Promised starter for @legacyofvader
All of them needed a break from working â especially Cuinn and Ren. They were the two that were constantly at work. Cuinn with his paperwork and training regime to uphold, plus his authoritive appearance to the Stormtroopers that he loomed over so much. Ren had nothing to worry about in that regard; he was âscaryâ looking (not to Cuinn), and he had the acceptance from Snoke on most parts. Cuinn did not see that as something to be jealous of; just something to keep in mind for the future.Â
Approaching Ren, thereâs one thing you needed to keep in mind: they kept to themselves in this relationship in regard to how public this was. Cuinn had no desire to show off to them (I mean, he wouldnât care if they did, but he was in no rush to show off Ren), and the idea that sooner or later Snoke would speak to them about this, was something that always sat at the back of Huxâs mind. Not for being worried about possibly being âexecutedâ, no. He kept it in the back of his mind because, well, he ENJOYED spending time with Ren. Cuinn held a big admiration for Ren, and being able to kiss the man and be intimate with him was just a bonus.
At this point, they are past the first date. Their first date was, well, it could be considered a date, you could say. Even the most evil people have a desire to date, you know? Once heâs before Ren, Cuinn raises a hand and presses a hand to his shoulder, letting out a deep breath. His fingers curling inward and into the fabric that covered Renâs pale skin. Mask on or off, Cuinn was pleased with Renâs presence. âRen..â Cuinn mutters, keeping a distance between them. âI would like you to assist me on a walk.. as today is [surprisingly] a slow day, I wish to spend some of it with you..â
â It was not unusual for the general to approach him as the nights wore on. The fewer the troops that were around, the quicker Cuinn would come running to him. It was sentimental. Almost more so than Ren was comfortable with. Between his continued training in the ways of the dark side and Huxâs persistence in keeping the First Order a well-oiled machine, he was surprised that theyâd found time for each other to grow closer. It was all a complicated mixture of emotion for Ren. His learnings were ones of passion, though he had never actually factored the prospect of âloveâ into them. Even then, to say that Kylo Ren was âin loveâ with Hux, well, even that mightâve been a stretch. They were partners; who happened to build a rather close bond with each other during the destruction of Starkiller Base. After all, it was the general that personally pulled him from the exploding base. Even if he had been commanded to, the action proved that maybe Hux wasnât as cold-hearted to Ren as heâd thought. If there had ever been a chance to kill him; heâd missed his shot.
Huxâs tone was more hushed than usual, and his fingers clutched to the fabric in a way that made Ren unsure if it was wise to pursue him tonight. Whatever the situation, Ren surely had the power to sway Cuinn one way or another. He breathed a soft sigh, muttering under his breath. âVery well, General. Please. Lead the way.â He was thankful for the mask that adorned his head. It kept out invasions of his privacy. Hux was incredibly talented at reading the emotions on Renâs face. Ren had taken to guarding himself even more closely when he was around the General in public. âWhat brings you to my sector this time, Hux?â He said, his voice masked by the apparatus. âNot feeling particularly lonely, I hope.â
