After years of saying I was going to do it, I finally have headshots for all the Veronaville premades. Not only that, but I ended up redoing all of the screenshots with more accurate renditions of certain sims (mostly some ancestors, but also Cordelia, Caliban, and Hero). A big thank you to carrit on MTS for most of these recreations, as well as Khaemwaset for the new Eleanor Anjou.
I'll be spending the next couple of days updating the images in my older entries. I've reworked all the previews, visual profiles, and "lines of descent" so they all have the updated recreations. In the meantime, I'm going to leave some images showing how the some of the new templates look compared to the old ones.
Hi everyone! I made a buttload of H&M defaults over the years, so I figured uploading them in bulk would be the way to go. With that in mind, it should go without saying that each replacement requires the H&M stuff pack.
All of these defaults are for YF/AF sims and they have all morphs included. They should all be enabled for both everyday and maternity; however, I've included optional files with additional categories when I felt they were appropriate (I'll mention each instance as I go along). The number of recolors vary across the board, though they should all be included in the preview images. Things for other ages and more YF/AF dumps are in the works, so stay tuned for those. <3
As usual with these kind of things, I've added a "read more" to save space on your dash/the tags.
First up is AFBodyAdamTopJeans replaced with LoosiaP's Teekalu rcs on Moyokean's 4t2 EP06 Jumpsuit.
You can download the replacement here!~
Next is AFBodyBrunoJacketAnimalTop replaced with 4t2 EP12 Jacket Oversize (or Oversize Jacket, I'm not sure which). v1 is PlatAsp's take on the outfit, whereas v2 is SkittlesSims's. For those of you interested, I've included optional files that will enable your preferred version as outerwear.
You can download v1 here and v2 here!~
Then there are some replacements for AFBodyCorsetTankShorts and AFBodyDaisyDressBoots.
The CorsetTankShorts outfit is replaced with DeeDee's 3t2 Lacey Romper Retreat. @loosiap made a similar replacement with a slightly different color palette. I left a link to their default just in case you liked the idea, but prefer yellow to pink.
You can download the replacement here!~
The DaisyDressBoots outfit is replaced with Sanneke's Jeans Edit of Rented-Space's 3t2 Daisy CountryShirtDress. I already made a replacement using Rented-Space's original conversion here, but I thought the jeans were a neat idea, so I think of this as something for the colder seasons. Because of this, I've also included an optional file that enables this replacement for outerwear.
You can download the replacement here!~
I've also created three replacements for AFBodyDressMosaic.
The first two are the leftover recolors for dresses I previously used as maternity defaults, whereas the last one is something I don't think I defaulted before.
Option 1 is Sundried's The Lion's Roar
You can download the replacement here!~
Option 2 is Amaryll's Papillion Dress
You can download the replacement here!~
Option 3 is Kairisu's 4t2 Joliebean Strawberry Dress. Unlike the other two, this one is also available as formalwear.
You can download the replacement here!~
AFBodyEthnicBlouseCapris replaced with Trapping's Put on a Happy Face. The original outfit has three solid recolors, and three patterned ones. As such, it should come as no surprise to anyone that I defaulted both. For those of you who might want this as outerwear, I've included additional files in the download.
You can download v1 here and v2 here!~
And here's a whopping five replacement options for AFBodyGraphicDress.
The weird numbering is because I've already replaced this outfit with something else in the past. There are other defaults in this collection that use the same system, so I figured I'd mention it now.
The "2" replacement is Marja's fullbody edit of their 4t2 Sentate Lana Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
The "3" replacement is Amaryll's Secret Garden Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
The "4" replacement is Lemon-Lime-Sims's CandyDrops Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
The "5" replacement is Kotangens's Panda Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
The "6" replacement is HMCB96's mesh edit of Moyokean's shoeswap of Rented-Space's 3t2 Anubis Flower Dance Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
AFBodyJenniferDrsPumps replaced with Needlecream's Sweater with Stradlin Boots. Like with some of the defaults shown above, this one also has an optional outerwear option included in the download.
You can download the replacement here!~
And here's two replacements for AFBodyPerditaDress.
The "2" replacement is Vulrien's Rachel Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
The "3" replacement is Keoni's 4t2 Cloudcat Summer Garden with Shenanigan Heels.
You can download the replacement here!~
I've also included optional files that enable each replacement as formalwear.
Then there's three new replacements for AFBodyPolkaDotMiniDress.
"2" replaces the dress with MissTiikeri's Dotted with Hearts.
