drew up an old cartoon style interpretation of @synthaphone 's funny little clown fuzebox! I'm a big fan of their character design so this was a treat to do
I do not trust myself to remember or be able to upload these each day, in fact I already forgot two days, so we get the big art dump of my character Starlight for @catmask 's very cute brush week! Insight for each piece below the cut:
Day 1: Cosmic
Despite Starlight's name and design, I'm not actually a huge space person. Nonetheless, I tried my best. Comets, rings, swirls, all the classics, and of course that fun star shape! Fun fact though, I actually kinda suck at drawing stars. I'm too persnickety about the points being right and refuse to use a ruler. Tbh, I never even learned how to do that one-line star teachers always do until late highschool, and I still mess it up sometimes.
Day 2: Plushie
Starlight already looks like a plushie, so I really wanted to push it for this one. If it's not clear, there's a lot of inspiration from the plushie coloured neopets, I think mostly the blumaroo and lenny. One of my favourite aspects is the little hair tuft! I always thought Starlight would have a texture like early carebears or wuzzles plush, so it's fun to pay homage to it here.
Day 3: Garden
I was actually struggling with an idea for this one, and then decided to just take it easy and do a design based on the memories of when I was a kid helping my mom at the community garden, watching bugs, finding flowers, and learning the latin names for the plants. I actually wanted the wings to be a real species of butterfly, like a swallowtail, then pivoted to a cabbage white, and then altered the colours to pop more.
Day 4: Clean
When brainstorming, I first thought of a rubber duck-esque design, but was unsure how to get it to read, and then: Pool toy! Of course! It was actually really fun to draw and might be my favourite. The bandana is meant to be like a beach towel.
Day 5: Wretched
Just designed them like a little edgy deviantart hot topic creature. I enjoy the aesthetic and add little touches of it to a lot of my ocs, but I don't often go all in like this, so it was fun. I really like the little bat wings, I actually draw those all the time.
Day 6: Lagoon
I scrapped a beachcomber design once I thought to make them a mermaid, the prior wasn't really working and I couldn't pass this up. I'm actually a big fish enthusiast, and the tail/colour scheme is based on my favourite saltwater fish, the emperor angelfish
Day 7: Lovely
This was actually the first one drawn! It came very easy to Starlight's design, stars and hearts occupy very similar ecological niches. I went very valentines focused, again thinking of the neopets colour. I think this starlight would be a great valentines stuffie gift.
When i first saw the varwolf, the nose marking looked just like a little clown nose to me, so of course I made mine a clown... now they've released rainbow as a MORE clownish colour, so i edited the original to see if I should paint him.
Fursonas, Spookified.
I made these as badges for me and my friends at howloween this year. Theme was silver screen so they also have a black-and-white option.
Some drawings I've done for art fight! My laptop has been broken all month so I've been doing traditional ink pen drawings, It's been fun using them again!

I'm going to be trying to replace the battery, but I don't know how long it's going to take, so I'm limited to traditional art. Bit of a bummer since I was going to use this event to practice digital but... C'est la vie! C'est la goddamn vie!
