Character: Princess Zelda
Cosplayer: Glingaerhel
I remember when I was a little girl I had been so sure that Zelda could turn into a boy at will, and that's why Sheik was a thing. Then I learned about binders.
Photographer: Sven Farrugia
Cosplayer: MalteseLizzie
Character: Madame Vastra from Doctor Who
MermaidSymphony as Cinderella (ballgown).
This version of Cinderella comes from the Broadway version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.
ichigo_m. is a local cosplayer from my college, and she's pretty rad! Here she is as Merida, Serenity and Sailor Mercury. She is amazingly talented, so check out her coscom if you're interested in seeing more from her.
Wonderful article by the Sailor Venus Chaka that we had posted a few months ago, and really worth the read!
Shadow Lugia, Ash, and Mewtwo fromPokemon.
Shadow Lugia is from the game Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Lugia was corrupted by the evil Cipher organization, and is said to be the strongest shadow Pokemon. Mewtwo first appeared in thePokemon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back.
And Ash... Well, come on, everyone knows Ash!

Glitch from the Sy-Fy mini series Tin Man.
Based on the Scarecrow from the Frank L. Baum'sThe Wizard of Oz,Glitch is a smart man who needs some help to get his smart out. Despite having had his brain removed, and sometimes repeating himself without knowing it, Glitch still throws around some pretty brainy ideas, busts a martial art move (while simultaneously grooving), and intelligently handles some attitude problems from the other members of his ragtag group.

Old Lace from Marvel's short lived Runaways series.
Old Lace was a special gift from Gertrude's time traveling super villain parents. She was a genetically engineered dinosaur from the 87th century that responded to Gert's emotions and thoughts. It's handy to have a dinosaur as your pet/mind slave.

Two completely different groups doing characters from the Little Mermaid movies. The top shows Ariel and her daughter Melody from The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea. The bottom picture is a group from Switzerland. From the left: Melody, Attina, Adella, Ariel, Athena, (the mother fromThe Little Mermaid 3)Aquata, Andrina, and finally Alana.

My apologies~
Mia here to say sorry for not posting for quite some time. I said I was back, posted four pictures, then disappeared again. I'm sorry! Obscured has been busy making her adorable fleece creations to sell at several craft fairs, and I just started school again.
All I can do is apologize again and promise to try to keep up with this project!
Genderbending Blue Rose from Tiger and Bunny.
The show is set in a world where super heroes have sponsors. Blue Rose, as you can tell, is sponsored by Pepsi NEX.

Original costume personification of Gluttony and Wrath from the Seven Deadly Sins.
Cosplayer: battyjuice (as Gluttony)
Princess Celestia (as a human) fromMy Little Pony; Friendship is Magic.
This costume is a magnificent example of how to take a character who is an animal or creature and turn it into a human outfit!
Princess Celestia is the ruler of Equestria, the land where all the ponies live in MLP. She lives in Canterlot with her sister, Princess Luna, who was once the dreaded Nightmare Moon.
The princess is one of the very few horse looking characters. Most characters, regardless of age, look like ponies, but Celestia and Nightmare Moon are much more streamlined, and seem more adult.
Cosplayer: Mistress_9
Princess Vault Dweller (an original character) from the Fallout series of games.
The explanation given by cosplayer robynnbor667 totally makes this costume.
"From Vault 106, Princess has lost her mind from the psychotropic drugs pumped into her vault. Now she wanders the Wastes, talking to herself and doing the Charleston as she evades Caesar and those goddamn radscorps."

Back in business~
Hey guys, this is Mia here, head editor blah blah, and I'm back from my trip. It was long and dumb and internet deprived (also fun) but now I am back to sate your cosplay needs. Thanks for your continued support while we weren't updating much, and send some love to Obscured for all her hard work while I was away. <3 <3
Your blog is absolutely wonderful. There is a real love and positivism in it. Thank you for your hard work! I am definitely following you!
Thank you so much for your positive response! It makes us feel all warm and tingly inside.... like hugging a basket of kittens! You have no idea how happy we are that people are willing to look at our humble, body-positive blog and we sincerely appreciate any response we receive. So thank you :)
