Day 17 of #marchmeetthemaker is #photography. Originally all my product photos were taken by my partner who runs his own graphic design business. He has no photography training but he has a good eye. Over time I've picked up a few pointers from him and all the photos you see now are done by me (some are better than others I must admit!) This photo is a pic I took of him taking a pic of my Christmas collection last year as I made a complete hash of it when I tried 😱

Day 16 of #marchmeetthemaker is #timetorelax My favourite way to relax is in my conservatory with a good book. It has to be a real book though not an electronic book. I'm a bit old fashioned like that, I love the look and feel of a real book although I do see the merits in electronic books for going on holiday!

Day 9 #MarchMeetTheMaker is #goals. I have lots of goals, some big, some small. They range from trying to tidy my work area to having a business that's a household name. Ok so that's probably a rather large, perhaps unachievable goal, but it's nice to dream. Running a business can be a scary thing, particularly when opportunities arise which take you out your comfort zone but if you don't try you don't know and there are more regrets about what you didn't do than what you did. Day 8 of #MarchMeetTheMaker is #where. I was born and bred in Cleethorpes on the Lincolnshire Coast and now live in Grimsby after stints in Hull and York. Grimsby is a port town attached to Cleethorpes and is famous for fish. In Grimsby we are known as 'codheads'. There's good reason for this as you will not get better fish and chips anywhere in the world! Hello, it's me 💖

Hello everyone and welcome to the new blog for Crayations. My name is Michelle and I am the proud owner of my small family run business, well I say family run but it's just me for now with the occasional help from my 11 year old. We design and make novelty shaped crayons for little and not so little kids to encourage 'crayativity' and to help little ones get back to colouring. We now, as at last week have the new website, you can check it out at www.crayations.com and we are also on the main social media feeds if you wanted to follow us on there too. In today's news we are busy with a new addition to our letter sets. It's a whole new style of alphabet and the mould came all the way from the U.S. so I'm super excited to see how they turn out.
