Where will you adjust your Content Learning Reflection to strengthen your point?

I will talk about my reflections here I think to strengthen my point in my Content Learning Reflection, I’ll focus on providing more specific examples of how my writing has evolved. For instance, I can include a few concrete moments where I applied new techniques or took risks with my writing that paid off. This will help make my reflection more relatable and show exactly how I’ve grown. I also plan to dive deeper into how feedback has shaped my learning, providing examples of specific feedback I received and how I used it to improve my work. This will add more depth to my reflection and make it feel more well rounded. Overall, I would like to have better answers to what I write on my assignments.

Week 15 - Original Content Writing #2

What are you most proud of with your writing process?

I think that I’m most proud of how much more intentional I’ve become with my writing process. I’ve learned to take the time to plan, revise, and refine my work, rather than rushing through it. I’ve developed a better sense of structure and flow, which helps me organize my ideas more effectively. I’m also proud of how much more confident I’ve become in experimenting with new techniques and styles. Writing doesn’t feel as intimidating as it used to because I’ve embraced the idea that it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them. Seeing how much my hard work pays off in the finished product is really rewarding, and that’s something I’ve grown to value about the process.

What do you like most about your learning?

What I like most about my learning is how much I’ve grown as a writer. I enjoy seeing the progress I’ve made and how I’ve been able to apply new techniques to improve my writing style. It’s exciting to look back and realize how far I’ve come, not just in the technical aspects of writing but also in finding my unique voice. I also appreciate that this class has encouraged me to think more creatively and be more confident in expressing my ideas. It’s been a space where I can experiment, take risks, and push the boundaries of my creativity without fear of judgment. I’ve learned to approach challenges with a more open mind and to see feedback as an opportunity to grow. Overall, this journey has been empowering, and I feel more equipped to express myself in ways that truly reflect who I am. It's hard to do that honestly especially on a social media platform but it was fun.

What questions about writing skill development do you have?

Some questions I still have are: How can we maintain the writing skills we’ve learned in this class, especially if we stop using platforms like Tumblr? It seems challenging to hold onto those skills when we’re no longer practicing them regularly. I’m also wondering, what are some ways to keep improving as a writer after this class is over? For example, are there specific habits or tools that can help us stay consistent with writing? And how can we apply what we’ve learned here to other types of writing, like essays or research papers for other classes? I want to make sure the progress I’ve made doesn’t fade, but I’m not exactly sure how to go about it. @npfannen

Week 14 - Original Content Writing #3

Share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled. help us feel the feels

I was a big fan of Full House. It was one of those shows that always made me laugh and feel good because of the funny moments and the life lessons. When the show ended, it felt like saying goodbye to a family I had grown up with. Even though it wasn’t cancelled, I still missed having new episodes to watch.

I kept watching reruns and wishing there was more. When Fuller House came out, I was happy to see the characters again, but it didn’t feel the same. This experience showed me how much fans can care about a show and why they get upset when it ends or gets cancelled.

Share a section of your Design Project content. What is the work of this sample? How can we help you revise? 

Here are some of my Twitter posts examples:

This first post is talking about Purrlock Holmes but it is announcing when the episode will be out.

The second twitter post is an angry fan reaction to Purrlock Holmes being cancelled.

The last Twitter post is the company responding to the angry fans.

I think that some ways that would help me is do these post look real enough. Are they okay as Twitter posts. I did not know what to put as the profile pictures so I just put cats which relate to the show. Overall, I am wondering does this give off detective vibes or how could I improve this more.

Week 14 - Original Content Writing #1

Share an example of your favorite television show or movie - how does that show/movie help you work through this project and understand angry fandom? 

One of my favorite shows is Krypto the Superdog. I really liked watching Krypto and his superhero adventures with other animals. When the show got cancelled after two seasons, I was pretty upset because I felt it ended too soon.

