something abt the aesthetic of a family dog in the 80s or 2000s or even earlier like the 50s makes that dog in me happy. specifically hiw they're depicted in film

Reactivity

The white swiss shepherd dog tends to be more friendly towards strangers than the gsd when properly socialized and I'm definitely not friendly around new people.

Whenever a stranger gets too close, my body tenses, my mouth closes, I avoid eye contact and I feel the urge to growl to push them away(in some cases, my instinct tells me to bite). Even when they aren't doing nothing but minding their own business I feel pretty uncomfortable.

After months of research, I finally realized that I'm a reactive dog. I always knew I was territorial, but never considered the possibility of being reactive.

Age regression kind of, but Steve getting upset and crying in Eddie’s lap, and he’s so distraught that he’s doing that little hicupping thing and when he calms down a bit he sucks his thumb, and Eddie rocks him in his arms and kisses his hair and lets him fall asleep feeling safe.