You can download the replacement here!~
"3" replaces the dress with DeeDee's Wide Sleeve Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
"4" replaces the dress with Curiona's Funny Girl.
You can download the replacement here!~
Moving away from dresses for a sec, I've made some replacements for AFBodyTankBerlinPants.
Option 1 is Goat's AFCapCapri.
You can download the replacement here!~
For option 2, I've provided a choice of two LetoMills tanktop outfits.
Version 1 is the "Tank Io Jeans Outfit," whereas version 2 is "Tank Io Jeans Caballeros." As usual, I was being indecisive, so I ended up picking two colors from each and defaulting both.
You can download v1 here and v2 here!~
Last, but certainly not least is AFBodyToulonDrsHeels replaced with PlatAsp's 4t2 Mary Sims Daisy Dress.
You can download the replacement here!~
Big Thanks to (please let me know if I missed anyone or their Simblr):
In honor of Halloween, I have a few spooky defaults to share!
First up, two things for your grand vampire girlies. AFBodyDressMedieval replaced with either DeeDee's 3t2 The Archduchess or RascalCurious's recolors of DeeDee's Dolores Gown. As these replace the contessa's dress, I had Veronaville's Contessa model those two specifically.
Both replacements are for AF (and maybe EF?), they come in three colors, are everyday and formal (?), and have all morphs. You'll need the Nightlife EP installed for either replacement to function properly. The contessa's outfit is usually hidden, but I unhid it so your sims can wear it (but it's still townie-disabled).
You can download the "Archduchess" replacement here, and the "Dolores" one here!~
Big Thanks to:
@deedee-sims for converting the "Archduchess" dress to TS2 and for putting together the "Dolores" gown.
@rascalcurious for the "Dolores" recolors
@mdpthatsme for the "Dolores" lace
@platinumaspiration and @linasims2 for some of the "Dolores" mesh parts
@sentate for the original TS4 "Elphaba" dress used for mesh parts
EAxis for the original TS3 Archduchess
And something for your witches. AFBodyWitch, AMBodyWitch, EFBodyWitch, EMBodyWitch, TFBodyWitch, and TMBodyWitch replaced with Rented-Space's 4t2 GP12 Long Jacket Tucked Edit.
These defaults are for teens, adults, and elders. All ages use the same three colors, they're everyday only (?), and have (mostly) appropriate morphs. You'll need the Apartment Life EP installed for these to function properly. Also, I believe the original EAxis witch outfits are hidden, but I know these replacements are unhidden (but still townie-disabled).
You can download them here:
AF | AM | EF | EM | TF | TM
Or, if you'd prefer, you can download some combined files here:
According to Patrizio, Scribonia was the scariest member of the Capp family by far. In fact, each time Isabella referred to Contessa Capp as a "Machiavellian Nightmare," Patrizio would retort that Scribonia "would have given Machiavelli nightmares."
I have some more defaults for everyone! I was thinking of what to post, but then I realized I had some cute toddler dresses I've yet to share.
Pictures, descriptions, and links under the "read more."
First up is a default for PFBodyDress using Kalux's 4t2 Powluna Nora.
It's for toddler female sims, comes in the two colors shown above, is available as everyday only, and doesn't require any EPs or SPs to function properly.
You can download the replacement here!~
Big Thanks to:
@kaluxsims for converting the dress and shoes to TS2
@deedee-sims and @megamassikalove for the sleeve parts
@mdpthatsme for the 4t2 conversion archive
@powluna for the original TS4 dress and the textures on the blue dress
bloomful-ccfinds for the textures on the heart dress
EAxis for the original TS4 shoes
Up next is PFBodyOverallSkirt replaced with WeBluePeace's 4t2 Dress Overall.
This replaces the dress Pauline Aspir wears when you first play Desiderata Valley, and I believe she'll be in the dress on Regan if you haven't made her over already.
Also, Nox/charmingplumbob/acid-cactus made a similar default using this outfit. There are some differences between our two replacements, so I linked their version in case you liked the dress, but wanted a different color palette.
Anyway, these are for toddler female sims, they come in the four colors shown above, are available as everyday only, and require the FreeTime EP to function properly.
You can download the replacement here!~
Big Thanks to:
@webluepeace for converting the dress to TS2
EAxis for the original TS4 dress (and the shoes?)
Finally, I've replaced PFBodySundressSleeves with Keoni's 4t2 EP11 Dress Ruffle.
