A cladogram of naturally evolved fauna in the eternal cylinder. There’s tons of gaps in the tree of life that we’re shown due to the extinction event caused by the eternal cylinder, but I found this surprisingly easy. This might not be very accurate since I grouped stuff based somewhat on their earth analogs, and without genetic testing we can’t know what is truly most basal or derived.
Leaf sponges are the most basal, since they’re sponges.
Next is a three way split between extremophiles, Cnidarian analogs, and everything else.
Probosctite and pyrophile fruits are the extremophiles, and I grouped as fauna.
The Cnidarian analogs are the polyps and the coral. The Angstok is grouped as a predatory coral.
Dendrospirals are colonial organisms but I was unsure if they would go in the extremophiles or Cnidarian analogs.
The tubular pod seems like an in between of basal simple animals and bilatarians.
The foosh seems like some basal bilatarian.
Everything else is grouped in the planet’s equivalent to bilatera, but their relation beyond that is often unclear. Earth bilaterians are put in one of two groups based on how they develop as a fetus (either butt or face first). Unfortunately we don’t know which end develops first in embryonic development for most “bilaterians” in the trebhum world, with the exception of the vertebrates which we know develop head first thanks to the Glickbol (which is the opposite of earth vertebrates).
The zooshgarg, squadaboo, and klaborok don’t have any living relatives.
The roondaslock I imagine is part of this world’s equivalent to echinoderms.
The yackfurt I placed as a possible relative of the grollusk who’s shell is large, fleshy, and still attached to the body.
The springworm and Grashtuub I placed together since they’re both tubular organisms with open digestive systems and four appendages, but I imagine their relation is much like that of a tetrapod and hagfish.
The arthropod analogs are grouped based on if their mouth parts are vertical or horizontal, with the fungulouse being an equivalent to a panarthropod.
Next are the vertebrate analogs, and the finned jumpfish deserves special attention since I placed it as a sister species to the “tetrapods”. However, their relation might be more akin to our relation to our extinct placoderm ancestors.
The tetrapod analogs actually started off with six limbs like the vuushlop (which I think has a species wide case of cyclopia). Later forms ditched a pair of limbs, which is where creatures like the sklaa and gaaahrs lie. Gaaahrs seem three legged and I initially put them with the leaptail, but it turns out they have hindquarters similar to earth mammals and two sets of lower leg retractor muscles on the back of their femur, so they might actually be four limbed with the hind two being fused.
Another group lost another pair of limbs, and this led to the Tonglegrop, trebhum group. Tonglegrops and Onkifurts are each other’s closest relatives since they both are two limbed, have a sack that dominates most of their body, and tentacles.
The onogrosh and tripobosh I put as a sister group to trebhums as they’re both bipedal two limbed animals with trunks.
Hophopops and omnogroms were a little odd. Both could lie outside of the vertebrates, with omnogroms being related to the arthropods based off the ancestor of them in this amazing anonymous submission. Or they could be incredibly derived vertebrates, with the omnogroms having a mouth so hypertrophied that it takes up almost all of their body, and that there’s vestiges of their torso and various vital organs in the joint between their lobes. And the hophopop could be similar, except so extreme that they’re literally split down the middle.
