcophagus to keep himself stable.
"I'm so sorry my angel...for all of it. Forgive me, alas.." Anakin choked out. Hoping that if you were a ghost or a spirit just somewhere in the room, hearing his cries, but you weren't.
You didn't possess any force abilities, you were just a human that was a Royal Member of Naboo Royal Family and leader to your people. You couldn't pass over to the next life and be seen by force-sensitive individuals, simply because you weren't one.
Anakin stayed there, quietly sobbing to himself. He had wished he listened to you and his old master, but didn't. This was one of the dire consequences that he had cause himself and most importantly, affected you.
But alas, the trail of blood Vader leaves continues. He had a new master to follow orders, an empire to rule. But deep down, he seeks retribution on your behalf and for his sake towards the Emperor.
It's Casual Right? (Modern!Anakin Skywalker x Reader)
Inspired by the song: "Casual" by Chappell Roan
summary: A really poorly written slowburn with Modern!Anakin Skywalker. Padme, your best friend, introduces you to Anakin Skywalker at a party. You both become great friends and eventually friends with benefits. What happens if you start to feel something more with Anakin, but you learn he doesn't quite feel the same for you?
Anakin and I have been hooking up for about 5 months now. We both met each other at a frat party, where Padme had introduced me to him and his best friend, Ben Kenobi.
At first, we started out as really good friends. But one night, it had led to our bodies entwined together, lying naked under the sheets in his bed. The next morning, Anakin had told me wanted to keep it casual. He pitched the idea that we could be friends with benefits, to which I stupidly agreed with, not knowing that it would lead me to the position I'm in now.
He told me there would be no strings attached and we would still remain as good friends (with benefits of course). And that if we ever needed one another, one of us would make time to pop over at whosever house to have sex to release each other's stress. It was exciting the first couple of times, but eventually I lost that excitement when we were 3 months in the relationship.
I soon realized that I started to develop feelings for Anakin. I started to see him in a different light. I wanted something more with him. I wanted to hold hands with him wherever we walked together. I wanted to kiss him badly, and in a way where I wasn't filled with lust, but with love instead. I wanted to love him in a way where I would cook his favorite meal every time he came home. I wanted him to love me as much as I loved him. I didn't want to be his booty call, or the girl he would bang on his couch anymore. I wanted to be more to him. And I wanted him to see me as someone he would want those same things as well.
You see, I wouldn't be thinking and feeling this way if it weren't for Anakin wanting to bringing me everywhere with him. Sometimes he'll have his arm around me and would kiss me on the cheek or lips, as if we were a couple. I thought he would soon develop similar feelings for me, but I was wrong.
There was one time Anakin's mother, Shmi, had invited me to a gala dinner with her and Anakin's new stepfather, Cliegg. When she had asked me if Anakin and I were dating over dinner, Anakin had quickly shot down his mother's question. To which surprised her and Cliegg and had left an uncomfortable silence between us for the rest of evening. Anakin's response felt like as if a knife had ran through my heart. That same night after dinner, Anakin and I got into an argument in the car ride to my house.
"Anakin. You confuse me, you know that right? How could you invite me to dinner with your parents and tell them that we aren't a thing?" I spoke up, knowing damn well that we weren't even considered a "thing" in the first place in his mind. But I wanted to press him further about his response from dinner. Because what kind of man brings you to meet his parents for the first time at a fancy dinner gala?
"Because we aren't Y/N! We aren't official or anything, and you know that. What do you not get about that?" He huffed out in annoyance, as he gripped the steering wheel tightly.
"Then why aren't we a "thing" Anakin? Have you ever considered my feelings that maybe I want to be more than just some girl you fuck? I hear it all the time in class. Especially the shit that you tell your friends." I throw at him. To which he pulled the car over the side of road to park and turned towards me.