Thinking about Krypto helps me understand angry fandom because it shows how fans get attached to characters and stories. When a show is cancelled ed, it feels like losing something special, and that can make people frustrated.

This helps me with my project because I understand why fans might react strongly. It’s not just about the show it’s about how much it meant to them.

what assignment questions do you have that will help you complete and revise successfully?

I have a few questions about the assignment:

Do the posts need to look very realistic? For example, while creating my posts about my show being canceled, I wanted them to look and sound authentic. However, is there a way to make sure the audience doesn’t assume they’re fake?

Also, you mentioned not writing an essay, and I hope I’m successfully moving away from just writing and adding more design elements to my projects. I’d also like to say that creating the Twitter posts using Canva was really enjoyable because it allowed me to express my creativity in the designs. Overall, I like this project it's quite fun to create and learn from along the way. @npfannen

write a style rule for creating a YouTube short video, why is this key for the audience to view it?

I think that if you’re making a YouTube Short, grab attention in the first 3 seconds with bold visuals, a strong hook, or an intriguing question, and keep the pacing fast to hold people’s interest. Shorts are meant for quick scrolling, so starting strong makes viewers stop and watch, and the fast pace keeps them hooked until the end.

Write a style rule for writing a short tumblr post - based on what you know so far, what is a key rule for getting notices?

I think that if you’re writing a short Tumblr post and want it to get noticed, start with a bold or relatable first line that hooks people right away. Just the authenticity that can spark some kind of emotion, will help keep the tone personal and more appealing. I think that also a little visual impact like formatting or emojis can go a long way too. Overall, its important to keep it short and appealing to the readers.

Explain the appeal of long youtube videos (10+ minutes), why do viewers watch? How do the creators make choices to engage the audience?

Long YouTube videos are appealing because they allow viewers to connect more deeply with the content they love. For example, creators like Jess Karp, BlackBean CMS, and Ten Hundred are so engaging because they dive deeper into their topics and make their videos feel personal. Jess Karp's calm energy and relatable stories make her art videos both inspiring and fun to watch. BlackBean CMS excels with clear, step-by-step tutorials that are incredibly helpful for creative web design. Meanwhile, Ten Hundred's bold style and playful vibe turn every video into a creative adventure. All three balance authenticity and value, which keeps viewers coming back for more.

I feel like I’ve been lacking the motivation needed to stay on top of my assignments. I plan to reorganize myself and create a new schedule to help me complete them on time. how did content creation go for you? What did you learn that will help you write about your tips & tricks?

Content creation was definitely a learning experience for me. I realized how important it is to focus on making things clear and easy to understand, especially when sharing tips and tricks. For example, I learned that visuals like graphs and charts can really help readers grasp information quickly, and organizing by themes rather than creators makes trends stand out more. I also discovered that keeping explanations short and using bullet points improves readability. This process showed me how much design and structure matter, and I’m excited to keep improving.

Post a tip or trick you are offering in your guide that is useful to all of us! 

One of the tips I’m including in my guide is to use graphs and charts to display metrics more clearly. Visuals make it easier for readers to understand results at a glance. I’m also suggesting organizing by strategy themes, like storytelling or interaction, rather than by creator, because it helps show cross-creator trends. Keeping explanations concise and using bullet points makes everything easier to read, too. I’m even thinking about adding QR codes that link to videos to make it more interactive.

I posted this image because I feel my How to Write Guide could use more design elements. I’m curious to hear what feedback I might get from my peers on this assignment. What assignment questions do you have that will help you complete the H2WG assignment successfully?

I know I received a lot of feedback on my How to Write Guide, but incorporating design into my assignment has been challenging for me. I often wonder how much design to add will it be too much? These uncertainties make it difficult. I wouldn’t say I’ve made a lot of progress yet, but I plan to continue improving my assignment. Overall, I’m happy with the feedback I received. I’ve attached a picture of my assignment, and it doesn’t include many design elements yet. I’m not sure if that’s okay, but I will definitely work on improving it. @npfannen
