Bre dishinikashoon. I am an emerging two-spirit artist currently based out of western Canada. I am a proud Otipemisiwak woman; I don’t have a specific pronoun preference, so any are fine. I have an overactive imagination and a taste for chaos that leads my art in absolutely any direction it pleases.

That is to say, I dabble in eccentricities! I love classical oil paintings as much as technicolour anthropomorphic animal characters, so be ready to expect the unexpected whenever it comes to my work.

I cried after visiting with my friends today.

I forgot what it felt like to feel like I belong somewhere, even for a brief time.

I forgot that the ache I've been feeling is loneliness that runs deeper than my words can dig.

I remembered the guilt of knowing I could be bridging the gap if I put more effort into connecting.

And then I cried some more to remember where my energy goes every day during the week, instead of where I wish I had bandwidth to be.
