cooper left the store, bags of ice cream in both of his hands. he loved hanging out with king, it was seriously one of his favorite pastimes. the other male was such a breath of fresh air and cooper honestly couldn’t get enough of him. as cooper neared king’s place, he sent the male a text, letting him know he was close and to prepare for the arrival. in few moments, cooper arrived at king’s door, adjusting the things in his arms to knock at the door three times. “kiiiiing! let me innnnnnnn!! don’t let the ice cream melt! i will never forgive you!” cooper exclaimed, playfully.

Since his drunken confession to Cooper, Zane has been avoiding him, something that hasn’t really been conducive to their let’s be friends agenda. He feels embarrassed, awkward, and doesn’t really know what to say to the other man. Enough time has passed that he’s now starting to feel guilty for ignoring Coop, so after his shift ends at Joey’s, Zane packs up Cooper’s usual order and heads over to his place, knocking lightly on the door once he arrives. “It’s Zane with an I’m sorry pizza! You don’t have to let me in, but at least take the food.”

Cooper hadn’t known what to say or do after Zane had confessed to him. He wanted to help, but he knew Zane didn’t want that. It was weird, not being able to help. But, Cooper didn’t want to make Zane uncomfortable, so he just kept his distance. Cooper’s eyebrows furrowed lightly once he heard the knock at the door. As far as he knew, he wasn’t expecting any company. However, when he heard Zane’s voice, coupled with his words, a gentle smile spread across his lips, moving to open the door for the other male. “An I’m sorry pizza? You didn’t..need to do that. You don’t have anything to be sorry for.” Cooper insists, shaking his head lightly.

“You’re just fine, Z. Again, it’s really no problem at all.” Cooper attempted to reiterate. He didn’t want Zane to think he was a burden, that wouldn’t ever be the case. The two walked down the street, finding Cooper’s car not too far away. Always the gentleman, Cooper pulled open the passenger side door for Zane. “Okay, here we go.” Cooper murmured softly, offering the other a soft smile.
