Saturday Night Lights
GABRIELA ATANASOV, 21, PUBLIC RELATIONS STUDENT, ROMANIA
GABRIELA’S STYLE: My style is all about “less is more” and is influenced a lot by my fashion icon Audrey Hepburn and the 50’s. I like fine cuts, structural looks that put in light the architecture of a woman’s body, besides that I adore vintage clothes and accessories because they have a story to tell, they are unique and priceless for me. Anyway I like to think about myself as a versatile person so I like to mix vintage pieces with modern cuts, new clothes, accessories. . I don’t think I have a signature trademark or pieces I always wear but I have to admit that I have a lot of pencil skirts and 50’s dresses in my dressing and I can’t stop from buying vintage earrings and clips because they define my outfits.
INSPIRATION: The Past inspires me…i always said that you can’t have a future if you don’t know your past besides that I believe that nowadays all we do in fashion is reinventing the past in order to have something new!
On the other hand, Audrey Hepburn is for me the most beautiful woman ever, all about her inspires me, that’s why I saw my first collection as a tribute i brought to her. I just wanted to see more grace & class on the streets, more feminine looks, so I decided that I should be the change. !!! I like to seek for inspiration everywhere, starting from a song, a vintage video, a country , a city and ending with a leaf that just fell from a tree. Also I love to study people they are a great source of inspiration too. It is very important for me to have a challenge in fashion, for me it is like a game…you have to play it otherwise there’s no chance to win it….
FASHION + STYLE: Fashion is general…style is personal there is a big difference for me… Fashion offers you millions of choices, it has a lot of garments & colours to offer it is your style that has to do the decisions, not the money. I’ll never agree with somebody who blames money for not having style…this is something that you have to feel, it is like love …you can’t buy it!!! Also for me style means attitude, you achieve and develop it in time. It has to become unique and individual it is like your DNA.
THE MOST STYLISH CITY IN THE WORLD: “I believe that Paris is the place where i should have been born.” This is one of the things you’ll find in “my definition” on my blog. Yes Paris is for me the most stylish city in the world especially during the Fashion Week…that is the moment when you can literally see an explosion of beauty and art on the streets. For me Paris is the place where fashion was born.
HOLIDAY WISH-LIST: My wish-list has changed a lot this year because now I can create anything I want in my own atelier, so first of all I would like to buy new fabrics to start creating my next collection. Besides that i just NEED the new Chanel Noir fragrance, it is on the top of the list right now and also I have a crush right now on a GOLDEN turban that i saw in a vintage boutique here in Bucharest and i am going to do all my best to have it!
FALL FAVORITES: I love wearing hats, turbans, leather, metal …and a lot of burgundy during Fall.

Haha Brilliant! This photo was on FM104's Facebook page and gave me a laugh!!
Just curious as to why you tan?
Personally, I just think I look a bit better with a tan. I would only really put fake tan on if I am going to be showing my legs though!x
'The Basics'
Evening curvy girls,
Tanning is very important in Ireland where we experience roughly 1 day of sun a year. This post explains the basics of tanning.
First things first - always exfoliate before tanning! It helps the tan to go on more evenly and avoids streaks. Also, use a glove - they can be bought for a couple of euro so there's no excuse for orange hands.
Apply the tan to the centre of the area and work it out. For example on the leg, apply the product to the centre of your calf and rub it in. When there is less product on the glove glide it over your knees and feet, which don't need to be as dark and also tend to streak more if too much product is used. Run around naked while it dries and then wear loose clothes so lines don't appear.
Tip: When doing the hands, lightly run over the knuckes when your fingers are bent. If you tan when your fingers are straight there will be little lines when you bend them.
The products I use are in the picture above. I love the Garnier gradual tanner. The smell is nice and it gives a good colour. Apply instead of normal moisturiser after your shower. Dove is also good.
If you are looking for a deeper tan for a special occasion then No. 7 tanner is perfect. Two coats over two days gives a great colour and as there is a slight tint even as you put it on it is easy to avoid streaks. It doesn't smell great though so you will have to put it on when you have time to be alone for 2 hours before showering!
If you don't tan all the time and need a quick fix then Sally Hansen is your girl! I use this most of the time as I'm quite lazy when it comes to putting on the gradual tanners. Just spray it on the glove and massage on the skin. It dries quickly too so it's perfect for last minute nights out!
Finally, there is the Dove gradual tanner for your face. Now I can't use this as my skin is very sensitive on my face but my mam absolutely loves it so definitely give it a try. If you use tan every day then make sure, if your not tanning your face, that you bronze well. There's nothing worse then a brown neck a white face!
If you have anyway questions then just holla!!