It's for toddler female sims, comes in the three colors shown above, is available as everyday only, and doesn't require any EPs or SPs to function properly.
This week's Headcanon Humpday is about how I interpret each modern day premade's opinion on the feud. For more information as to how I view each individual sim's role, feel free to shoot me an ask. I'd go into more detail here, but I don't want to make this too long.
For those of you wondering what the tier names mean, I defined the terms in a previous essay. That said, I've provided some truncated definitions below for those curious. They're pretty self-explanatory, but there are some intricacies that separate one role from another.
Aggressively Major Players typically hate members of the enemy family on principle. They're often the ones who initiate disputes, which likely earned them a few enemies in return.
Passively Major Players need additional reasons to hate members of the enemy family, but they aren't really willing to make amends either. These sims are more reactionary than their aggressive counterparts. While they consider some sims on the other side to be enemies, having sims hate them in return is optional.
Minor Players are willing to befriend sims on the other side. That said, because they either hate, and/or are hated by sims on the other side, they don't qualify as Anti-Feuders.
Anti-Feuders hold no animosity towards members of the rival family, and nobody on the other side hates them in return. They are either willing to befriend sims from the other family, or already count them among their friends. Despite not being part of either feuding family, the Summerdreams are all Anti-Feuders, as all four sims have friends and lack enemies on both sides.
Undecided just means that sim hasn't formed any opinions on the feud yet.
EMTopDressShirt replaced with PlatAsp's 4t2 EP11 Shirt Work and Mikexx2's recolors of said shirt.
It's for male elders, comes in the eight colors shown above, is available as everyday only, and has a fatmorph. As the top is shipped with the base game, you don't need any EPs or SPs installed for this replacement to function properly.
Okay, I'm confused. So I began working on a new default replacement, one that uses a file that has been put through @picknmixsims's repository wizard. The standalone files using the adult mesh, as well as the combined ages file, both work perfectly. The only problem is that the individual teen file didn't show up in bodyshop. While this might not be a huge deal in this case, as I could just not upload the files for teen sims this time, I worry that this might become a problem in the future if I create a default that only uses one of the repo'd ages (i.e., a default for either teens or elders that relies on the adult files to work).
I attempted to reverse-engineer my default using the repository wizard, and tried to do the same with the original custom file. Unfortunately, my default attempt resulted in all replacements using the exact same texture, whereas the wizard couldn't recognize the DBPFs in the custom attempt. At this point, I'm wondering if I need to copy the custom file's resources into a new package, make said package standalone using the wizard, then redo the parts that were messed up? Idk, I downloaded the DBPF viewer just in case, so hopefully I can figure out why I'm driving the struggle bus on this one.
Okay, small update. I tried running the Repo Wizard yet again , this time starting with the entire folder setup instead of just the teen one, and I got the same error message about there not being a DBPF file inside. I don't know if this has anything to do with my CC being on an external drive to save space, or if it's because Proto-Charlotte's date and time settings are all messed up, or if I screwed up when configuring the wizard itself (the tutorials I used to set the paths didn't match up with what was on my screen, so I don't know if that means anything).
Also, I looked into the DBPF viewer a little more, and I discovered that it's not meant to support 3IDRs, TXTRs, TXMTs, or any of the resource types used to default clothes. While I'm sure it might be useful in the future, I can't use it to solve this problem.
Honestly, I'm kind of at a loss rn about what to do. I downloaded a standalone version for the time being just so I can solve one problem, but the bigger problem is just as big as ever. I really don't want to be a bother, but I'm greatly considering reaching out to other defaulters, or people who know the repo wizard inside and out, to see if any of them might know what I'm doing wrong.

As mentioned in my Gen. 5 summary, one of my planned extra entries involved creating an alternate genetic profile for Hermia. Well, without further ado, here it is!
It’s been brought up a few times on here that there’s evidence that Hermia was intended to be Regan and Cornwall’s child earlier in development. With this in mind, I will be treating her as such for this particular profile, as I feel doing so is essential in determining whether this genetic profile has merit.
Contessa and Consort Capp would still be her maternal grandparents in this scenario; however, her paternal grandparents would have been Hamlet Jr. and Tobea Dane, rather than Prospero and Sycorax Gale. To that extent, her maternal great-grandparents also remain intact, as Scribonia and Octavius Capp, and Andromache and Hector Thebe retain their places on her family tree. That said, because Cornwall is a third generation sim when going by his ancestry, Hermia now has paternal great-grandparents, those being Hamlet Sr. and Gertrude Dane, and Macduff and Lady Scott. Finally, Cleopatra and Antony Capp, Calpurnia and Julius Caesar, Queen and Eetion Thebe, and Hecuba and Priam Albion all reprise their roles as Hermia's great-great-grandparents.
