remus not being able to afford any of them cause they’re all new releases and the hogwarts library doesn’t really have a huge selection of fiction so he almost forgets about the list
UNTIL the hogsmeade bookshop opens up a leave one take one book exchange and it’s filled with newer and older books many of them from remus list
so remus spends even more time in the gryffindor common room reading away i between assignments
what remus doesn’t know it that sirius found remus book list a few weeks ago when he accidentally stumbled upon it when he went to steal remus notes from a class he missed cause he was probably doing the fuck knows pulling off some prank with james
sirius knowing that remus would never take any money from him or even books if he were to get them for him, he’s proud like that
sirius sneaks off during their next hogsmeade tip and practically begs the owner to start this new book exchange and even offering to finance it himself, he makes sure most of the books from remus list is available
every hodsmeade weekend going forward sirius sneaks off to make sure there are new books for remus to check out from his list
he watched the delight on remus face everytime he opens a new book and starts the first paragraph, smiling to himself he goes back to his charms essay remus finished 3 days ago, james and peter exchanging knowing glances
