a girl falls into a fight her blood says murder and thereâs this graveyard city around her at the bottom of an abyss

âIâm always having fun, love. Something you should know about me.â Damon lifted off the ground and shot forward, grabbing at a human on the run. âBut Iâm learning to share,â he said before tossing the human toward Natalie. âBatterâs up!âÂ
ââYou forgetting weâre old pals?â Natalie winked at him as she watched him toss the human across to her, like a puppet. He was already hurt just from the toss itself. With the bat behind her neck, Natalie crouched beside him, a look of faux pity on her face. ââI used to be like this.ââ She told him. ââSo weak. Itâs really hard to imagine that my bones would break just like yours,ââ She paused. ââEssentially, Iâm just... way past you at this point.ââ She sighed and without a second thought, hit his shoulder with the bat. ââBam!ââ
andrea-clark:
âIâm a big believer in everyone being where they need to be. Everything has a purpose even if we donât know why.â
ââThatâs... incredibly optimistic.ââ
Itâs been too quiet lately.

Using his abilities Damon tossed a desk over the railing once he reached the stairwell. About halfway down there was a scream then a huge crash at the bottom. It didnât see like this group had encountered an Original before by the way they screeched in fear, making his job much easier.
He waited then followed the desk over the side and down, letting his body free fall until he reached the level he had heard the scream. âBoo!â He said announcing his presence as the group scrambled away.
The screams from the inside elicited Natalieâs attention. ââAw, I think heâs having fun without me. Thatâs not nice.ââ She announced to her companion with a faux sad face. ââSo, now Iâm gonna tell you how this is gonna go.ââ Natalie started off as if she was about to give an elaborate step-by-step explanation. Instead, she swung the bat from the back of the guy who was now on his knees, smashing against his head and with a loud thud, he was on the ground, unconscious with a bloody wound on the back of his head. ââNo... guess Iâm in a hurry after all.ââ She said lightly, and almost with a pep in her step, she continued on the inside.
ââWhoa whoa whoa,ââ She said as she stepped in, a big part of her still on the lookout for a potential surprise. ââWere you gonna have fun without me?â She rhetorically asked Damon who was apparently toying around.
andrea-clark:
Andrea snorted. âLife is never easy, no matter what your outlook.â She had discovered that lesson the hard way. âBut I suppose if it makes things easier, thereâs no harm in it.â
ââItâs as easy or difficult as you make it.ââ Natalie said, a little on the colder, blunt side. ââHad I chosen a different side, wouldnât have that made everything more difficult than it already is?â
original-vincent-smith:
Vincent kept his eyes on her and tried to gauge her emotions, or at least her body language since her block was up. âGood. It will help, trust me.âÂ
Natalie entirely disagreed with him but she wasnât going to oppose him. If there was anything she felt, it was awe and respect even though it didnât necessarily mean she would listen. ââThank you for your time, I appreciate it greatly.ââ
andrea-clark:
Things donât have to be that way. Even if you donât believe in love for whatever reason it doesnât mean you are on your own.
Natalie chuckled, taking a sip of her drink. ââI used to have that romanticized outlook, too.ââ She shook her head. ââUntil I didnât anymore and things became much easier.ââ

thedamon-smith:
Damon nodded and took off into the air once more. He approached the building they were last seen fleeing into quietly but built up speed. Right before impact he smirked and rolled his shoulder, crashing though one of the many large windows. He rolled across the floor of what had been an office of some sort.Â
âCome out little piggies!â He roared as he jumped to his feet and sent the closest desk hurtling to the stairwell, blasting open the doors and making a ton of commotion. Enough to surely let anyone know who and what was upstairs.
Now there was something impressive. As Damon tore through the building wall like a tornado, Natalie raised her eyebrows, nodding in awe and approval. Wouldnât that be a handy thing to do? She heard him call them out, as if dragging rats out in the open and wondered if that was going to work. Probably not -- no one sane would face an Original, especially if on the opposite side of the war. She smirked at the way he called them, having fun, as if this was just a game and someone was not about to lose their life. She found a vicious satisfaction in it, something she could not exactly explain. It used to scare her to death but ever since she let go of her inhibitions, it was something that affected her the same way a drug would.
Natalie was not stupid to go inside while they were hiding and possibly waiting. No. She was going to wait the piggies out. Listening in, she could tell that Damon was causing destruction on the inside, making it impossible for them to remain in hiding. And surely enough, there was a guy who thought he could escape. Narrowing her eyes at him as he made it to the front entrance, Natalie flashed him a calm smile. ââHi there.ââ With a bat still in place over her shoulder, she tilted her head to the side. ââI take it you were not having a lot of fun inside, were you?â She asked rhetorically, while the guy was so obviously weighing his options. ââHereâs what Iâm wondering. What would you choose? The bat or the gun? I know which one Iâm gonna have more fun with.ââ She grinned, eerily at that. He muttered something along the lines of a cuss and a ââbitchââ and she rolled her eyes with a sigh. ââWell, then, you made my choice much easier.ââ She said as she swung the bat right at his kneecaps, eliciting a cry of pain as she hit the spot and he fell to the ground.

âWellâŚI suppose if I just happened upon it. No one would really blame me for watching and not trying to stop it.âÂ
ââExactly. You surely havenât forgotten how to have fun with all your queen duties and responsibilities.ââ

thedamon-smith:
âThen you incapacitate them. Only five dead, and leave me the bodies or whatever if left.â He didnât care how she did it as long as she followed his direction. Anymore or less could be written off as an accident. Damon didnât want this looking like something accidental. This was a punishment, a culling. The message had to be clear.
âIâll drive them out and you do what you have to.â Heâd also keep an eye out for any traps and reinforcements. Though he doubted any hybrids would coming running to their aide once it was clear what was happening. He knew even Liz would let them die rather than face the music.
ââFine,ââ Natalie nodded. Lately sheâs been practicing incapacitating far more than offense or defense. Defense was hardly a part of her training at that point; she was pretty confident that if she was ever to be in another fight, she would be the one attacking, not the other way around. She felt done feeling like a victim or feeling small or unsure of what was she supposed to do. She wanted to take control over her life for once and if this was the way, then she was all for it. It gave her a chance for more independence than she ever thought possible before, at least in her case. She didnât care about the controversy it essentially brought. She hardly cared about anything anymore.
ââSure, boss,ââ She smirked over at Damon as she placed the bat over her shoulder in a playful manner, looking like a kid about to open a Christmas present. Her gun was ready, naturally, but if this was supposed to be a punishment, just killing off a few of them was not going to produce enough of an effect.

âWhile I would love to participate I always like staying out of trouble.â Mina chuckled. âSomething Iâm sure you donât really worry about.â
ââNot even as a spectator? I can create an arena just like the ones your husband is sporting, but mine would be verbal, and we all know how well-used words can affect anyone.ââ
andrea-clark:
You sound a bit jaded. Werenât you in a relationship yourself?
Right. But things donât work unless youâre a queen, so I better look out for myself instead. I would always suggest, you do the same.