Hermia Capp's Alternate Genetic Profile
Given Cornwall’s bio implies that Hermia was a minor when she was supposed to be his and Regan’s daughter, it’s safe to say that this incarnation also lacks descendants. As such, this genetic profile will not be brought up again unless I cover it later in another extra essay.
Skintone
Unlike what we see in the final product, this Hermia is the S1 child of two S1 parents. As such, her skintone still makes perfect sense.
Since Contessa’s previously unrecognized skintone has since been patched, we are able to trace the same three lines of descent where Hermia's skintone was expressed for five generations. Additionally, had Cornwall been Hermia’s father, there would be yet another line through the Scott family where the trait was displayed on four generations worth of sims.
The Caesar (A), Thebe (B), Albion (C), and Scott (D) lines. While one of Hermia's S1 paternal ancestors is absent from this image, all of Hermia’s maternal S1 ancestors were members of, or descended from, at least one of the first three aforementioned branches.
Hair Color
As discussed in her genetic profile, Hermia's hair color isn't consistent when looking at both her in-game appearance and the game's programming. With that said, I will be analyzing both options in an attempt to explain how they might work with this ancestry in mind.
Option 1: Red!Hermia (with Regan and Cornwall as her parents)
If Hermia was a redhead with a blonde mother and a black-haired father, one of their genetic codes would have to contain that specific unexpressed allele. While Cornwall having an unexpressed recessive allele is necessary to explain how Hermia could be have red hair, none of his ancestors possessed that particular color. While it’s not impossible for Cornwall to be the source of the trait if we incorporate hypothetical genetics, I think it’s something we'd be better off putting a pin in for now. Ultimately, definitively determining Cornwall's unexpressed allele isn't necessary at this point, as there's a strong case to be made on the other side of her family tree.
Unlike her husband, Regan has one known red-haired ancestor in the form of Queen Thebe; however, because her elder sister was programmed to have red hair in SimPE, Regan passing down a hypothetical red allele to Hermia wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility.
Despite having red hair in the game, Hermia’s SimPE data lists her as a blonde. Had Regan and Cornwall been her parents, she would have been the blonde daughter of a blonde mother and a black-haired father. Were this the case, then she would have inherited Regan’s expressed hair color.
Option #2: Blonde!Hermia (with Regan and Cornwall as her parents)
Like in her original profile, we are once again able to trace the source of Hermia’s blonde hair back to three of her maternal lines:
Three different straight lines of descent showing how Hermia’s SimPE locks could be passed down through five consecutive generations. That said, none of these lines are immediately obvious to the player, and Andromache’s genetic profile shows that she could have just as easily been a natural redhead.
While it’s easy to tie Hermia’s hair color to Regan, it doesn’t explain how Cornwall could have fathered a child with a recessive hair color. That said, looking at his ancestry shows that both of his grandfathers were blonds, so it would be possible if he had one of their alleles.
Hermia's great-grandparents if Cornwall was her father.
Despite each of their fathers having blond hair, both Hamlet Jr. and Tobea had dominant hair colors.
Given that Cornwall inherited black hair from his father's side of the family, we now know that any blond allele would need to be passed down by Tobea Dane, who would have received her allele from Macduff Scott. This means that, had a blonde Hermia been Cornwall’s daughter, then the latter would have had an unexpressed blond allele in his genetic code. This, combined with Regan's blonde hair, means Hermia's blonde tresses could have been homozygous if she was Regan and Cornwall’s daughter instead of Cordelia and Caliban’s.
After looking at both options, we now know that Hermia would have ultimately worked as Regan and Cornwall's daughter with either hair color. That said, I personally believe that she would have made more sense as their daughter if she was blonde, if only because that option relies on fewer hypotheticals than the alternative.
Eye Color
In contrast to her original genetic profile, this incarnation of Hermia would have been the grey-eyed daughter of two grey-eyed parents. While this combination works on paper, we have to take some steps to explain how they work in practice.
