Wow I really love the episode where Vlad takes Dani to Hawaii under the guise of a family vacation, but he's actually just there to steal a ghost artifact that recently phased into the real world, because of course he is! And the Mansons happen to be in Hawaii at the same time, so Sam & Dani friendship! When Vlad inevitably unleashes chaos and destruction (turns out that artifact was keeping a huge volcanic ghost from obliterating everything) they go stop him. (And he's a teensy bit sheepish about the whole debacle because Dani is mad at him for,,, some reason) Vlad, despite everything, still refuses to give up the artifact, so Sam promptly does what she's been dying to do since learning Vlad was there, suck him into the Fenton thermos. Then she and Dani go save Hawaii, yada yada, Vlad walks away empty handed with a terrible crick in his neck from being imprisoned in a soup container, Dani finally gets the vacation she wanted, and everyone pretends that Hawaii didn't turn into a post apocalyptic ghost-zone hellscape for fifteen minutes. 10/10 episode would hallucinate the entire thing again 👌👌👌
In my AU, Dani will assist in her dad's less evil, more obnoxious schemes every so often and it always results in Danny kicking both of their butts to varying degrees (if you're a Masters, you're cringefail. I don't make the rules lol)
Ghost hunting doesn't pay the bills, so what's a late-20-something halfa to do to get by?

Obscure-ish details that I'll clarify:
There are intentional innaccuracies to some of his products. The Danny Phantom origin comic was written by Danny, slightly drunk, while he was on call with the rest of team Phantom. It's art was made by Dani, and it was edited by Lancer!
Lancer also makes novelisations of Phantom's fights with intentional inaccuracies written in. On the cover of his version of Reign Storm, for example, he has the Crown of Rage and the Ring of Flames. They're also palette swapped.
Danny is the Ghost King, but that doesn't pay either. He wears the ring and the crown appears as a tattoo in his human form.
He sells mugs with his logo on them, cheap plushies of himself, regular thermoses that look like his own, Fenton Portal inspired picture frames, Phantom costumes- etc.
Danny is not allowed to sell heavy, offensive weaponry on account of the Incident.
He also sets up little attractions, and holds Amity Park tours in nice weather.
I really like considering what non-Phantom-Planet-compliant Danny's adulthood must look like if he was stuck defending Amity Park from ghosts, and how he'd balance working full time with being a flight-risk. He could never really be a reliable employee, so... Why not own and operate your own business? Who's going to fire you for chronically being late or taking too much unscheduled leave?
This AU idea is inspired by those "I survived my trip to NYC" shirts, and Danny's annoyance in Reality Trip when he finds someone selling bootleg comics about him. I figured it'd be pretty funny if he decided to capitalise on his likeness.
And its also inspired by Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls. Danny fully would lean into the tourist trap vibe in an effort to blend in with his family's shakey reputation. Plus- an obvious con-man couldn't possibly be connected to the good and virtuous Phantom, could he?
It'd be even better if Amity Parkers kinda resented him for it :3c

A/N: Welcome to the 2nd chapter of my AU retelling of Urban Jungle! For those who don't know, this comic is part of an AU that takes place during Danny Phantom's 3rd season. Prior to this AU season, Kindred Spirits did not happen because Vlad became attached to Danielle and chose her over the prime clone. She was then introduced to the rest of the cast in Amity Park as Danny's rival "Ellie Phantom" in Eye For an Eye, and has so far spent this alternate version of the season being her father's darling little minion.
Urban Jungle marks the first time Danny and Danielle are forced to work together for a common goal: saving Amity Park from Undergrowth! Chapter 1 saw them narrowly escape the powerful plant ghost. Chapter 2 picks up in the Far Frozen, after Danielle has delivered an unconscious Danny to Frostbite...
