It’s sweet that you’re worried about me.
Hello. Welcome back.
TBBT: The Confidence Erosion (11x10)
If you haven’t watched, SPOILERS ahead.
FINALLY!!! It had been a long, dry road but the writers finally managed to bring Sheldon back (And with that, I am back form a long hiatus). I was afraid we had lost him forever for a version of earlier seasons. So after sharing with my squad, here are some random thoughts:
1. Sheldon and Amy bask in their glory
They feel (as they have let us know before) they are better then most couples at everything. Their confidence gets a boost when their scientific method of decision theory seems off to a good start. Seeing my OTP geek out about their wedding with excitement had me all fluffed up and smiling like an idiot too.
2. Sheldon and Amy have different ideas of what the perfect wedding is
The conversation gets heated and it is now an argument. Fret not - these 2 have such a chemistry that even when barking at the other it almost feels like they want to engage in frenzied love making. (I almost thought we would get another one of those #ForScience moments but no luck.)
3. Wedding Revenge Plans
Stubborn Sheldon is resolved on returning to the apartment and picking up where he left off. But Amy is not having it. Poor Sheldon’s snarkyness soon turns to real concern asking Amy:
“Are you saying you don’t want to get married?”
Amy, who’s dreamed of a wedding since she was a little girl, has decided that if planning the wedding will become the source of their issues, they may be better off getting married at City Hall.
“So let’s pick a day…” she says and receives a swift almost impulsive response from Sheldon… “How about tomorrow?”
Let it sink in. Sheldon is more than ready to marry Amy any day, any time, any moment. Sure he took long to propose but once he did, it was because he truly is ready.
BONUS: “Why wait? Is not that I think we are living in sin but I do like the idea that our next act of intimacy would be a legal requirement.” (#SheldonWantsLegalCoitus)
4. Sheldon and Amy arrive at City Hall
They could not look happier! But being unspoiled, my heart races at the thought that they are going to do this. Prayers start (Please, not another wedding fiasco. Please, not another quick-rushed/eloping/Vegas wedding. Not for my babies).
Amy is glowing and pretty in pink. Her smile is melting my heart. Sheldon seems comfortable too. Sheldon asks Amy if she is sad they are not having a big party seemingly out of nowhere. For a moment I see the sweetness of a Young Sheldon who is concerned about her feelings.
Amy loves Sheldon so much she was willing to give up on her dream of having a wedding. But as a dear friend @bigbangenthusiast responded back, Sheldon loves Amy so much he wanted to give her the wedding she deserved.
5. THE PERFECT SCENE!
An already perfect scene becomes a masterpiece when Jim and Mayim’s chemistry is combined with the honesty and rawness that these characters deserve. Every word cuts through with pure love and desire to make the other happy. Their eyes are engaged through the scene but more than that, so are their hearts. Sheldon comes to the realization that he wants a real wedding for them.
“Amy, I never thought I’d want to marry anyone - so the fact that I found you is astonishing.”
Sheldon says sweetly while comparing her to Dark Matter - a mystery and with the possibility of unlocking the explainable workings of the universe. What a metaphor!
He doesn’t stop there, in his science ramblings he takes her by the hands and pulls her to sit excitedly while he convinces her that…
“When you make a discovery like this, you don’t just take it to City Hall you tell the whole world!”
THAT’S MY REAL SHELLY! And he wants the world to know of their love. While they manage to make this scene funny at times, it does not take away from the real emotions at play. He pauses after laying down his points and telling her he wants to do this right. Like taken out of a fanfic, he stares into her eyes and softly places his hand on hers while caressing her arm.She agrees with him and they seal it with a sweet, sweet, tender kiss.
6. On their way out
He leads her by the hand and is totally flirting with her, These two made love all night and no one will convince me otherwise!
7. The rest of the stories
I was mesmerized by the Shamy story line but must mention the rest of the episode. I enjoyed it very much. I am glad to see the possibility of some character development for Raj. I just hope this change won’t be just external but that we get to see his character develop and possibly explore a relationship where he is not pathetic. I will say that I see Kunal more than Raj now and it will take me some time to get used to this.
Howard as always had me in stitches. I don’t know how it will be without him teasing Raj. I loved seeing Kevin Sussman as always. No one plays miserable and inadequate like him. I enjoy Penny and Leonard on scenes where they are not together, I am done with the put down jokes towards Leonard and as a couple. That is all I will comment about that for now.
Thank you as always to my dear friend @platypus-quacks-too for “the perfect scene” gifs. I can stare at them all day. I will read you all soon, Shamy-friends! Amy’s birthday is near!!! (crossing fingers and saying a prayer)
Awwwww I love 💕 the way he looks at her

Season 10, Episode 23: The Gyroscopic Collapse.
1. Sheldon referring to coitus as ‘making love’ for the first time. 2. Making sure Amy knew they weren’t having sex for the wrong reasons. 3. Being all adorable and shy as he talks about what they’re about to do. 4. Leading Amy on as they walk to their bedroom. YUP, I’m dead. Bye world.
the hotel has an on demand section called “mood” & these are the moods
