ZODIAC KILLER FOUND? BY THE SAME TEAM THAT SOLVED THE DB COOPER CASE AND FOUND OUT WHO KILLED JIMMY HOFFA???

“I absolutely feel we solved this case,” Tom Colbert, a member of the Case Breakers, told The Chronicle. He said his team, which includes former journalists and law enforcement officers, has been investigating cold cases for 10 years and also believes it solved the D.B. Cooper robbery mystery and union boss Jimmy Hoffa’s murder.

“There’s no ego here,” he said. “We do this to solve cases.”

The other thing the Case Breakers claim, that they have "proof" that the Zodiac also killed a woman in Riverside, Cheri Jo Bates, in 1966, and that's been debunked by the Riverside PD. "Is there a chance that [Poste] killed Cheri Jo Bates? No," says Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback, speaking to the Chronicle today. “If you read what they [the Case Breakers] put out, it’s all circumstantial evidence. It’s not a whole lot."

I just really love the work the quotation marks are doing here.

The claim is speculative and should be taken with extreme doubt. One outlandish aspect of the claim that is difficult to verify involves the Case Breakers' source, who was allegedly "an outlaw-turned-whistleblower" who "tipped these developments to the team, led by retired FBI agents. The turncoat claims to have escaped from the Zodiac’s criminal 'posse,' roaming in the mountains for decades," the Case Breakers' website states.

It seems PRETTY unlikely that the Zodiac killer has been identified based on the forensic evidence of some old photos being compared to a police sketch and a cipher the Case Breakers claim to have solved that they've shown no proof of.
