Here is a Public Service Announcement:
Mental health is nothing to be ashamed of.
Mental health is something that needs to be talked about
The stigma on mental health issues needs to go away
People are so worried about the stigma of having mental health issues that they donât ask for help when they desperately need it.
Too many people suffer alone and try to hide their pain.
Basically, in summary:
-Mental health is a serious topic that should be normalized and talked about instead of stigmatized and swept under the carpet. Â Never be ashamed to reach out for help when/if you need it. Â
I will repeat for those in the back:
Never be ashamed/embarrassed to ask for help
Mental Health stigma has to go
More people than you realize struggle with mental health and struggle alone because they are afraid to tell anyone because of that stupid stigma
Get rid of the stigma and more people will reach out for help before its too late
I can tell that my professor doesnât have ADHD.
I just told my dad and brother about this and my dad said âBut you do control your own motivation?â and my brother recoiled in horror so you can probably guess which one of them has ADHD

Rough Day To-Do List
(courtesy of an anxious, depressed, mildly ADD and OCD bitch--may not work for everyone, but hopefully will make you feel a tiny bit better!)
Stay hydrated (aim for 8 glasses, but itâs okay if you donât get there!)
Eat what your body wants (donât deny cravings, it will only make them worse)
Listen to music that makes you happy, or fits your mood
Take a nap (or at least dim your room and lay in bed for a while! itâs okay!)
Go outside and stand in the grass with bare feet (unless itâs too cold, then put on a sweater and let the chill make you feel alive :) )
Make some tea, coffee, cider, or whatever else makes you feel warm and comfy
Put on your favorite pair of socks! And your favorite underwear!
Take a really nice bath (or shower, if baths arenât your thing)
Masturbate (underrated)
Try to do an activity you enjoy (writing, playing an instrument, drawing, painting, photography, etc.)
Re-read one of your favorite books!
Spend time with a pet, or a beloved stuffed animal
Stretch (if you arenât feeling active, thatâs okay, but even a couple minutes of stretching is nice)
