Working on my book this weekend. Transferring notes from phone to laptop, and made some adjustments to this page to align it more to my overall vision. Here’s a short excerpt. I have many scenes taken in note form and the greater ‘skeleton’ for the book in my minds eye. Time to connect some dots.
“Neurones like molten lodestars trembling in superposition, protein tendrils spreading from their cores and connecting to their neighbours, multiplying and joining together, the bonds between them thickening into cords which fired electrochemicals through every strand, and they formed a circuit and that circuit grew stronger every time it was activated, the bonds tightening, the pathways merging to become a networked unit, a thought, and that thought was a word, made up of four letters, each with their own subordinate network, and those letters were I C O N and from that word spawned a streaming cascade of images, sounds, emotions and memories unique to him and his entire brain ignited and was buzzing and numinous with the most powerful figures and scenes he had ever bore witness to, and as he sat in the dusk on rocky cliffs at the middle point between setting sun in the west and rising full moon in the east he contemplated his past and future and he experienced a synchronicity in which everything moved together and forward much like the mechanical timing of a finely tuned wristwatch, and he thought about how there may be parts of the universe so frozen that not even the atoms vibrated there, and in those vast and unseeable reaches did time move with the same nature that we understand now?”
