Ironically, this is something a lot of woke activists need to understand because they screech about every privilege under the sun EXCEPT class and wealth privilege... because they usually have it themselves.

An upper class woman is NOT being oppressed by a guy in the slums, and Oprah Winfrey has way more privilege in society than a white guy in a trailer.

They came really close to an epiphany.

“Privilege isn’t bonus points for you and your team. It’s unfair penalties that the other team gets that you don’t.”

Then fucking stop calling it privilege. Stop talking about people being privileged. Talk about discrimination and disadvantage.

Rather than alienating people by calling them privileged or claiming they have some special advantage, which they likely don’t, draw attention to how someone else is getting fucked over. They’ll probably be on your side.

Just because Peggy McIntosh was a self centred idiot who can’t figure out that people are being discriminated against, doesn’t mean you have to also be a moron.