Evening curvy girls!
On Saturday my family and I all gathered together to celebrate my wonderful nana turning 90! She is an absolutely crazy, amazing woman and I love her so much! There were a lot of photos taken that day so hopefully there'll be a couple to show you all!
Anyway, I was a little tired from my night out on Friday but I managed to put together an outfit for the day.
Top - Dunnes, Shorts - Awear, Brogues - Penneys/Primark
I was happy with the outfit and was comfortable in it. They high-waisted shorts gave me a good shape and the puffed sleeves on the top balanced out my chest! The brogues added a little bit of preppiness to the whole outfit too.
My mam is in the second photo and she also looked fab - she wanted me to take a picture of her lovely new haircut but the condition was that she would be on my blog. Love you mammy!!xxx
So, what do you guys think??
'The Basics' Post 2
Evening curvy girls!
Face
I wash my face every evening with my simple face wash. I think it's really nice and gentle and my face feels really fresh after. Then, of course, I moisturise. It's not great to over-wash your face because washing away the oil too often will cause your skin to start over-producing that oil. So try for just once a day, either in the shower or before bed, unless you've been in the gym or feel really grubby. In the mornings I usually just splash my face with water to wake me up and then moisturise.
I've found a lot of people don't moisturise, saying it's because they have oily skin. Big mistake! By moisturising your skin well, both with creams and drinking water, you are giving your skin less of a reason to produce excess oil. So if you're one of these people - GO BUY A MOISTURISER!!
Another must is a nice facial scrub. The one I have is Boots tea tree. Boots own products are really good, in my opinion. The tea tree is good for pimple control. This is especially good in a scrub as they can sometimes irritate the skin so the tea tree counteracts this somewhat. Use this once or twice a week to get rid of dead skin cells and keep skin looking fresh. I tend to do it on a Wednesday (because I might be tanning) and then again on Sunday (I feel it's nice after a weekend of lots of makeup)
Body
I'm not picky about my body wash, as long as it smells nice! The one above I got as part of a gift set when I was leaving my internship (thanks Liz and Neil!) I love the bottle! The only thing is (and I know I'm being weird and OCD) the flower is pink and the theme in my bathroom is black, white and RED! Seriously - every time I'm in there it annoys me!!
As with the face, you need a good body scrub. Again, I have a Boots brand. The stuff is usually good quality and value. I do this on a Wednesday before tanning, and a Sunday after tanning!
Finally, razors! I've tried so many different ones with gel bars, 5 blades, vibration (!) but at the end of the day I get the best, smoothest results when I use a good old fashioned razor and shaving gel. So that's what I do now! I'm lucky because once I shave my legs they stay totally smooth for about a week and a half. So I get two weekends out of one shave. I just leave my razor in shower and run over my armpits when my shower gel is on. I have to do it every time because even a tiny little hair FREAKS me out there! Again, I'm lucky because it doesn't irritate my skin. If your skin does get irritated it's best not to do what I do!!
If you have any questions let me know!

Evening curvy girls!
So I went out on Friday night to a fundraiser for the local rugby club and had a great night! They had their own blind date and it was hilarious. You never know, a couple might have found love too!
Anyway you can see in the pics what I wore. I was really happy with the outfit. I didn't want to be too dressed up so I wore jeans but I did put on some KILLER heels. They're cream, purple and leopard so I don't get to wear them very often, but I love them. I also wanted to wear a nice flowy top because I'd be sitting down and didn't want to have to hold the belly in all night!
I followed one of Chloe Morello's tutorials to do my eye makeup and think it came out really well - What do you guys think? Link is under the photo!
Top - Penneys/Primark €17. Jeans - Topshop years ago. Shoes - River Island sale '11.
Do you guys like the outfit?
Evening curvy girls!
Just found this amazing video showing how to do winged liquid liner! I am terrible at doing this with a liquid pen but I can do it well with a brush and shadow so I'm definitely going to pick up a liquid pot and try it. Chloe's are amazing!! She's gorgeous too, check out her youtube page!! Click the title for link.

Seriously! I swear this is how I look first thing in the morning!
Evening curvy girls!
Ok, so here's post one in my 'The Basics' series, Shower time! I've broken it into three groups: Hair, body and face! So I'm going to start with hair and then do face and body together in a day or so.
Now, I have been so bad to my hair over the years. I hardly ever got it cut and I would throw in home dyes all the time with different shades of blonde. One of my best friends has been training as a hairdresser and I have been her model a few times. Anyway, long story short, her teachers were horrified at the state of my hair - so weak and damaged and knotted and loadsa colour build up. So they cleansed all the colour out and gave me highlights. Since then I've been really working to get it back in good condition with regular cuts and with the products below. I've even let my roots grow out! Thank God the balayage look has been in! It's gotten so much better this past year so I'm going to treat myself to highlights for christmas!
For your hair you need a shampoo and conditioner obviously! Get one for your hair type. Shampoo hair - I think once is usually enough. Then squeeze out the water and apply the conditioner. Leave in while you wash your body and then rinse. You can see in the picture I have a shower hair brush (it's a heart - aww!) My mam got it for me and it's really good for working the conditioner through your hair. Also, it seems obvious, but brush your hair before you get into the shower - the products will work better if it's not knotted.
I LOVE the Aussie brand - it smells amazing! I get the one for dry/damaged hair. What's great about the conditioner is that it actually works as a mask too if you leave it in for about 3 minutes. About once a week I will leave it in longer than usual - I usually fill the time by doing my legs! Your hair feels so amazing after! If you have REALLY damaged hair (which I did awhile ago - hence the strict regime) then put in your conditioner, wrap your hair in a towel and leave it in for about 20/30 minutes. The heat really gets the product working!
Two other products you see are optional, but I think they're great! The first one is the Aussie leave in conditioner. I spray this on to towel dried hair before I brush. I do this for extra moisture and also because my hair knots easily so this helps.
Finally is the Moroccan oil. Now this is a bit on the expensive side but it lasts aaaages. I take just one pump and rub it into my hands then apply on my lengths and ends. It's just a great product to protect and repair your hair and it also helps with shine and blow drying. It also smells great. Seriously - my sister always tries to sniff my hair whenever it's freshly washed!!
Stay tuned for the the next post in my 'The Basics' series....

Evening curvy girls,
So I was telling you I've been getting into the youtube videos to learn about makeup so I just HAD to share this page with you...
Sinead Cady is an Irish youtube guru and her looks are so easy to follow and copy. She is also possibly the nicest person ever and her accent is lovely, so that helps. The makeup she uses isn't expensive either, which makes a nice change from the other makeup artists always using mac etc which not everyone can afford.
Please check her out and start following her - you won't regret it!!
