The world felt like it was ending.

The team, if you could even call the seven of them that, had no plan. No hope, either.

Thousands of people had fallen victim to The Reach and their brainwashing, and parts of the country were in shambles. More than half of the team was among The Reach's ranks, meaning they weren't just outnumbered but outgunned too.

And yet, through all the chaos and the thought of death's eager hand around every corner, Bart Allen was having a crisis of his own.

Because it turns out Bart may or may not have a crush on his best friend, Jaime Reyes.

And that was the LAST thing he needed to deal with during the worst mission of their lives.

i really cannot emphasize enough how much it means to me that queerness is shown in will’s flashback scene (and robins memory) as childhood innocence. so many people see queerness as something that is inherently sexual or inherently adult, and then for robin, it’s remembering how confident she used to be before the world made her feel so scared. it’s will remembering how happy he felt when mike asked to be friends with him. how loved he felt when playing d&d and building castle byers.

it poses the question: “who were you before you tried to be everything that society asked of you? who were you before the world, and all its expectations, got its hands on you and made you feel like you were broken? who were you when you were five, and seven, and nine, and the world was so vast and beautiful and nothing mattered?”

who are you at your most authentic, under all the layers of fear that you’re clinging to? that is the only person who can save you.

Can we just take a second to acknowledge that they are the only too characters in the show to who know about and are protecting a queer person.

Just like- stop the competition for a second.

I just wanna take a second and acknowledge the beauty of that. Amongst it all, we have their values and their love. The "we're not so different" of it all.

Steve and Jonathan are the only two characters who know about queer people in their lives.

Steve and Jonathan are both the first people a queer character felt safe with. <3
