just rewatched this episode and…yeah oh man, I could not unsee this! the way Tom sits across from Richard, wincing and grossed out and uncomfortable and guilty as he eats.

and then later he wins that gruff fatherly pride from Wyck! this is such an episode about Tom's daddy issues!

God I love how normal and real everyone looks in Widow's Bay.

No painfully obvious plastic surgery, no blur filters, no uncanny white veneers.

Just regular looking people with wrinkles and gray hair and frumpy clothes

Her performance was so good that I watched it thinking "oh this actress must just be playing herself, it feels so natural" and then I watched an interview with her and it absolutely blew my mind
