And! We need cashiers. And convenience stores. And I think it's kind of broken that society says people who want to do stuff like that have "low" ambition (not you OP, I get you're using it illustratively because that's what society labels said jobs) and don't deserve to live at the same standard as people with "high" ambitions.

If we need someone to do a job, that job is a role in the community and deserves not just a salary but cultural respect for the role.

"high" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve domineering and controlling others. "low" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve service to others. Have you noticed? Because I have noticed.

Noticed it yesterday when we watched 4x07 with a friend, but I kinda do get why Dean trusted Cas so early on now. His storyline with Sam at this point mainly goes with Sam keeping secrets from him, undermining his worry and concern, when Cas almost immediately is ready to tell him something that in Heaven punished with torture. Add to this and the way Cas is so empathetic towards him. Just during their first meeting he says "Good things do happen, Dean" and "You don't think you deserve to be saved" and then "Don't be so hard on yourself" and looks at him like That in 4x03

And then Also in 4x07 says "I don't envy the weight on your shoulders, Dean. I really don't" and that he was praying Dean would choose to save the town. And they have met for just 4 times here. I really, really not surprised Dean did and Wanted to trust Cas.