"What exactly have you heard from my friends that I could have possibly told them?" He asked sternly, his gaze never leaving mine. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"You don't remember any of it do you? You don't remember bragging to your friends the very first time we fucked, you boasted about how you made me came first, when in reality it was you who did in the first place?" I snarled at him. Anakin looked down at his lap, thinking to himself. Remembering the only person he had told about your first time together was to Ben, but he didn't think his roommate would twist the narrative or tell anyone else about it.
"That's not what happened-"
"It doesn't fucking matter Anakin. I hear all of these rumors about me from my classmates, your friends, and even my own friends...Do you even think to care about me?"
"I-I do Y/N. Trust me, I do-"
"If you truly did, you wouldn't have said any of that shit about me in the first place. Now just drive. I want to go home." I said one last time, fixing myself to look out towards my window. The rest of car ride remained silent. Anakin wished me a goodnight as I was getting out of his car. But I didn't say anything to him and I slammed the car door shut in his face as I made my way into my shared apartment with Padme.
-
Just two days after that argument, Anakin had picked me up that afternoon, acting as if the argument that had occur two days prior didn't even happen. He took me to the pier to hang out with his some of his friends that day. After hanging out with them all day till sundown, Anakin had drove us to a parking lot right by the ocean. Knowing where it would lead to us, I had found my legs tossed over Anakin's shoulders as his strong hands gripped my thighs. Anakin was knee deep in the passenger seat as he ate me out as I moaned out his name and profanities. This was just how our relationship had come down to. When I would get upset at him or he would get upset at me, we would argue, and he would apologize through sex and act as if nothing happened.
I don't know why I kept doing this to myself. Why did I continue to stay with him if I already knew he didn't feel the same for me? Perhaps, I was just a loser. I guess the reason why I put up with it for so long was that I worried he would cut me off and the future that I had wished with him would disappear with him.
But that was thrown out the window anyways. I was at another frat party that Padme forced me to go with her. The last frat party I had went to was when I first met Anakin and Ben.
I was scanning the room only to find Anakin in the corner of the room making out with another girl. Anakin's arms trapped her in as her hands roamed all over his body. I stood there and watched in disgust and in hurt. How could he do this to me? I know we aren't dating and he's free to do anything, but why did it hurt so fucking much?
I don't know what got into me, but next thing I know I was making my way to where they were and confronted Anakin. The girl he had between his arms and had just slobbered his lips scurried away from me.
"Anakin. What the fuck?!" I said to him, now holding his arm so he wouldn't lose his balance. He looked a little tipsy and almost fell backwards if I didn't held him.
"What's your problem Y/N?!" He slurred as he shoved my hand off of him.
"You. You are my problem Anakin! How could you do this to me?! Why do you keep hurting me like this?!" I said as my voice started to crack. Tears started to form in my eyes as I balled my fists. I was furious with him.
Anakin stood there, trying to process what was going on before giving me a response.
"We aren't even dating Y/N! God. You are so infuriating. Just let me do what I want." He argued back, which set me off. Next thing I know, it became a screaming match. Both Anakin and I were yelling loud enough to make the people around us look at us with concern. Padme, Ben, and some of Anakin's friends made their way to the yelling and immediately recognized our voices.
Padme and Ben dragged me away from Anakin, who was be being held back by his roommates, Rex and Cody.
"You such an asshole Anakin! I hope-" My words were cut off when Ben put his hand over my mouth as he dragged my flailing body outside of the house.
Ben sat next to me on the porch stairs in front of the house as I was curled into a ball, crying into my arms. Padme sat next to me and embraced my form.
"Why does he keep doing this? Why do I keep doing this to myself?" I rambled on, continuing to sob into my arms. Ben and Padme looked at each other before Ben spoke up.
"Anakin is very stupid Y/N. It's frustrating that he doesn't realize what he has in front of him...I promise you, it's not you, it's him that needs to figure it out." Ben said softly, rubbing my back. Though Ben and I didn't talk to each other as much, he was very sweet and caring towards me.
