“That means much coming from you.” He replied, smiling and looking at her finger. After he heard her critics about - what he tought STUNNING -the impersonation, Tristan looked in her eyes. “I think I am the best at impersonating so don’t you dare say I did it wrong.” He saw the bracelet on her hand and he stared to play with it, he always used to get nervous around Cora maybe just because he admired her as a role model. “I hope you know, I’ll nevet let you go again without telling me. I always wanna know if you are safe because you’re risking your life way too much.” Tristan sighed as he put his hand on her back. “ You know I could never get tired of you.” He bought another drink and offered it to Cora. “I don’t wanna get you drunk but I have to cheer for the fact that you’re back home.” Tristan smiled and then he kissed her on the forehead.
Maybe, one of the reasons that Cora ran could have been Tristan. She wasn't used to having a soul to care about her, and yet, Tristan had been there from the minute she had arrived in Eastland Grove all those years ago. The man had seen her at her worst, and her best, and that tended to scare her. "I think," she hummed, arching an eyebrow in his direction. "Your impersonations need a little work, Tris." Her eyes moved to watch where the man was playing with the bracelet and felt something twist in her stomach. Was he nervous? She couldn't tell exactly, but she knew that with his words she definitely was. "You should come with me next time." She said, brushing off the sentiments. "Who knows, you might love the adrenaline rush as much as I do." Feeling his hand on her back, she tilted her head to smile softly at him. "See? This is why I keep you around." Leaning into the kiss on her forehead, her eyes fluttered shut for a moment, warmth filling her for a second before she looked back at him, reaching for the drink. "Are you sure? I think you're just trying to get me drunk." She teased.
