I want to lick someone’s face…but there is no face to lick.
The black lion groaned in complaint, his system felt odd, like it was half shut off. Perhaps he had caught a virus. That was what he assumed, anyway. The allmate ran a few checks and establihed that upon installing the speech and personality, a thing or two snuck into his system. The lion let out a faint, complaint roar, licking his lips and laying down with a loud whump.
(( You don’t understand my love for AMVs where Aoba is doing John Mulaney stand up…it just fits him so well. ))
{ ♬ } —; “Who the hell is your owner?! They sound like a total piece of shit for treating you like that!” Well, like he said, he was intimidating, but only to those who first meet him. “Well anyways, I don’t find you intimidating at all. We just met, but you just look like a big fluffy stuffed animal. Despite being a lion, you seem pretty harmless.”
"Maybe it's bad you don't find me scary. My owner wants me to scare people. He wanted me to be as real as possible." He watched the other, studying the little bird carefully. It was so small in comparison to the lion, Welter found it fascinating. "If I keep it up, I'll be deactivated... and replaced."

{ ♬ } —; “Wow, it must’ve been pretty sucky to not have a personality. I really wouldn’t want to experience that shit.” Beni didn’t even want to think of not being able to talk. What if he had to chew someone out, because they were insulting Koujaku? “You must be pretty happy, huh? Y’know, to finally be able to speak your mind.”
"Not really- If I mess up, or disobey, I'll be shut down." He lowered himself to Beni's level, a bit of a sober expression on his face. He didn't really know what to think of it, really. "If I speak my mind, none will listen. To most, I am far too intimidating."
{ ♬ } —; “Whoa, really? That sounds fuckin’ weiiiird.” Never before had the red bird seen an AllMate with no speech software. What kind of owner does he have? “Well, how does it feel to finally be able to talk, eh?”
"Strange, I suppose." He responded, tongue gliding over his fangs, but his focus back on the little bird. "It isn't something that came across my mind earlier. I couldn't think, either. Not beyond basic computer functions, or anything of what a real lion would think of."

"Ahhh…right…." The blunet was terrified out of his wits, but at this rate he wasn’t sure how much longer he could take of the repetitiveness. It felt as if Berta’s eyes were piercing right through him, tearing him apart without any form of contact. Beads of sweat trickled down his brow, his heart rate rising as he extended a bony hand toward the remote.
He then tapped his palm to the base and slooooowly….agonizingly, began to drift it toward himself.
The lion allowed him to do so, only because his reaction was amusing, and because he actually had the guts to reach for it. Perhaps he shouldn't have given Aoba the liberty, after all, Trip and Virus refused to let the blunette make any decisions. But, perhaps, he could make an exception this once. After all, it was very entertaining.
"Good job," he congratulated with a more monotone voice than anything, and rested his head where the remote used to be, large paws on either side of his chin as he watched the television.
{ ♬ } —; “Oi, who’re you?” Well, the little red bird had never seen this AllMate before. He was quite intimidating, for sure, but perhaps they can get to know each other. For now, he’ll be cautious around this behemoth. “What’d ya mean ‘now that I can talk’? Haven’t you been able to talk ever since you were manufactured?”
"I am a custom allmate, my ownder demanded I only have basic function software installed. He recently downloaded speech, and personality software." He explained with a deep, intimidating voice. In comparison to the small bird's voice, it dwarphed the tiny sounds.
Slowly creeping forward, Aoba began to reach for the remote nestled between the allmates wide paws.
The lion gazed at the man, and noted the intruding hand. The lion opened his mouth to speak- unused to the concept of speech, still. “Get your hand away from that. I’m watching the show.” He growled, eyes going back to the television, which was playing Discovery channel.
The allmates deep, demanding voice shook the air with utmost intensity. Goosebumps rippled over Aobas frail and nude form, utterly terrified of the ebony lion. They had been watching the Discovery Channel for about three hours straight and it was at the point where it was boring the blunet to tears.
Also, since when did Berta learn how to speak? “Ahahaha… Hey, don’t you think I should get a turn to watch what I want?”
"No." The lion responded sharply, voice deep and rumbling, his piercing eyes making contact with Aoba's. "If you want to change it so bad, get the remote from me." He challenged, looking rather fierce. He normally wasn't mean unless Trip and Virus were there, normally, he was dull and much more animalistic than he behaved at the moment.

"Now that I can talk, perhaps I should talk to someone. How do I approach another allmate?" He pondered, head on his paws, ears back as he tried to think. He just recently had the software installed, but he was eager to test out his voice, and perhaps communicate with other allmates. He was no longer an empty shell, listening to the orders of a leader like a brainwashed soldier.
"Berta.. Come here." Trip points to a spot at his feet.
Berta walked over to his owner, and sat where commanded, looking up to the yakuza with lifeless eyes, ready to obey whatever his master commanded.
Trip found his way to the living room after getting his food and some cake for Berta before sitting by him and slipping him the cake. “Don’t look so pleased about this. It’s really nothing special and I can remove it.”
"Understood, master."
Berta's expression turned a bit somber, but he accepted the cake and ate it, taking large, clumsy bites. What would it mean to be turned back to what he was before? He wouldn't be able to think the same way, only compute. But at the same time, he missed the ability to not overthink, or consider things like this. Life was simpler. He couldn't figure out if this was to become a gift or a curse.

Trip starts turning off some of the monitors and unplugs his laptop from the large system before heading to the kitchen to grab some food from the fridge. “I will and can remove these programs at any point, should you become useless with them, or overly annoying.” He does warn. “So watch it. I’m being nice this one time.”
The lion continued to be lost in thought, and walked away from Trip. He made his way to the living room and settled on the couch, chin resting on the armchair, mind busy contemplating the technology installed. What would this mean when it came to communication with other allmates? With humans? How interesting a journey this would be...
Perhaps he should start by going to talk to some other allmates.