"I think it's time you have to end what you and Anakin have going on Y/N...It's clearly affecting you. And it's clear that Anakin doesn't feel the same for you." Padme spoke up. She's right, I much as I hated her being blunt, she was honest and got her point across at least. Padme had put up so much with me when I came to her about Anakin. There were so many times where I had come back to the apartment in a sour mood after seeing Anakin and she would have to hear it from me the thousandth time.
"Can you just take me back home?" I whispered to Padme, who nodded in response.
"I'm gonna go check on-" Ben was cut off when he heard footsteps approach us. The three us turned around to see Anakin, Rex, and Cody towering over us.
"Um, Skyguy wants to talk to you." Cody cleared his throat. Padme looked over to me, to which I told her it'll be okay. Ben, Padme, Cody, and Rex made their way back into the house to give Anakin and I space.
Anakin sat next to me, as I quickly wiped away my tears. We both sat in silence before Anakin spoke up.
"I...I'm sorry Y/N." He said, fidgeting with his fingers, a habit he had whenever he was feeling nervous.
"It's..okay Anakin." I whispered out, looking down at my feet.
"Look...I understand that you probably wouldn't want to be friends anymore...But do know, that I cherished every moment I had with you."
I sat there, processing what he had just said. I didn't know what to say to him. I sat there thinking to myself, trying to find a response.
"Did you ever think about having a future with me?" I queried, now looking up at him. Anakin looked at me and didn't say anything. He stared at the ground, in deep thought.
"I did, and I still do."
"If you do, then what's stopping you from asking me to your girlfriend?"
"I-I don't know..." He mustered out. My heart was breaking at his responses. Why couldn't I have been more for him? Why can't he want me as much as I want him?
Nonetheless, his responses were all I needed to hear. Padme was right. The countless times she has told me to end this relationship and that I deserved someone better. Someone who was deserving of my love and would actually love me back.
I stood up from where I sat. Anakin looked up at me at my sudden motion.
"It was great while it lasted Anakin. I just wished you reciprocated the same feelings I have for you...I'll see you around." I said to him one last time. Anakin was about to say something, but I already had left him as I made my way back into the house to find Padme.
"Hey, you ready to go?" Padme asked me. I nodded in response. We both made our way out of the house and towards her car. Feeling that someone was watching me from afar, I turned around and saw Anakin leaning on the railing of the porch, staring back at me.
I gave him a small smile, to which he returned. I looked at him one last time before getting into the car. Despite it being nighttime, I could see the sadness in his eyes.
I let out a sigh as I buckled myself in.
"Are ya ready?" Padme asked me.
"Yes ma'am." I said, before we drove off back to our apartment.
This Wasn't The Plan (Former!Anakin Skywalker x Reader)
Angsty. Spoiler alert: main character dies
summary: When an old friend reaches out to you asking for help, but the mission doesn't go as planned.
This is set 9 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Your former lover, Anakin Skywalker, has turned to the dark side and had become a Sith Lord by the name of Darth Vader. But you don't know that. You believed in Obi-Wan's lie that Anakin had died on Mustafar and that the Republic had fallen into the hands of the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious who had created the Empire. The hunt for surviving Jedi ensues. This forces you and Obi-Wan to go your separate ways and into hiding to protect yourselves from the inquisitors who are on the hunt for the both of you.
I packed some rations in my bag, the last thing I needed before heading out. I looked at my lightsaber that was on my bed, deciding if I should bring it or not. After putting some thought to it, I sigh to myself, clipping it to the belt of my old Jedi robe I was currently wearing. I set out to meet up with Obi Wan at the coordinates he had sent me. It had been 9 years since I had seen my good friend. I didn't think he would ever contact me again, especially through the force. But apparently this was an urgent matter.
Obi-Wan told me there wasn't much information given to him when he reached out to me. Apparently he had gotten a holographic message from an unknown individual, saying that there were some former Jedis needing our help on the planet of Kashyyyk. I was hesitant at first about the mission, but he convinced me to come along with him. Plus, it's not like I had anything better to do with my life. I was a scavenger, I tore apart ships and weapons from the Empire and resold the parts to make a living off of them. I didn't earn much, but it was enough to keep me alive.
