@courier-zero
it’s Fallout 3 time (alright yea and one adult MacCready)
The Minuteman Guide to Commonwealth Travel AKA the “Blue Book”: an experiment in Wasteland Cartography
Whew, that title’s a mouthful.
Kristine is my first Fallout 4 playthrough where I’ve sided fully with the Minutemen, so I’ve spent a lot of this playthrough focusing on gaining and building settlements. Like, all of it. I only leave to get more wood and steel because I’ve scrapped every building, tree, and car in multiple settlements (thank god for Scrap Everything).
Being so invested in the Minutemen and settlement building this time around, I got to wondering: how would the Minutemen, especially pre-Castle and pre-Radio Freedom, operate? Even if you clear out an area, raiders sometimes respawn, such as in Concord, or an area can become more dangerous after the player interacts with it, such as Thicket Excavations. What’s a wasteland settler to do, and more importantly, what are the Minutemen going to do about it? These questions led to the creation of the Minuteman Guide to Commonwealth Travel, known more colloquially by the settlers as the Blue Book.
More info under cut.

Watching a German FO3 and the dub for being mean to Gob is literally telling him to go to Texas.
I dunno why Texas is making me wanna laugh so much. Why Texas?

MacCready: I can't believe Sole only paid me 200 caps to follow them
Every other companion:
like i know bethesda figured one of those endings was a Good ending and that the sole survivor is indisputably the savior of the commonwealth……….. but the truth is theres no ending where you Dont set off a nuclear bomb just so they can hollowly say war never changes again…. maybe im just anarchist but i dont see the room to argue the sole survivor was a good thing to happen to the wastes
Fallout 4 Companion Eyes Preston Garvey Preston’s eyes have seen too much for someone as young as him. They’re tired eyes - but warm, soft. A mother’s eyes, brimming with empathy and care despite the circumstances. There’s a trace of hope in those depths. When he looks at you, you think that maybe things are going to be alright.
Something a little different. I recently attended a Fallout Photoshoot as an NCR Veteran Ranger from Fallout New Vegas. Thank you to everyone who attended and making it an absolute blast. Your cosplay’s were fantastic; I can’t speak highly enough about them.
And of course thank you so much to our wonderful photographer.

Todd please
Bethesda really looked at the Ranger Armor and went “wow cool suit!” and will give it to you for $13/mo
Now that people are finally starting to realize how awful lootboxes are, expect to see more and more egregious ‘battle passes’ like this as AAA publishers attempt to pivot to other models for post-launch monetization.
