the art of growing.
have you ever felt like everything has been running way too fast and each and every moment just feels like there’s a certain halo effect in it, wherein people have become so fascinated with stereotypes. whether it be related to attraction, interest or personal opinions, people are biased enough to have different standpoints on things. and you’re just like, woah. you don’t know whether to see is to believe or it’s the other way around. you just feel like you don’t know which one is right and which is wrong. you don’t follow your intuition. you are influenced by your peers and certain commodities around you. it doesn’t feel wrong nor does it feel right, but this is growing up. it sucks because life is short, just like what people tell you. you are told to make the best out of this shortly lived life. and there you are, hanging by a thread. it seems to me that growing up feels like watching a movie begin and end. as a child, you learned to see the good when something new begins. but as you age, you are trying to see the good when things are about to end, just like the sunsets. it’s like telling yourself that when some people leave your life and stop hanging with you, there are chances of knowing that there’ll be people who will come into your life and never leave your side. as cliche as it sounds, that is how life is. i am still 15 years old and i don’t have any idea how to live beautifully out of this given life. but all i know is that there is beauty everywhere around you. there is so much beauty in places that scream hunger, poverty, violence and so many others. there’s so much more to fathom in this vast planet around us. and this is how i see it. to me, this is the art of growing. the art of growing tells us that as human beings, we try and try until we succeed. no, let me rephrase. as human as we are, we are bound to make mistakes and fail. however, we are certain that even if there might be failures and imperfections around us, we still cling to what makes us happy- no matter what happens. so, to end this speech, i’d say that the art of growing is a cycle wherein people fail and succeed and the cycle repeats.