The Jedi had fallen years ago from Order 66. My masters, my fellow Jedi who I had trained with, the younglings whom I taught, most of them didn't make it from the purge--they were all killed. Anakin, the love of my life was killed right before the Empire had rose to power, I lost my best friend; Padme. Obi-Wan and I had gone our separate ways and went into hiding. Just when we thought everything was going well at the time, that glory had dissolved as if it were nothing.
There have been many times I had cried myself to sleep at the thought of losing Anakin. Part of me still believes that he's alive somewhere in the star system and part of me wants to believe what Obi-Wan has told me; that Anakin is truly dead and that I need to move on to live for myself. As much as I wanted to reach out through the force to him, I couldn't. I was worried that an inquisitor was nearby and could sense me. Or worse, the belligerent Darth Vader who has been in a pursuit of killing Jedi since they had they had fallen. I had to close myself off the force many years ago. Now that Obi-Wan needs me, this puts the both of us at risk of falling into the hands of the Empire and Darth Vader.
-
"It's good to see you again my old friend." Obi-Wan said, embracing me into a tight hug, to which I happily returned. Obi-Wan aged quite a bit the last time I saw him. The wrinkles around his eyes were prominent now, his beard grown out and untamed.
"And you as well Obi. Maker...it's been so long." I said, getting a little teary-eyed at our little reunion. Obi-Wan looked at me with sad eyes, nodding in agreement.
"Well, we have a long way to Kashyyyk, that should give us time to catch up Y/N." He gave me a small smile, as we made our way into his small ship, setting course to Kashyyyk to help our Jedi brothers and sisters.
"Do you have a plan?" I spoke up, breaking the long period of silence between us. Obi-Wan scoffed at my question.
"Well of course I do Y/N, you didn't think I would go in blindly would you?" He replied, smiling to himself. I snorted at his response, reminding me the many memories I have of him, Anakin, and I back in the days of the Clone Wars. Anakin and I were the ones that would go guns-blazing in during missions. Obi-Wan would always be the person coming up with the plans beforehand, to which sometimes Anakin and I did follow, sometimes.
Obi-Wan runs over the plan with me. The coordinates that he was provided had given us a location at a base in the lush forests of Kashyyyk. Apparently that's where the Jedi are said to be located. Once we land, we would split up to find any remaining Jedi and relocate them back to Alderaan. Obi-Wan had been in touch with Bail Organa since the fall of the Republic and had informed him about this mission.
The ship lands on an empty landing pad that was located outside the entrance of what looked like an abandoned temple. Obi-Wan and I exit out the ship, taking a look around our surroundings.
"I've got a bad feeling about this" I spoke up, scanning the environment.
"Meet me back here in an hour. If you can find any Jedi, we'll relocate them to Alderaan." Obi-Wan said.
"Sounds good to me." I responded. We both make our way into the temple, going separate ways once we enter.
-
The Sith Lord stands tall as he gazes at the stars through the windows of the ship. He ponders to himself, when all of sudden he felt something in the force. Assuming that the presence was belonging to his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Vader smiles to himself for being able to finally have Obi-Wan walk into his trap after what he had done to him all those years ago. But then he felt the pull become stronger and stronger by the moment. No... it can't be, the Sith Lord thinks to himself. It couldn't possibly be her. Y/N... You died 9 years ago. The remnants of your ship were in pieces when he had searched for you. You couldn't have survived the impact at the state of ship he found it in. When Anakin--Vader, had found the japor snippet that he had given you was on the ground, it pushed him further to believe that you had died on impact. He believed your clones got to you when Order 66 occurred. He blamed himself for causing your death. You deserved a better fate. But at the same time, he didn't want you to see what he had become.
Vader pushed his thoughts to the side. Still believing that you had died all those years ago.
-
A good amount of time had passed. I wasn't sure how long it had been but it surely has been over an hour. I hadn't seen any Jedi yet, yet alone any traces of any Jedi being here. Something isn't right, I know it isn't because the force has been trying to tell me something since we landed.
