kadri'ra notes !!!! mostly for myself for @kitty-chimaera 's game, since canon information is sparse to say the least.
varaan-tsofin (my player character) is a pretty unusual colour for an adult kadri'ra, so there's two examples of more common colours, as well as notes on their lifecycle, sexual dimorphism, and one notable medical condition they can develop a 'soft shell' - kadri'ra have a notably strong carapace usually, but if they don't get enough nutrients when they're juveniles from their parent then it might not harden fully, causing a slew of health issues. this is mostly relevant due to the mass enslavement and genocide of the species, which very harshly affected the older population who stood the best chance at raising successful, healthy broods. younger kadri'ra are smaller and weaker, and less able to properly nurse babies.
