Because the transmasc cowboy type, it appears everyone seems to agree on a set of traits that the archetype (that doesnt really exist in a typical sense) possesses . But it appears to be grounded in nothing. Because the people writing it are both unfamiliar and unengaged with any interpretation of the time period, the media it inspired and how that all works and comes together for a worldwide audience as well as the hollywood propaganda machine. Its not based in a genuine interest or desire for understanding. Sure its regarded as a masculine thing, but so is cars and golf and trucks and cutting wood. But theyre not posting about that. And its not like theres a general interest.. idk. I was talking years and years ago about it to someone i knew who was like that, so i suggested watching a relevant movie. Like hey if youre interested in cowboys like you say, why not watch a western tonight? And they bring up that the movies are problematic and evil so they dont want to know. I say sure, but we can find ones that try not to be, or imagine the time period in a different way, we can read about it or something. If this is something you think is intriguing we can figure something out. Right? And i bring up films i know which address this, movies focused on native american rights or movies which interrogate the genres ties to upholding white supremacy. But thats not the point either. They dont find that interesting either. Westerns are boring movies about stupid white men riding horses that old men watch. Like okay. If you believe this why are you so obsessed with the facsimile of it then!! I dont get it!!! If you hate the genre so much why are you posting all the time about what if they had top surgery instead!! I dont understand.