I felt another presence in the force. It didn't feel like it was Obi-Wan. I froze in place, hearing footsteps in the distance; becoming closer and closer to me. I turn around, igniting my lightsaber as I was met with an inquisitor standing behind me with their double-bladed lightsaber already ignited.
"Well, well, you're not definitely Kenobi. But I'll gladly take you in as well." The inquisitor said, stepping closer to me as I took a step back. I wasn't fit to fight them. It had been years since I last fought with my lightsaber. Without thinking, I immediately turned around and ran away from the inquisitor. I took out my comlink to get a hold of Obi-Wan as I ran to find the exit.
"OBI-WAN, IT'S A TRAP!!" I yelled into the comlink, but I was met with static in response. The connection wasn't strong, perhaps the inquisitors had intercepted our communication or the connection on Kashyyyk just wasn't as good.
I found myself in what looked like an abandoned throne room. I hid myself behind the throne, trying to catch my breath as I tried to disconnect my force signature so the inquisitor wouldn't find me as easily. I cursed myself for agreeing to come along with Obi-Wan on this fallacious mission.
As the footsteps of the inquisitor drew nearer and nearer to the room. I overheard the inquisitor's voice, as if they were talking to someone else. I peaked my head over the throne to see the inquisitor in the doorway talking to a holographic figure on their wrist.
"Lord Vader, it's important that you know that not only one Jedi has fallen into your trap but two." The inquisitor said boastfully, holding up a hologram of Lord Vader.
"Very well inquisitor. Locate them now. I will deal with Kenobi and his friend accordingly. I want them alive." Lord Vader's mechanical voice booming through the hologram.
"Yes my lord." The inquisitor turns off the hologram, scoffing to themselves and kicking a pebble off the ground. "Why do they matter to you this much?" the inquisitor says under his mouth.
I held my breath, hoping that the inquisitor doesn't walk into the room I'm in. When I don't see them in the door way I make a run towards the door, only to be stopped by the inquisitor.
"Nice try, but I have orders to follow Jedi scum." the inquisitor spat at me, blocking the doorway. I furrow my eyebrows, igniting my lightsaber again.
"You won't take me alive."
"I wish I didn't have to, but I have orders from Lord Vader himself." the inquisitors says before swinging their double-bladed lightsaber. Our lightsabers clashing with one another. I try catching my breath as I fight the inquisitor, but the 9 years without fighting, has made me lose some abilities in my Jedi skills.
"I see the years have not been kind to you. You're out of shape grandma." the inquisitor comments. I grunt in response and roundhouse kick the inquisitor, sending them flying across the room. The inquisitor gets back on their feet again and darts towards me.
Just when I think I can take them down, the inquisitor's blade makes contact with my shoulder. I cry out in pain as I'm thrown off balance. I step back, grasping my shoulder that was just cut. The cut was bright red and burning.
The inquisitor laughs at my pathetic state. Determined to take down this inquisitor, I run towards them with my saber. I was able to dodge their first swing, but on the second swing, the inquisitor's blade had found itself impaled through my stomach. I let out a gasp. The inquisitor looking surprised at themselves at what they did.
The inquisitor draws their blade back. My saber falls out of my hand and rolls away from me as my body hits the ground. I clutch the part of my stomach where I had been just stabbed.
I try to control my breathing as I watched as the inquisitor walk out the room without saying a word to me. The building starts rumbling, as if it was starting to crumble down.
Then next thing I know, I see Obi-Wan running into the room, running up to me.
"Y/N!" Obi-Wan kneels down and cradles me in his arms. He brushes a strand a hair away from my face, his hand now holding one of my hands.
"Y/N stay with me now. I'm gonna get you out of here." Obi-Wan looks at me and looks down at my wound. His eyes were filled with panic with the hole inside my stomach.
"O-Obi Wan, you have to go." I said weakly, looking at him.
