Ermal is a new employee in the HR Department in a big, well-known company.
Fabrizio has been working there for five years, in IT Department
Ermal has some kind of problem with his office computer and the girls from his team immediately advise him to contact IT. One of them actually volunteers to help him with the call. He doesn’t understand it at first, since it’s not really such a difficult task, but things get pretty clear when the rest of the team starts talking about that one IT guy, who’s simultaneously cute and hot. Ermal’s colleague dials the number she apparently knows by heart and grins while looking at the landline phone installed on his desk.
“Fabrizio, IT, how can I help you?” Oh, wow. That’s a really nice voice. Quite shy, but he wouldn’t mind hearing it more often.
“Hiiii, Fabri, it’s Maria from HR,” she says in the sweetest tone Ermal’s ever heard. “We have a new friend in our team and there seems to be some problem with his computer, could you come to check it out?”
“What exactly is going on? Maybe I can help from my desk.” Ermal is about to start explaining the issue, when Maria violently shakes her head to stop him from saying anything.
“I think you should just come here, we have no idea what’s going on, to be honest.”
“Alright, I’ll just finish one thing, give me fifteen minutes.”
Ermal busies himself with the files he was supposed to go through anyway, but stops when the girls’ loud conversation turns into whispers. He looks up and sees a man approaching them. A very good-looking man.
“Hi, I’m Fabrizio,” he says quietly with a shy smile and now Ermal understands exactly where his friends’ excitement comes from.
“I’m Ermal. And there’s a…” Before he can finish, Fabrizio already starts typing something on the computer, his eyes so focused on the screen he probably doesn’t even notice how the entire HR team is checking him out. And Ermal has the privilege to be the closest and smell his cologne; this man definitely isn’t the stereotypical IT guy.
“Okay, now I think it’s all good.” He straightens up after no longer than two minutes and looks at Ermal again, the shy smile returning.
Meta quickly checks if everything is working and grins. “I’m honestly hopeless when it comes to technology. I don’t know what kind of magic just happened, but thank you, really.”
“Just call the next time you need anything,” Fabrizio runs his hand through his hair, blushing. “So, see you around, I guess.” He shrugs and quickly walks away, with the younger man glancing after him.
Maria smiles and whispers to Ermal: “Oh, I bet you will.”
“What?” He raises his eyebrows, acting innocent.
“I saw where you’ve been looking, darling. And he actually never told any of us to call him, you know.”
“Come on, it doesn’t mean anything, that’s his job, right?”
“Yeah, sure. Except they always tell us to send an email to their help desk address. Calling is technically just for emergencies, we just wanted to show you our hottie and that was the perfect opportunity.” She gets back to work with a smile still present on her face. “I hope you’ll be having more trouble with that computer.”