As mentioned before, Hermia’s grey eyes appeared spontaneously on the Capp side her family tree. Given that the similarly grey-eyed Regan is Hermia’s maternal aunt in the final product, this problem would apply to her regardless of her role. When looking at Contessa’s ancestors, Scribonia was the grey-eyed daughter of two brown-eyed parents. In this case, there would have needed to be two recessive alleles in the mix, and at least one of them would have been grey. As for Scribonia’s husband, Octavius should have logically possessed an unexpressed grey allele in his genetic code provided we assume his light blue allele came from the dark blue-eyed Calpurnia, rather than the grey-eyed Julius.
On Consort’s side of the family tree, his grey allele could have hypothetically originated from one of three grandparents. That said, we can only go so far when it comes to definitively narrowing the source down.
Eye genotypes for Consort Capp’s Grandparents. As mentioned in Hermia's original profile, I’ve already covered this table numerous times, and I’m tired of repeating myself ad nauseam.
Unlike Regan, whose family tree has multiple sims with recessive alleles, Cornwall’s only known ancestor with a recessive eye color was the grey-eyed Hamlet Sr. That said, when going over his genetic profile, we discovered Cornwall’s grey eyes only make sense if Tobea passed down an unexpressed recessive gene that originated from Lady Scott. While we can’t ascertain what color the allele passed down was, the fact that it’s recessive doesn’t change that it should have been possible for Hermia to inherit grey eyes from either, or both sides of this family tree.
As a Whole
Hermia Capp’s other filled-out genetic profile. Like her canon profile, all of her traits make sense. That said, both her hair colors and eye color either require hypothetical genetics, or require certain traits being silently passed down the appropriate family lines.
And that's it! All things considered, I think Hermia's genetic profile works with both sets of parents. That being said, there are certain elements that fit better with one couple than they do with the other, and I intend to compare and contrast them sometime in the future.
Hi, what career role would Bianca have in the Monty restaurant?
Hi! Thanks for the ask!
I think she's usually a hostess when I find her a job in the culinary track, but I tend to look at that position as a temporary thing. Ultimately, I think Patrizio and Isabella hope she'll eventually take on a leading role, but I don't see them as the types to engage in obvious nepotism. Instead, they'd want their descendants to work their ways up just like any other employee.
All in all, Bianca's strengths are pretty middle-of-the-road compared to her brothers, who are (or were) more specialized in one area. I felt like Antonio (who has a maxed cooking interest) would end up in charge of the food, whereas Claudio (who had a maxed money interest) would have managed the finances had he not died. The more I thought about Bianca's role, I eventually concluded that, of the ABC Montys, she would be best suited to working directly with the staff. This is also because she's more outgoing than Tony and nicer than Dio, so I find she'd be a more natural fit compared to either brother.
With that in mind, I think she would have eventually dipped her toes into the financial side of things after Claudio's death. At the same time, I think she and Tony might have split some of their duties amongst themselves, if only to keep each other from being too overworked.
When it comes to Bianca's career title, I could see her ending up the Executive Chef, a Restaurateur, or even a Celebrity Chef if she really wanted to. I think she has a lot of options, but it all really depends on how she wants to utilize them.
I've been thinking a bit about the six recently deceased sims, and I remembered that Claudio was the only one pre-programmed with a job (Sous Chef). That said, I actually have job headcanons for the other five, so I thought I'd share them.
Capps:
All of the deceased Capps worked for the family business (which I call Capp & Daughters Corp.).
Caliban: Mailroom Technician
Contessa: Business Tycoon
Cordelia: Executive
Montys:
Olivia: She worked from home as a freelance artist of sorts. She would sell paintings, pottery, and sewn items that she created in her studio.
I brought Proto-Charlotte (my old Simming laptop) in to an IT to see if I could get my stuff off. Well, I not only managed to get my old, unshared defaults safely onto one of my external drives, but the old computer got resurrected in the process!
Nevermind, false alarm, feel free to discount the "flailing Kermit gif" posts. It turns out the files and my computers are both fine. I just likely never defaulted anything that was put through the repo wizard before. It's definitely going to be a learning curve, but I should hopefully be back in business soon with some new defaults.
Huge thanks to @deedee-sims for pointing this out, as I probably would still be scratching my head and/or downloading standalones I didn't need otherwise.
I was just checking a little more, and it looks like it's only stuff from 2024 (maybe around May or so?) onwards. Not only that, but it seems to only happen with certain creators' things (unfortunately some of them only provide repo files). I could have sworn I defaulted some of the affected stuff already on my old computer, but I might be mistaken...