"I won't leave you here Y/N." He responded, squeezing my hand and body tightly.
"Y-you'll die here." I said as the building starts to crumble piece by piece. Pieces of stone and debris falling from the ceiling.
"Don't say such nonsense, we have to go" He pleaded.
"Obi-Wan...My place is here.. and... he's here...I can sense him." I breathe out. The hole in my stomach making it harder for me to breathe.
Obi-Wan's eyes widen. He knew he was here as well. Obi-Wan was about to lift me off the ground until I spoke up.
"Leave me here Obi-Wan...Get out of here...S-save..your..self" I huffed out my last breath.
-
Your body goes limp in the arms of Obi-Wan. The last thing you saw was a dark figure, watching from the doorway before your body succumbed to your injury. Vader... You whispered under your final breath before dying in the arms of Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan lets out a strangled cry. He closes your eyelids as the feeling of guilt creeps up on him. But the mourning over his good friend was short-lived. Obi-Wan freezes in place as he feels Vader's presence nearby. When he looked up, he saw the Sith Lord standing by the doorway, menacingly. Obi-Wan, lays your body down on the cold stone floor, now towering over your body to square up with the Sith Lord.
Vader who had been watching the entire situation unravel, his breathing became heavier as he starts to hyperventilate. Causing the temple to shake even more, pieces of the temple fell down around them. He had felt you, he felt your pain. Your first cry was enough to have the Sith Lord come and look for you, but your second cry was enough for him to feel the amount pain you were in.
"What have you done?!" Vader's mechanical voice barked, echoing through the room.
"This was your doing Anakin!" His former master retorted. Vader slowly makes his way over to him, striding menacingly to where Obi-Wan and your lifeless body was.
Obi-Wan backs up away from Vader. Vader kneels next your body and touches the nape of your neck to find a pulse to confirm that you weren't dead, but it was too late. He clenched his fist and lets out a booming cry. Obi-Wan couldn't see it, but he was crying under the mask. The building continue to shake more under his agony.
"Leave. Now." He said, glancing back up at his former master. Obi-Wan was hesitant at first, but soon nodded in response and made his way out of the crumbling building towards his ship.
Vader scooped up your body and carried you bridal style out of the building, making sure to give you a proper burial once he landed on a planet worthy of your funeral. As he makes his way out, he and Obi Wan look at each other one last time before Obi-Wan takes off in his ship.
Vader boards his ship, laying your body down on the table. He takes off his helmet, revealing his long blonde locks and handsome face that were still in pristine condition. He examines your face for sometime. Forgetting how beautiful you were. The years have not been kind to you. He noticed how your cheekbones are more prominent now, perhaps due to lack of food and having to remain in hiding. He brushed your hair with his gloved hand and started whispering all the things he wanted to tell you. He wanted to start a family with you after the war was over, but it is far too late for that now. He wanted to raise his family on Naboo, or Alderaan. The life he dreamt with you, had diminished the day he founds the remains of your ship.
He started to feel guilty for being the reason of causing you a great deal of suffering and now, he was now the reason for your death. He sat next to your body and had held your left hand that still bore the wedding ring he made for you. You both had gotten secretly married on Naboo, just right after the Clone Wars had begun.
After a good amount of time had passed, Anakin--Vader had eventually gotten up from his seat and took off his cape to cover your body with it.
This wasn't how the mission was supposed to go. He didn't expect you to be here, let alone be alive. All he wanted was his revenge on Kenobi, but little did he know that you would be caught in the middle of it.
The guilt that Obi-Wan had felt was unbearable at first. He wished he didn't rope you into this mission. He didn't think for one second that this could have been a trap for himself and for the both of you. Obi-Wan lives out his days with a heavy heart for being the reason you died.
Vader spends the next several years alone, wondering about the day he will kick the bucket. It isn't until one day, a new hope emerges and relieves from him the dark side. Where he would redeem himself and be reunited with you as your force ghost had waited a long time for him to join you in the afterlife. Together, you both spend an eternity together without having to suffer ever again.
