Buddie & Tarlos in Nashville
The high-energy neon lights on Broadway begin to soften into a warm amber glow as the midnight hour hits. The honky-tonk crowd thins out, leaving behind empty glasses, scattered ice, and the lingering bass of country rock.
9-1-1: Music City Heat — Nashville Arrivals & Reconnections (Buddie & Tarlos Crossover Adventure)
When Los Angeles (118) firefighters Buck and Eddie travel to Nashville alongside Austin (126) paramedic T.K. Strand and Texas Ranger Carlos Reyes, a weekend off-shift with Station 113 quickly evolves from a wild night on Broadway into an intimate, life-changing crossover.
The Night Out on Broadway: After an energetic night at the honky-tonks with Station 113’s Lieutenant Ryan, Roxie, Taylor, and Blue, the four visiting men head up to Suite 1204 on Floor 12 of The Grand Hyatt. Tarlos proposes setting aside shift stress and first-responder protocol for a night of total freedom.
Crossing the Boundary Line: Buck and Eddie officially cross the boundary line of their long-standing friendship, giving in to years of unspoken feelings with encouragement from T.K. and Carlos.
The Master Bedroom Rotations: The four first responders move to the master suite and engage in a series of partner rotations:
Buck & T.K.: T.K. breaks through Buck's initial hesitation with fluid confidence and playful banter.
Eddie & Carlos: A grounded, intense pairing driven by mutual respect and authority.
Carlos & Buck: Carlos offers Buck a steadying, reassuring presence to let go of his usual heavy burdens.
T.K. & Eddie: A high-energy, fiery dynamic that catches Eddie delightfully off guard.
The Morning After: Sunday morning brings a relaxed afterglow. Over a hotel breakfast—where under-table hand grazes, knee contact, and elbow bumps keep the connection alive—the four reflect on the night. Meanwhile, Station 113 crew members settle into their own quiet Sunday routines (Ryan making breakfast for Sam and baby Millie, Roxie enjoying lattes with Elena, and Blue making pancakes for Taylor).
Airport Departure & Future LA Plans: At Nashville International Airport, Tarlos and Buddie share warm goodbye hugs and kisses before boarding their separate flights back to Austin and Los Angeles. They commit to a future reunion in LA, complete with a organized playdate where Eddie's teenage son, Christopher, can babysit T.K. and Carlos's adopted toddler brother, Jonah, alongside Buck's fostered biological son, Theo.

9-1-1: Nashville is kind of funny because usually in a multi-generational drama series the younger generation gets all or most of the angsty romantic melodrama and the older married couple, even while they have their own problems, is the supporting beta couple that's a steady cornerstone and aspirational example for the younger generation—but here it's almost the other way around. Taylor and Blue took their handful of episodes to get together and now they're just cute and pretty smooth-sailing. Roxie’s got her romantic trauma but she's coming out the other side of it. Ryan and Sam began the show separated but reconciled and now have a baby on the way. Meanwhile, Blythe & Don + Dixie, the “grown-ups”, are still getting mad and fighting about stuff from 2 to 3 decades ago. Like, good grief. To the point that Ryan is so over it he’s abdicated himself from the narrative and knowledge of his parents’ drama, lol (even Cammie, the other older generationer, is having a very sweet but very slow burn Second Love story).
Blue: Baby, I just realized something. I had a bad childhood.
Taylor: Yeah, I know.
Blue: What do you mean you know?
Taylor: Look at you.
Blue: What you mean, look at me!?
Taylor: Look at how you stand. People who had good childhoods don't stand like that.
Don: Blue? Blue!
Roxie: Where could he be?
Taylor: [Whistles for him]
Ryan: ….Taylor, we’re looking for Blue, not Marmaduke.
