Ken was hungry, but he ate slow, It was no surprise really, though. He wasn’t even sure that he could finish what was in front of him, but he tried to so he wouldn’t worry Daisuke. He winced as he moved in his seat, a hand twitching to go to his side but he didn’t want to alarm anyone. It would pass.
It wasn’t long before both Daisuke and Chibimon were done with their food, the pair having all but devoured their food. When Daisuke noticed Ken wince, however, he blinked and frowned at the other, clear worry in his eyes. “You okay, Ken? Do you need me to grab you those pills again?” he asked, wanting to help his friend as much as he could.
“I’ll be fine,” he said softly, smiling weakly over at Daisuke. But the moment he moved to take another bite, it was harder to hide. A hand went down to clutch at his side, his eyes tightly closing. That one really hurt…
Daisuke frowned and was instantly at Ken’s side, ignoring his own pain to help with Ken’s. “Let me see it…” he said softly, gently reaching down and tugging Ken’s shirt up, wanting to see exactly what was wrong.
Ken flushed despite the situation and tried to pull away. “I-It’s nothing, really,” he tried to protest. As Daisuke lifted the shirt up however, some pretty bad looking bruises came into view, most likely from his fight with the other Ken earlier, or from the digimon who’d been guarding his cell. With the pain he seemed to be in, it wouldn’t be surprising if he had a broken rib or something.
Daisuke ignored Ken’s protests and reached out slowly, ever so gently tugging at the bruises. He’d had similar ones, up until recently, so he knew how painful they could be. He soon stood up and gently kissed Ken on the top of his head, making his way towards his bag. “I’m gonna get you some more medicine.” he said. Ken was hurt, and Daisuke was going to take care of him. After all, Daisuke had always wanted someone to help him when he’d been hurt like this…
He frowned when Daisuke had seen them, not really wanting him to. They weren’t that bad, at least he’d like Daisuke to think so anyway. He shook his head, moving to sit down and waited for his return with the medicine. “Alright…” he said softly, wincing a bit as he moved. Why was he trying to hide the fact that they so obviously hurt?
"Why are you trying to hide this from me?" Daisuke asked, clearly worried as he walked back towards Ken, bottle of pills in hand. He'd been hurt almost in the exact same way and could help, so why wasn't Ken telling him anything. Granted, Daisuke was still pretty hurt and wasn't telling Ken about that, but still. Daisuke was used to this pain, Ken was not.
