Tried & Tested - Soft Pretzels
Hell yeah. Last night I made myself some Soft Pretzels using This Recipe.
I would like to confirm that they are fantastic, easy to make, everything went according to plan and are so delicious I am literally eating one for breakfast as I type this.
I fully recommend this recipe and definitely suggest you visit This Link which has 7 Mini Videos helping you out along the way! I found it when I googled how to roll dough into a pretzel shape. When you watch the video titled “Twisting Pretzels” totally wait for the end because he shows you the difficult way probably 5 times and then is like oh also this way, which is 10 times easier in my opinion.
Happy Baking!!

Another foray into baking! This time I made some mini apple tarts. Nothing too complex. I found a great pastry dough/pie crust recipe that used sour cream. The dough turned out flaky, puffing up a little in the oven and making utterly divine bottom crust! I also made two completely wrapped in the crust, sort of a apple turnover type deal. Those were good too, I might use that idea the next time, when I use my raspberry and blackberry flavors.
I used this recipe for the dough, some store bought pie filling, and baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15-17 minutes. They turned out beautifully brown on the bottom and amazingly tasty! I finished up with a nice sprinkling of cinnamon and powdered sugar for prettiness and flavor.

Life Emerges Inside Elaborately Carved Wooden Books
Self-taught sculptor Nino Orlandi, but what we do know is that he can create some magnificent stories through his elaborately carved wood. From a very young age, the Italian artist has been passionate about sculpture and, although he had to put it aside for many years, he has spent the past 13 years dedicated to his passion for the art form.
This series of work is a collection of wooden books in which all kinds of details emerge from the raw material. Hands reach out, trying to escape the confines of the pages, faces seem to appear out of nowhere, and unknown characters are set behind wooden bars, trapped within the various pieces with titles like The Book of Life, The Magic Mountain, and The Book of Dreams. Orlandi has a vivid imagination and his fine works bring the characters of these storybooks to life in front of our eyes.
