❝YOU HAVE TO BE MORE CAREFUL !❞ and the Prince leaned down , flicked the marble into the circle , making it push two out of said dirt circle . ❝you need sharp eyes for this game , I do not judge that you can not understand it or play it but I am here to teach you .❞ self proclaimed master of hide and seek and of course , master of playing with marbles too . The fact that he had to read something , forgotten , pushed into the back of his mind . ❝try it again ! I will watch you .❞

Amusing, for the prince to lecture him, when he is but a child in the body of a young man. The mere fact that they are playing this game is indicative of how innocent, how removed from the real world this child is. And yet he sits here, indulging in the prince’s desire to play. As much as he dislikes the patronising tone, he would not return even if they were of the same rank. Which they will never be. « Yes, your highness. » Manners bite when there is bitterness on his tongue. And so he leans in, does as he did when he was little and playing with his brother who would always best him in the fine skills, though not without glancing upwards for a moment. The other members of court must not see him like this. Yet the next marble misses its target just the same. « My fingers were not made for such fine things as yours, my Prince, » he comments with very little resignation. « It is the sword they were made for. Perhaps I had better simply watch. »
