                        holding the sketchbook close to his chest , and                         propping it up against his knees,  dante  traced                         the thin pencil over the paper. eyes glancing up                         every now and then to the lake,  where  a small                         group of water  nymphs  were  sitting  still  and                         quiet for him,  albeit for a string of giggles they                         let slip out at times.  they  must  have liked the                         attention,   but  they  really  were  good  sports                         whenever he felt like sketching them.

       “ the naiads are wonderful models,          don't you think? ”

                        dante leaned on his elbows back on the grass,                         taking in the gentle breeze pushing against his                         skin.   he  wasn't  quite  sure  who  the  person                         standing  near  him  was,   but   he   spoke  his                         thoughts aloud anyway,  gaze  unmoving from                         the sky.

       “ sometimes, being a demigod feels          like a curse.  i  don't feel SPECIAL          at all.  i  think  i'd much rather be a          regular mortal. ”

not too much of a bother! this is the first time i’ve drawn either of them so i haven’t gotten their faces down to a science yet but this is about how i saw them while reading.
