What is this? A crossover episode???
The show and the fandom really want me to think that Eloise is being a “not like other girls” because she doesn’t like the idea of becoming a man’s property when she marries him - even if there is love, she belongs to him - and she’s apparently a spoiled privileged child for thinking that that is wrong.
Even this season is acting like her disinterest in Hyacinth’s etiquette lessons is her being selfish. Eloise is older than Hyacinth. Eloise has already taken these lessons.
Eloise wants to learn science and philosophy and math and history and economics. This is like watching all your brothers go to college while you have to sit in on your sister’s high school Home Ec class that you’ve ALREADY TAKEN as punishment for not wanting to marry.
Eloise is constantly treated as though she’s an immature self centered brat for not wanting to talk about dancing and hosting and fashion and marriage. The show and the fandom punishes her for feeling constrained by her life.
How is it that the show gives more sympathy to Anthony for the constraints of being the head of family, sympathy to Benedict for feeling like an outsider (which Eloise does too! He’s just allowed to pursue alternate lifestyles and SHE IS NOT), sympathy for Colin for feeling purposeless (when Eloise ALSO feels purposeless because she doesn’t WANT to just be a wife and baby machine), but little to no realistic sympathy to Eloise???
At this point the show is clearly taking a very anti feminist stance and making Eloise into more of an annoying child for chafing against social norms of societal misogyny that she CANNOT ESCAPE than any of her brothers for chafing against social norms and feeling kinda bad about it :///
Lucas standing up to Andy to defend Dustin, Lucas jumping over the table to get to Will, Lucas visiting Max and not giving up on her, Lucas staying with Mike and Nacy after the attack to their family, Lucas... and I am supposed to believe he's not the heart of the group?
The Party ⚔️✨
Need this look back on my screen, I miss them so much. Bring them back, please! ❤️💙
Let's just ignore the fact she almost had you dissected/I'm kidding jdjsj
Not as scary as that model, D.
But also.
THE FACT THAT HE REMEMBERS SAMMY'S SPEECH FROM THE THIRD EPISODE.
Kinger doesn't like seeing his daughter cry.
