First of all, you can call me Andy. My name changes sometimes in real life but Andy is a pretty safe, gender neutral one to use for me.

Concept that gives me comfort:

Me on my flare up days, barely able to get out of bed or move or do *anything* and I so desperately want to. I'm stressed and upset about it and on the verge of tears. Then my cg listens to my worries, and places a paci in my mouth. "Don't you worry, button. We'll have a good day today, I'll make sure of it!"

They give me my body pillow and a stuffie and fill up my bottle with juice (maybee water). They make sure I take pain medication and have my comfort hoodie and that I have access to a simple salty snack if I need it.

Then they cuddle up with me to make me feel less like a burden or like I'm being lazy and we watch animated movies together.

I'm flaring so bad right now, I just like imagining this.

Your Regression is 100% Valid Even If... 💜

You use a paci regardless of your regression age.

You wear a diaper regardless of your regression age. Also, diapers are not necessarily s*xu@l. Some people wear them for medical reasons too.

You use a bottle, sippy, or regular cup regardless of your regression age.

You watch things or play games that aren't child-friendly or not necessarily geared towards kids while you're regressed.

You eat "grown-up" or adult foods when you're regressed. Regression isn't always dino nuggets, Happy Meals, and other "kid foods."

You don't have an exact regression age. Some people regress to a range of ages. Or you might just say you regress to a toddler, kid, teen, etc but you don't have a specific number to put to it. Or you just feel younger. Everything is valid!

Everything isn't pink and cute and "girly."

Your regression doesn't have an aesthetic.

You watch newer kids shows rather than the ones you grew up with. Or a mix of both!

You don't type/speak in baby talk.

You have a disability (physical or mental) or chronic illness.

Days or even months go by between times that you regress.

This is so awfully specific but I want a lil family so bad. Yes, I am greedy. A mommy and a daddy caregiver who coo at me and take me places and a big sibling who let's me play video games with them sometimes and maybe a baby sibling that I can build blocks with and teach them all the big kid stuff I know and I just wanna have a happy lil family 😭

Being a non-gender-conforming age regressor is confusing because all my nostalgic media is for girls, and I also don't really feel dysphoric when I'm little so hair clips are a must-have, but I also love doing boy things that i didn't get to do in my childhood because I was raised as a girl... so many decisions!

Like, I want all the overalls and dinosaurs, but I also want to watch mlp and play with my lps, but I can't do all of that at once!

Sometimes as an age regressor who is also chronically ill my day is spent in bed with a heat pad and only eating soups and bread. Plushies and cartoons to help drown out the aches and nausea. It doesn't make you any less of a regressor if you are chronically ill and have symptoms that many find gross. If you are a regressor who's also chronically ill be kind to yourself.
